Chapter 136: Traitor

Chapter 136: Traitor

"Everything seems normal. Even his temperature is normal. But, he is sweating as if his body temperature is up. This is completely abnormal." Sarah stated after she finished checking Henry.

"We do not have to continue wasting time here. Let us go back to the territory first." Olivia stated. Although she was worried about Henry, she did not show it on her face.

"Okay." Sarah stated before checking on Diana. She used the light energy in her body to cast the healing skill. Although it was true that Diana did not have any injuries on her body, Sarah did not find any other option that she could use to try and wake Diana up.

And not long after that, Diana finally woke up. The moment that Diana opened her eyes, she panicked. Before she lost her consciousness, she had noticed that there was a necromancer that was trying to kill Henry.

So, despite the fact that she had tried so much to restrain herself from passing out, she still could not hold on. But, there was still one thing that she was thinking all along. She had to ensure Henry’s safety.

That was why after she had woken up, the first thing that she thought about was Henry. And, realizing that she was alive, that implied that Henry was also alive. But, she did not know the current situation that Henry was in. So, she was ready to attack the moment that she woke up.

"Hey, calm down Diana!" When Sarah saw that Diana had just woken up and was taking a fighting stance, she shouted at her. Of course she was scared by the reaction that Diana was having.

Diana who had already been looking around for the traces of Henry was finally brought back to her senses by Sarah’s shout. She looked around and realized that, currently, they were still in the same place that they had been fighting.

The devastation that had occurred here was way higher than before. But, currently, Olivia, Jasmine, and Sarah were both here. And, she realized that Henry was lying on the ground a distance away.

Without replying to Sarah, Diana hurried to Henry’s side. She checked up on him and realized that, he had still passed out. Still, through the connection that she possessed with him, she felt that he was undergoing some kind of pain.

Although his expression looked kind of serene, however, the sweat that was trickling down on his forehead continuously increased.

"What happened to him?" Diana asked worriedly. She knew that she had already failed in her task of protecting her master. At the end of the day, she was a summoned creature. So, summoners always required protection from their summoned creatures.

"Currently, he is not in any life threatening situation. But, we don’t know what kind of condition he is in. After all, all the injuries on his body have been healed." Sarah replied.

"What happened?" Diana asked rather than replying to the question that had been asked by Olivia. She had noticed that there was no body of the necromancer. So, she wondered where it was.

Olivia went ahead and described to Diana what happened the moment that she arrived. Of course, she revealed the fact that she allowed the necromancer to leave.

During that moment, she had prioritized Henry, rather than killing the Necromancer. At the end of the day, it was not like she was capable of killing the Necromancer on the spot. She had to be engaged in a fight with him for a few minutes before finally managing to kill him.

Since she was the only one that had come over, she was not willing to risk the Necromancer attacking Henry during the time that they would be fighting. At the end of the day, Henry was completely helpless during the time that he had passed out.

Diana was relieved. After all, what she really cared the most in this world was definitely Henry as he was her master. More than the fact that he was her master, there was also another fact that, if Henry died, then, she was going to die as well.

It was not that she was not willing to die, but, she was not willing to die without a course. If she died, she wanted to die in a battlefield doing something for Henry as that was her role after she was summoned.

"We’re going back to the territory." Olivia stated once again.

Diana did not respond. Instead, she carried Henry back to the Jeep. After that, she looked at Olivia and said, "Can you help me protect him?"

"Why are you asking? I am his second in command and I will definitely make sure that he is safe. But, are you planning to go somewhere?" Olivia asked with a frown on her face.

Of course she did not like being doubted. However, this was to be expected considering that she and Diana had not interacted for a long time. So, they were not that much familiar with each other.

Although it was true that Diana was a summoned creature, that did not imply that she was not like just any other person. Although she was an elf, she was just like a human. So, she could decide on who to trust and who to not trust.

"That’s good. And, thank you for coming back." Diana nodded her head and stated gratefully. She knew all too well that if Olivia and the rest did not come back, then, Henry and herself would have already died.

For that reason, although she delayed in saying it, but at least, she was grateful towards Olivia. The only reason why she asked if she was going to protect Henry was simple, she wanted to ensure that Olivia did it with intention, rather than coincidence.

As for how she was going to judge whether Olivia was saying the truth or not, that was her secret.

"As for where I am going to, I’ll be hunting down that necromancer. He has to pay for what he has caused." Diana stated as a cold light flashed across her eyes.

If it was not for that Necromancer summoning the clone then, Henry would not have been forced into the condition that he was currently in. None of them could understand what was going on with him.

Olivia wanted to stop Diana. But, looking at Diana’s expression, she knew that Diana had already decided on the matter. Additionally, other than the fact that Diana herself was just as strong as she was, Diana was Henry’s summoned creature.

For that reason, Olivia was not willing to offend her. So, after a moment of thought, she said, "You can go. But, you have to ensure that you prioritize your safety. Although it Is true that there is only one necromancer that is remaining, we cannot be too sure about how many races appeared in Crystal City or nearby. And in case there is something that you need help with, you can contact me through the walkie-talkie."

"I’ll keep that in mind." Diana stated before she turned around and left. Currently, she had decided that since she had failed to protect Henry, then, the best solution that she could have was to make sure that she found the person that was the cause of all this.

Olivia watched as Diana left. She could only shake her head as she knew that with Diana’s conviction, there was no way that she was going to change her mind. Additionally she could not understand the mind of a summoned creature.

Anyway, she believed that Diana would be able to handle most of the situation. After all, other than the creature that had been summoned by the necromancer, Olivia did not believe that there was any other creature that was going to appear during this time that was just as strong as the creature that Henry had faced.

Although she had not seen what kind of creature that Henry had been fighting against, she knew that it was completely dangerous. After all, the injuries that Henry had suffered were not to be underestimated.

"Okay. Let us go back to the territory now. We have been away for a long time and with Henry out cold, we don’t know the current situation of the territory." Olivia stated.

Henry had been getting feedback about the condition of the territory through storm. But, ever since they had separated from each other, Olivia and the others did not know if the condition of the territory was going on well, or something had gone wrong.

Just after Olivia entered and took a seat on the driver’s seat, a raged roar reached her ears.

"I’m going to kill you b*tch! F*cking traitor! How dare you attack me from behind?!" Adam who had just woken up shouted angrily. He had previously supported Olivia that they were not supposed to go to the territory, but instead, wait a distance away from the battlefield.

This way, they would be able to react in case there was something that went wrong. But, just after he had become impatient and wanted to rush towards the battlefield, he was suddenly knocked from behind, and he lost consciousness.

Of course, had it been that Olivia had attacked him with the intent to kill, then, he would have realized it. But, having already dropped his guard around Olivia, he did not expect that she was going to attack him. Additionally, the distance between the two of them was so short that he did not even have a chance of reacting before he passed out.

Now that he had woken up, he found that he was actually inside the compartment that was present inside the Jeep. But, it was locked. Unless the driver unlock it, there was no way that he was going to get out of there unless he destroyed the Jeep.
