Chapter 123: Prelude to the Final Battle

"It seems that we have to eliminate this group of humans as soon as possible. Otherwise, the losses that our dark race is going to encounter is going to be higher." One of the necromancers stated.

The others also had solemn expressions on their faces. They looked towards the Jeep, even though they could not understand the reason as to why the humans had decided to stay inside the Jeep, but still, they thought that it was better that they had decided not to leave.

In this way, it was going to save them the time of going around to look for them, while at the same time clearing the city. They could tell that, the humans that had come over this time were supposed to be the strongest ones present In the entire city.

And since that was the case, if they managed to clear out this group of humans, then, the remaining humans would not have anything to rely on. So it was going to be an easy task for the necromancers to occupy the city.

"Let’s wait until the leader comes back. I do believe that he should have already found what we are looking for. With that, we can be assured that we are going to dominate the entire city sooner than later." Another Necromancer stated.

The others also thought the same thing. Even though they really wanted to attack Henry’s group, they knew that, currently, with the prohibition in place, they could not do that.

Additionally, since this group of humans was capable of actually killing some of the necromancers inside the dungeon, then, that implied that they had some capabilities.

In order to be assured that they could defeat this group of humans, then, they had to wait for their leader to arrive. The leader that they were waiting for was actually the one that had been sent over by the dark race, to ensure that they occupied a city, and prepared for the arrival of the rest of the dark race.

Of course, this group of necromancers did not possess the same ability as the humans possessed after they reached the Bronze rank. They could not see the stats of other creatures.

This was the only advantage that had been given to the humans. As for the necromancers, they had their own specific methods that they could realize the other party’s level.

Well, even though it was true that the humans had been given an advantage, still, it was completely useless if they knew about the fact that, a certain person was actually stronger than them. If they did not have the ability to defeat them, then, what was the use of knowing?

Of course, Henry’s group had decided to stay simply because they wanted to ensure that they cleared the necromancers here. Since the necromancers had already gathered together, then this was a chance that they were going to use to eliminate all of them at the same time.

And in case they found out that they were not capable of defeating this group of necromancers, then, they might as well leave the place. With the ability of the Jeep to stop the attacks of level 5 bronze rank apocalyptic creatures, together with the speed that it possessed, Henry was not worried about getting out of here.

At this time, Henry had already realized that back at the territory, everything was going on well. Of course, the connection between him and Storm had already been restored after he exited the dungeon. So, from Storm, he could already tell that everything was okay, at least for now.

As they waited, Henry began frowning a little. He suddenly realized that, they had been waiting for about 2 hours already, but, the prohibition and the 3 hours that the event was supposed to end had actually not been completed.

That implied that, the 3 hours of the event were still going on. And if that was the case, that implied that, the time in the dungeon actually ran differently as compared to the real world.

[The dungeon actually possesses a different timeline. Additionally, the time inside the dungeon is slower as compared to the time outside. Even though you were given 3 hours, it is actually 3 days inside the dungeon.]

At this time, a prompt appeared in front of Henry. He was a little surprised, but, after reading the information, he finally realized what was happening.

For them to be teleported outside the dungeon, that implied that, it was not that the time limit had already been exceeded, instead, it was just that they had already gotten the opportunity that they were supposed to get inside the dungeon.

"Eish, just how many necromancers died inside the dungeon? Well, it is not that I am complaining, but, it seems that the monsters also possess incredible abilities to be able to kill so many necromancers." Henry was brought back to his senses by Adam’s words.

He looked outside the Jeep, and realized that, currently, the number of bones that had already been teleported outside the dungeon had already formed a pile. It was like a small hill already.

From this, Henry could tell that at least several hundreds of thousands of skeleton warriors had already died after losing their master.

Just then, from the corner of his eye, Henry realized that Jake had been teleported outside of the dungeon. Moreover, from the entire group that was a total of 23 people, only 17 of them had managed to come out of the dungeon.

To say the truth, this was way better considering that the dangers that were inside the dungeon were way higher. So, for them to only lose six people, it was better, even though they were actually elites. The majority of them had not yet reached the Bronze rank, so, the fertility rate was lower as compared to the dangers that were present inside the dungeon.

After Jake appeared, he was informed about everything that had happened inside the dungeon. After he realized to that Henry had saved his group, he felt gratified. Without hesitation, he walked towards the Jeep.

Even though he was surprised by the appearance of the Jeep, he guessed that Henry’s group might have found this Jeep somewhere. Anyway, from how it looked like an armored vehicle, then, it might be related to the military.

After Jake arrived, he knocked on the window of the Jeep. Henry rolled down the windows, and looked at Jake.

"Thank you so much for what you have done for my mutant warrior association. I owe you a favor. In the future, if there is anything that you need, as long as I am capable of assisting you, then, the entire mutant warrior association will not hesitate." Jake stated sincerely.

The group that he had brought over was made up of elites. Of course, the loss of the six people was something that Jake felt bitter in his heart. But, this was the apocalypse, so, they had to get used to having some of their comrades dying.

"Don’t mention it. We are both humans, and we are fighting for domination of the human race. So, it is not a problem for me to help fellow humans." Henry simply waved his hand as he responded.

"Anyway, thank you." Jake said once again. After that, he looked at the interior of the jeep and he was surprised. The interior of the Jeep was actually luxurious as compared to the outward appearance.

His eyes lit up, but only for a moment. In the next moment, he looked at Henry and said, "You should know that with the decent of the apocalypse, these armored vehicles have completely become useless. So, I do suggest that you get out of the car if you want to fight with this group of necromancers better."

Henry wasn’t surprised. Of course, he knew that Jake did not know about the abilities of the Jeep. So, he was only saying this with good intentions. After all, if Henry’s group actually entered into a normal vehicle and tried using it in a battlefield, then, it might actually hinder them. Moreover, it will provide a bigger target for their opponents.

"Thanks for the reminder. But anyway, you don’t have to worry about it. Again, if you are actually planning to stay over to deal with this group of necromancers, then, you will have to stay behind us. We have a plan that we can deal with this group of necromancers and their army." Henry replied.

Even though he was a little confused, Jake decided to follow what Henry was planning. If there was actually a plan that was able to deal a lot of damage on the necromancers, then, he was willing to go with it.

As for the matter of risking, Jake did not even think about it. At the end of the day, by coming here, they had already risked their lives. Moreover, they had families present inside Crystal City. So, they had to risk their lives to ensure that they protected their families and loved ones.

"Okay. I will do as you say. But, if anything goes wrong, then, we will be charging forward." Jake said after a minute of contemplation before finally going back to his group.

Roar!

Henry was attracted by a loud roar. When he looked towards the source of the roar, he realized that the leader of the monsters had suddenly arrived from the dungeon. Moreover, the aura around it had suddenly shot up.

Just as Henry was about to focus and see the stats of the leading monster, another figure appeared. That was none other than the leader of the necromancers. And with the appearance of the cloaked figure, a large number of skeleton warriors also made their appearance.

From this, Henry could tell that this figure that had appeared was the one that was in control of the majority of the skeleton warriors. The number of the skeleton worries that had appeared together with this figure had actually reached several hundreds of thousands.

"It seems that the final battle for the city’s domination is about to begin." Henry stated with squinted eyes as he looked at the group of necromancers and monsters.
