The Soul System in the Apocalypse -
Chapter 155: Divided into Two
Chapter 155: Divided into Two
Booom!
A huge explosion occurred as the necromancer who was in the mist form, was suddenly forced to revert back to his physical form. At the same time, the body of the necromancer was blasted into the hallway.
Henry looked at the necromancer who had collapsed on the ground in the hallway with an indifferent expression in his face. Although he was feeling a lot of pain from the wound that he had suffered, he still managed to hold on.
He had already suffered for 10 years, where from time to time, they woulb be beaten up if they messed even a little in the organization that they were being held in.
Even though it was true that he was not used to the pain that he was feeling, but still, he had already gotten used to enduring.
Knowing that in his current condition, he was not capable of fighting that much, he decided to take out a healing potion from the system inventory.
He had purchased a lot of things during the time that there was a discount on the system. So, healing portions that had reached the third star were amongst them, although they were not that much.
Since the wound that he had suffered from was from a stab, Henry took out a potion that was green in color. Then without hesitation, he popped open the cork of the small bottle that he was holding, before gulping all the content inside.
Henry felt a refreshing sensation coursing through his body. At the same time, the wound that was on his right chest began healing up. Although it was not that fast, however, Henry was sure that it was going to be healed in about 2 minutes.
Rolling and getting out of bed, Henry went ahead and picked up his sword that was placed not far away from where he was sleeping. After that, he walked out of the room, towards the necromancer that was just stumbling back to his feet.
The Necromancer had been hit by a fireball. But of course, if Henry had utilized his full strength, it would have already burnt the necromancer by now. It was just that, he was not sure if the territory building could actually withstand the power of the fireball if he utilized his full strength.
That was the reason why he limited himself when he attacked. In this way, he would be able to push away the necromancer, and at the same time, ensure that the territory building was not affected.
"How...how are you awake now? You are supposed to be out for at least one week. How is it possible that you have already woken up and it has only been a few days?" The necromancer asked, disbelief clear in his eyes as he looked at Henry as if he was looking at a monster.
What the necromancer said immediately caught Henry’s attention. He did not expect that the necromancer actually knew something about his condition.
Although he was a little curious about the information that the necromancer possessed, Henry was not willing to have any source of danger continuously staying inside his territory. As for how this necromancer had managed to get here, he was not sure.
With incredible movements he was able to approach the necromancer. Knowing that there was no way that he was going to escape from here, the necromancer immediately set up the barrier around himself.
He had already previously witnessed the strength that Henry possessed. So, he was sure that although he was having a barrier around himself, it was going to be completely useless in the face of Henry. But, he was not willing to die. So, he could only try the best that he could to make sure that he maintained his life.
As for begging Henry to allow him to continue living, that thought never crossed his mind. Anyway, although he had been previously given a chance, he had already wasted it by trying to attack and kill Henry.
Additionally, from the expression that was on Henry’s face, he did not seem like he was a person that was going to show mercy to his opponent at all.
The moment that Henry attacked, he activated the mountain splinter skill. He was not willing to continue wasting time, so, he went for the kill the moment that he attacked.
Slash! Splat!
What happened next surprised Henry. And of course, he was not the only one, as even the Necromancer who had his body split into two pieces had shock in his eyes before he died.
Henry immediately tried to retract the attack that he had launched, but still, he was a little bit late. So, the sword that had just got the barrier that was enclosing the necromancer into two as if it was nothing, managed to hit the floor.
Bang!
An explosion rang in the air. At the same time, the floor where the sword had landed was immediately cut. Had it not been that it was being supported by other parts of the building, that part of the floor would have already collapsed onto the lower floors.
’It seems that I have gotten stronger. Why was it that I did not even realize it?’ Henry wondered to himself as he looked at the floor that had been destroyed.
He currently knew that had it not been for the fact that the territory was quite strong, unlike normal buildings, this attack would have at least destroyed half of it.
[The territory building has been damaged. To repair itself, 10 level 1 Bronze rank mutation crystals are required.]
A prompt appeared in front of Henry. This was the one that came from the system that dealt with the apocalypse, rather than the soul system.
Henry felt his brows twitch a little. 10 level 1 bronze rank mutation crystals? Just to repair the small area actually required such a huge amount of mutation crystals?
Although it was just 10 level 1 bronze rank mutation crystals, but, one had to know that currently, the apocalypse have just started. So, the number of bronze rank apocalyptic creatures was quite low.
Wasn’t it just not long ago that they had gone out to look for creatures that had already reached the bronze rank, but, they did not find many of them. Instead they found just one, before they finally encountered the group of necromancers.
’Whatever! We’re going to deal with that later on.’ Henry thought to himself before he finally began communicating with Diana. After informing her that everything was okay, he also communicated with Storm, knowing that the necromancer actually came from where Storm was watching.
It turned out that after storm realized that the Necromancer had disappeared, he had immediately begun searching. It was just that, he had not expected that the necromancer was actually going to attack Henry.
And, although it was true that Storm could not speak, however, his intelligence was not to be underestimated.
After realizing that there was a group of monsters that was attacking his territory, Henry was just about to go out when he was informed that, currently, the situation was not that bad.
Since that was the case, Henry decided to know what had happened during the time that he had passed out. So, he finally focused on the prompts that had been floating in front of him ever since he woke up.
[Congratulations for killing a creature that is five levels above you. You have been rewarded with the title of Supreme Slayer.]
[Congratulations for being the first human to be able to slay another creature from a different race that is several levels above you. You have been rewarded with two level up chances used immediately.]
[Congratulations for reaching the fourth level of bronze rank in the Warlock profession.]
[Congratulations to the host for reaching the fifth level of Bronze rank in the warlock profession.]
[Congratulations to the host for reaching the sixth level of bronze rank in the warlock profession.]
[Congratulations to the host for reaching the fourth level of Bronze rank in the summoner profession. (Activated only when the fusion skill is used.)]
[Congratulations to the host for reaching the fifth level of Bronze rank in the summoner profession. (Activated only when the fusion skill is used.) ]
Henry was stunned after reading through the prompt that he had received. He had actually managed to level up three times in the warlock profession! One had to know that it was difficult for him to level up considering that he was possessing a unique profession.
So, despite the fact that he had actually killed the clone that was already at the 8th level of bronze rank, he had only managed to level up once. As for the other two level ups, that was due to the reward that he had received after killing the clone.
Then again, there was the summoner profession. This was yet another thing that surprised him. He had managed to level up twice, but, what he could not understand was that, the level up was only applicable during the time that the fusion skill was used.
Did that mean that if he wanted to fuse with either storm or Diana, their levels would be improved to the fifth level of Bronze rank? Not sure about his speculations, Henry decided that he was going to try it out later on.
Finally, the big reward that he had received was the title. So, Henry focused on the title and finally, the information about the title was presented in front of him.
