Chapter 129: My Ambition

Chapter 129: My Ambition

He looked at Henry ferociously and asked, "Do you know what you have done? You have caused us to suffer innumerable losses. Do you know how much effort we had to..." He was just about to continue when suddenly, a small but firm shout interrupted him.

"Shut up!"

After hearing the shout, the necromancer that was busy shouting at Henry with anger suddenly stopped. At the same time, he trembled a little as he shrunk his neck. From what Henry could see, it was obvious that the necromancer was afraid of this mysterious figure.

"I’m sorry for my misconduct oh supreme one. Please punish me." After saying that, the necromancer got onto his knees. It seemed that other than fear, there was also respect for the figure in front of him.

Henry was curious about the figure that had appeared before him. Without hesitation, he focused on the figure and soon, a stats panel appeared in front of him.

[??? Clone

Race: Dark race

Power level: Level 8 Bronze rank

Skills: ???]

After looking at the information that had been presented in front of him, Henry was stunned. This was the first time that he had wanted to look at the stats of a creature and found that there were question marks.

Then, there was something that grasped Henry’s attention. That was the fact that the figure in front of him was actually a clone. Additionally, the current power level of the clone was at the eighth level of the bronze rank. That was already more than five levels ahead of him. Currently, he himself was only at the third level of the bronze rank.

As Henry was contemplating on the information that he had received, the clone looked at him with a shallow smile on his lips. "It seems that there is someone that is trying to see and know who I am. Don’t you know that there should be privacy to other people’s information? So, tell me, what have you found out?"

Henry remained silent as he looked at the figure in front of him. He was completely cautious at this moment, knowing that if the clone that was before him made a move, it would be dangerous.

Looking at Henry who showed no intention of replying, the clone seemed to be irritated as he looked at Henry with a frown etched on his face.

"You should be honored that I’m talking to you. I’m someone that a puny human like you should not be able to talk to. But, I’m simply lenient on you because I can see that despite being a summoner, you are actually strong yourself." The clone spoke as he looked at Diana who was standing beside Henry.

Henry frowned a little. From the words of the clone, it was obvious that the other party could actually see through him. It was just that, the other party could not see through his dual professions, with one of them being unique.

"You are nothing special. Just a mere clone with some strength in the bronze rank." Of course, Henry was not happy at the fact that he was being undermined. This clone thought that the human race was supposed to be weak. However, that was something that Henry wanted to change.

As someone who wanted to have the fate of his life in his own hands, then, he was determined to get stronger so that he would be completely out of the control of those that thought that they were supreme. Although he did not care about the human race as a whole, there was a fact that he was still a human at the end of the day. That implied that, if the human race was underestimated, then, he was also being underestimated.

The clone’s expression shifted after hearing Henry’s words. He was not only angry at the fact that Henry was talking to him as if he was nothing, but, he was also astonished at the fact that Henry could tell that he was a clone.

"You can see information about me? but, that’s completely impossible considering that the ability of the human race to see the stats of others should not be working on a being of my level." With surprise clear in the eyes of the clone, it stated as it looked at Henry.

With enthusiasm, he looked at Henry as if he had seen a rare piece of special and rare jewelry. With a smile on his face, he looked at Henry and asked, "I can see that you are special amongst the humans and possess incredible potential. So, why don’t you join our dark race? With the resources that we possess, it should not be impossible to nurture you to the strongest level that you have never imagined of."

Henry remained silent as he looked at the clone. From what he could see, the clone had more to say. "Of course, once you join the dark race, you will have to forget about the humans. And, for your first task, that would be to help us in securing a base here in this small city so that we can carry out our plans easily in the future."

Henry looked at the clone as if he was looking at a fool. It seemed that this guy was not that good when it came to negotiation. He was talking as if he had already seen Henry agreeing to join them.

After watching the clone speak for a long period about the plans of the dark race, about how they wanted to dominate the entire world and becoming the leading race, doing as they pleased, Henry shook his head. This guy must be nuts or something.

He was not the only one that thought of this. Instead, even the necromancer that was still kneeling on the ground was completely stunned by what the being that he had summoned was saying. He wanted to recruit Henry to join them? That was of course something that the necromancer would not agree to.

At the end of the day, they were from different races. Additionally, he still hated Henry from the fact that, he had already caused them a lot of losses. For them to be able to summon this clone, they had to use the resources that they had collected from the dungeon and the others that they had planned to use for something else that was going to aid them in their plans for domination.

Since he was forced to look for help back to his superiors, he had already given the impression that he was incapable. In the dark race, there was always a competition. And this was a chance that he had been given to get promoted, receive more resources to become stronger.

But now, the force that he had prepared had all been razed to the ground by Henry and his group, leaving him as the only survivor. As for the necromancer that was in charge of setting up the altar, he was amongst the sacrifices that had to be made in order to summon the clone.

After speaking for a long time, the clone looked at Henry and waved at him to move over. "You have to receive my mark so that if you meet with those from the dark race, they would not attack you. Additionally, the mark can be used to communicate with me in case there is anything that is needed."

With raised brows, Henry looked at the clone as he spoke, "I have a question. You claimed that your dark race is going to nurture me to the level that I have never imagined. Can it help me to become the strongest in the entire dark race so that I can rule over it?"

The clone was at first thinking that Henry wanted to confirm about something along the line of benefits that he was supposed to receive. But, after hearing what Henry asked, his expression suddenly became frosty. "Did I hear you right? You said that you wanted to be strong so that you can rule over my dark race?" the clone asked with squinted eyes.

At this moment, killing intent had already began leaking out of the clone, pressurizing Henry. But despite that, Henry wasn’t intimidated. Instead, he looked directly into the eyes of the clone and said in a calm voice, "You claimed about making me stronger than I had ever imagined. But, do you know what level of power I have ever imagined?"

Not giving the clone a chance to say anything, Henry continued, "I have an ambition, to become the strongest being in the entire world, being able to do as I please. And since that is my ambition and you claim that you can give me more than that, then, shouldn’t me becoming the strongest being in the entire dark race be something simple? Right?"

The frosty expression on the clone became more visible. At the same time, the aura on his body began leaking out. It was clear that he had been completely angered. "Hahaha! I should have known that despite the fact that you possess great potential, there is still a fact that you are a human. Humans are always known for their great ambitions. And as a low-level race, the ambitions that they have cannot be reached." The clone stated as he looked at Henry with amusement.

"You know, I was previously planning to give you a position of a soldier in my camp. But now, I have changed my mind. Since you already know so many secrets of our dark race, you will join us as a slave or I’ll have to kill you. The choice on the matter is on you." The clone stated in a cold tone that was filled with killing intent.
