Chapter 138: Worried Olivia

When the crowd realized that they could not enter, they immediately became frustrated. This was especially so for those that had their children inside of the territory.

This was to be expected. Previously, when their children were being taken away, they had no choice considering that outside was completely dangerous. So, they thought that being inside this territory was actually the safest thing that they could do.

But now, it was completely different. After all, they so far, had not encountered any danger other than the other groups that had formed their own bases. Of course, there was always a group of people that wanted to rob, catch others to work for them and so on.

Since there were no zombies in the city, the parents thought that they could finally have their children. After all, there was no need for them to continue being separated from their children, if the reason did not exist anymore.

Additionally, they were told that to enter the territory, they had to be useful. But, there was no way that they were going to choose a profession if they did not kill the zombies. And, the zombies disappeared.

So, what could they do? There was no way that they were going to agree to be separated from their children for that long. So, they went against joining the other territories that had invited them, and only came here because of their children.

But, no matter how much they had tried convincing the people of this territory to allow them in, or send the children out, they did not respond.

They were completely against it considering that the leader of the territory was out. So, the group had no choice but to continue waiting outside the barrier.

Although they really wanted to rush in, there was nothing that they could do about it. But, it was completely different now. They had realized that a Jeep had just come over, and entered.

For that reason, they realized that perhaps the leader of the territory had arrived. Anyway, they had never seen him before. Nevertheless, they looked at the Jeep that stopped some distance away and began shouting.

"You b*stards! You better let me in right now! Otherwise, I’m going to make sure that I destroy this territory if I get a chance!"

"I want my son right now! What do you want to do with my child? There is no longer any danger outside here, so, you better bring out my child!"

"You better not try abusing the children! We no longer care if the governor is part of your territory or not! He is a traitor! We voted for him, but he abandoned us!

Olivia and the rest of the group completely ignored the shouts from the crowd. Anyway, it was not like there was anything that they could do.

Olivia had already opened the compartment of the Jeep, allowing Adam to get out. Adam stared coldly at Olivia, before snorting at her and entering the Jeep.

Although he really wanted to beat up Olivia, he knew that currently, he had to put his focus on Henry. He had already been informed about Henry being unconscious. So, he was going to make sure that Henry was okay first, before dealing with other things.

After checking on Henry, he realized that Henry was breathing steadily. But, the only problem that he was having was that, he was sweating profusely.

Carrying Henry out of the Jeep, Adam took him into the territory building. After that, he placed him on the bed of his room on the topmost floor.

After that, he sat next to Henry, wondering what he was supposed to do. At this time, Sarah came over and informed him about what had happened.

She informed him that he was bleeding during the time that they found him. So, she cast a healing spell, but even after the injuries that were on his body healed, he didn’t wake up.

Adam did not reply. But, the anger within his heart had already reduced drastically. After all, although he wanted her to blame Sarah and Olivia, still, there was no doubt that they were the ones that had saved Henry.

Although it was true that if he had gone, he would have saved Henry nonetheless, but, he would not have been capable of healing the injuries that he had suffered. Additionally, they had not found anything that could be used in healing the injuries.

There was nothing that dropped after killing so many skeleton warriors, which was completely unusual. After all, by killing the zombies and monsters, they were able to get some items to drop.

However, even after killing the necromancers, nothing dropped. In any case, since Henry did not take out the healing potions that he had bought from the system during the time that there was a discount, there was nothing that could be used in case someone suffered from injuries. They could only depend on Sarah.

After sighing, Adam continued to stay by Henry’s side. He had to ensure that Henry was safe. Despite the fact that they were inside of the territory and were supposed to be safe, he could no longer trust everyone around him.

Henry on the other hand did not wake up. Several hours had already gone by, and night time was already descending. But, there were no movements from him at all.

This made Adam feel agitated. After all, he could not understand the condition that Henry was in, and neither did he understand what he was supposed to do to make sure that Henry woke up.

"Here is your food." Jasmine came in at this moment, bringing a tray that was carrying several plates of food. Since Henry had left out a large stock of food, there was no problem in cooking.

Of course, the food was not given out in large amounts. Instead, they were being given out in proportions. This was the method that Olivia had decided on. After all, although it was true that Henry was able to provide them with food, that did not mean that he possessed infinite amount of food.

Adam looked up. But, although he felt that he was hungry, he did not feel like eating at all. Anyway, since he did not have any grudge against Jasmine, he simply said, "Place it there on that bedside table. Henry will eat it after he wakes up."

Jasmine did not say anything and did as Adam had said. After she placed the food on the bedside table, she looked at the unconscious Henry, before leaving.

Outside the invisible barrier, the crowd had already been making a lot of commotion for several hours continuously. But, due to the fact that they did not have any food, they were forced to calm down.

Since they did not have much energy, they could only sit outside the barrier, waiting for the people inside the barrier to make a decision.

Of course, there were some of them that had decided that there was no need for them to continue staying here. After all, there were other bases that had invited them, and they did not need them to do anything.

So, they decided to join them. Although they had looked for food, they had realized that the majority of the supermarkets and food markets had already been swept clean.

The only people that were remaining outside the barrier were the parents of the children who had been taken inside the stronghold. They were of course unwilling to leave.

At this time, inside the barrier, Olivia looked outside with worry on her face. After all, it had already been several hours but Diana had not yet returned.

’Where did she go?’ Olivia asked herself with worry in her eyes. She wondered if anything had happened, or if the necromancer had done something like the previous time where he summoned another strong creature.

This was something that was giving her some stress. After all, Diana was Henry’s summoned creature. And, currently, Henry was unconscious. If he woke up and realized that they allowed Diana to leave, and she encountered something outside there, then, he might blame them.

At this time however, Olivia suddenly noticed that there were several lights that were heading towards the territory. It seemed that there was a group of people that was driving vehicles towards the territory.

Olivia decided not to pay much attention to them. At the end of the day, they were going to just shout a little, and after realizing that they could not break the barrier, they were going to leave.

Not long after, several jeeps arrived outside the invisible barrier. And of course, there were some of them that had tried to enter the territory, not knowing that there was actually an invisible barrier there.

As a result, the vehicles crashed onto the barrier, deforming the bonnet. This immediately surprised the group that was inside the vehicles that had crushed.

As for those that were following behind them, they immediately stepped on emergency brakes, causing the vehicles to skid.

The crowd that was gathered outside the barrier had already made way for them. And, they were of course not surprised when they realized that the vehicles could not enter the territory.

After they had seen that the Jeep that Olivia and the rest had come in had simply entered the territory, there were some smart people that thought that, only vehicle could enter.

They went ahead and looked for cars that had not been destroyed during the storm, and drove towards the invisible barrier. But the result was the same, the vehicles were not allowed to enter.

"Sh*t! What the heck is in front? I can’t see anything?"

"This might actually be a defensive mechanism of this building. Could it be that this group managed to find something good?"

"If that is the case, then, after we get it, we can strengthen our base further. This way, we can be the strongest base ever and rule the entire city."

As a group of muscular men carrying several types of weapons alighted from the vehicles, they began chatting while looking at the place that had an invisible barrier.
