The Soul System in the Apocalypse -
Chapter 130: An Anomaly
Chapter 130: An Anomaly
"You know, I was previously planning to give you a position of a soldier in my camp. But now, I have changed my mind. Since you already know so many secrets of our dark race, you will join us as a slave or I’m going to kill you. The choice on the matter is on you." The clone stated in a cold tone that was filled with killing intent.
"try me if you have the ability to do so." Henry replied with a cold and indifferent voice. But, he was still cautious when facing the clone. The distance between them was quite big and it was going to be a difficult task for him to handle the clone.
Although it was true that he might have decided to escape, still, that was not a choice that he currently had. Other than the fact that his territory was present in crystal city, there was a fact that this was a battle for domination. That implied that, they were bound to meet sooner or later.
Without hesitation, Henry drew out the Raging Fire Flood Sword that he had gotten from the system. At the same time, he activated the energy in his body as he transformed that energy into fire that covered the sword which he was holding.
When the clone realized that Henry was actually preparing himself for a fight despite the fact that he had already seen through the current power level of the clone, he could not help but give a disdainful smirk.
Looking at Henry who seemed not to have any intentions of holding back, the clone said with a voice that was laced with arrogance, "There is always something that will never change in you humans. That is the fact that, some of you are so weak minded that when they are scared a little, they would immediately submit."
"The second one is the fact that, there are some humans that don’t know their limits. They want to continue doing something despite knowing that they are weak and what they are struggling for would end up killing them." The clone continued.
From the expression that he was having, it was obvious that he did not take Henry seriously. So, he continued speaking, "These two traits are within all humans. Although the first one shows much weakness, I do believe that that is a group of smart people. As for the second, there is no doubt that they are idiots that don’t understand the immensity of heaven and earth. So, tell me, what category are you in?" the clone asked with a smile on his face.
Instead of a response from Henry, he was attacked. Of course, Henry did not want to continue wasting time blabbering nonsense with the clone in front of him. For him, since they were bound to fight against each other, then, there was no need for him to continue delaying it.
Since he was facing an opponent that was at a higher level than him, he was not planning on holding back. So, the moment that he attacked, he began utilizing the three-star level skills.
Mountain splinter skill was activated, and the sharpness of the sword was increased by two times. At the same time, Henry mobilized a great amount of energy in his body, not willing to spare anything.
The clone’s eyes squinted as he looked at the attack that was heading his way. He had not expected that Henry was actually going to attack him despite the fact that Henry was currently five levels behind him.
"Humph! Ignorant fool!" The clone snorted before retaliating. The clone was not a warrior, but instead it was a mage. So, it condensed a sword out of dark energy, and used it to block the attack by Henry.
Clank!
Even though the sword that was condensed by the clone was from dark energy, the moment that it collided with the sword attack from Henry, a clanking sound like that of metals colliding rang in the air.
A shock wave was created at the moment that the two attacks collided with each other. At the same time, Henry was forced to retreat several tense of steps. With a solemn expression on his face, he looked at the clone in front of him as he felt that the hand that was holding the sword had somehow become numb.
As for the clone, he did not retreat even a single step back. Instead, he stood rooted in place as if there was no storm that could shake him. Nonetheless, he was looking at Henry with a weird expression on his face.
"How much of an anomaly are you? You currently possess a sword that is sealed, and the skill that you are using are way above the current level of the apocalypse. Just how many secrets are you hiding in that body of yours?" The clone asked with surprise in his eyes.
"I guess I will have to capture you so that I can get the secrets that you are hiding. Perhaps this might be a method that can enable us to dominate the entire planet faster." The clone looked at Henry and stated with a smile on his face.
Henry did not respond. Instead, with a solemn expression on his face, he decided to begin using the skills that he possessed fully. Additionally, previously, during the time that he was attacking, he had instructed Diana not to attack first. He wanted to test the waters first.
’Support me from long range. Make sure that you don’t approach him.’ Henry communicated with Diana using the telepathic connection that they shared.
’Yes master.’ Diana replied with a stern expression on her face. She currently knew that the existence that they were facing was actually way off charts. Currently, it was an existence that was not supposed to be present in this level of the apocalypse.
Even though she believed that the two of them possessed incredible combat capabilities, but, there was still a fact that, they were still 5 to 6 levels behind the clone. So, it was definitely going to be a difficult task to handle him.
Nevertheless, since Henry had decided to continue fighting, then, there was no way that she was going to retreat. Without any hesitation, she raised the bow that was in her hand and aimed towards the clone.
Deciding to go all out from the start, she decided to utilize the most dangerous skill that she possessed, collapsing arrow.
The energy in her body condensed into an arrow in the bow. This time, unlike the other time that she was facing the vein tree, she had become even stronger, and she was using almost half of the energy that was present in her body for this attack.
She knew that currently, she was six levels behind the clone in front of her. So, if she held back even a little, then, there was not going to be any damage that she was going to cause to such an existence.
Had they been facing an existence that had just leveled up to the 8th level of the Bronze rank, then, she would not have been this much stressed. However, the figure that they were currently facing was a clone of an existence that was of a higher level.
This existence could only send a clone forward because there was a restriction that prevented all those mighty beings from descending into the world at once. They were going to descend one after the other after the apocalypse progressed.
Swoosh!
The arrow cut through the air sharply as it approached the clone. At the same time, Henry did not stop his movements at all, and instead of stopping he moved forward to attack. This time, he also attacked using his mage path.
A fire dragon was summoned in the air. The air turned with the high temperatures of the flames that surrounded the dragon. It was as if the fire was able to burn the void itself. But, that was just an illusion.
Roar!
The dragon released a roar, before charging towards the clone. Of course, Henry did not stop at that, but instead, he conjured several arrows in the air, forming fire arrows that descended upon the clone.
The clone’s eyes squinted with surprise. He had never expected that the human in front of him was possessing so many incredible things that he could not understand. First of all, he could actually see information about himself.
According to how it was supposed to be. Currently, humans were not supposed to be capable of seeing through information of a being like himself. Surprisingly, Henry was able to do so.
Other than the fact that the armor that he was putting on was a three star level equipment, even the weapon that he was carrying was extraordinary. Now, other than the fact that he was a summoner, he also possessed incredible personal strength.
Then, there was yet another stunning fact that Henry was also a mage. And, all the skills that he was using now had already reached the three star level. The clone wondered just how many professions did Henry possess?
Additionally, he was wondering where Henry had managed to get all these things. It was precisely because of this that the clone believed that, the group of necromancers that they had sent forward to prepare a way for them, had failed. It was because of the existence of an anomaly like Henry.
Nevertheless, the clone didn’t care. He believed that, once he subdued Henry, then, it would not be a difficult task for him to find out the truth regarding the secrets that he was possessing about all the good things that he had gotten.
Looking at the attacks that were heading his way, he simply snorted, before clenching his fist to attack.
