Chapter 122: Upgrading Two Functions of the Jeep

After Henry appeared outside the dungeon, he found that several necromancers had also been teleported outside. Other than that, Jake’s group had already been teleported out, but, there were still some of them that had not yet come out.

Since he had already come out, he decided to take care of the matter of upgrading the Jeep. He had noticed that Adam and the others were not yet out, so, it will be better that by the time that they arrived, he would be done with the preparations for the fight that was about to occur.

To upgrade the Jeep’s attacking system he required five level four mutation crystals. With this, the attack power of the Jeep would be increased to be of the same level as the one at the 5th level of the bronze rank.

When the necromancers saw that Henry was leaving, they did not pay him much attention. To them, since there was still another group of humans that was present inside the dungeon, they would deal with them first.

Additionally, the limitation that the fight were not supposed to occur here had not been lifted. For that reason, they could not fight each other unless they risked elimination.

After leaving, Henry went back to the place that they had left the Jeep, and after getting in, he looked at the mutation crystals that he possessed. Currently, he possessed 23 level 4 Bronze rank mutation crystals, 7 level 3 Bronze rank mutation crystals, three level two bronze rank mutation crystals and finally, 36 level 1 Bronze rank mutation crystals.

Without hesitation, he looked at the system panel that had appeared in front of him, before finally selecting to upgrade the Jeep’s attacking system.

Just like usual, the Jeep was enveloped in a red sphere. And after a while, the red sphere disappeared, however, Henry did not see any changes that had appeared to the outward appearance of the Jeep.

Henry then went ahead and entered the jeep. Just like outside, there were no changes that had appeared inside the Jeep. Instead, Henry finally focused on the attack systems of the Jeep.

From the information that he had received from the system, he had realized that the attack power of the Jeep had suddenly reached the fifth level of the Bronze rank. So, currently, what Henry was waiting for was to test the limits of the Jeep.

Without any hesitation, he immediately decided to upgrade the defensive system of the Jeep as well. Since they were going to be engaged in an intense fight, then he might as well be prepared fully.

Just like the cost of upgrading the attack system, for him to be able to upgrade the defensive system of the Jeep, it required him to spend five level four mutation crystals as well. Of course, all of them were at the Bronze rank.

After he stepped out of the Jeep, he watched it as it was enveloped by a red sphere once again. After about 5 minutes, the sphere suddenly disappeared. The changes had already happened, and, this time, Henry could see the changes that had happened to the outward appearance of the Jeep.

From the looks of it, it seemed like the sides and the metals that were covering the Jeep had become thicker. At the same time, he felt that the material that was used in upgrading the Jeep was actually at a higher level as compared to the previous one.

After reading the system prompt, Henry finally decided that it was time. He was not sure whether Jasmine and the others had already exited the dungeon, but, he decided to go ahead.

At the same time, he was cautious considering that, when they came in, they were not told about the prohibition, not until they had come face to face with a necromancer.

And now, Henry was not sure if they were going to be informed if the prohibition was lifted. So, they had to be prepared. From the fact that the necromancers possessed the information that there was a prohibition before, additionally, knowing that the humans were supposed to be weak, then, Henry was not willing to risk anything.

When he arrived closer to the ruin building, he realized that more necromancers had appeared outside the dungeon. At the same time, he realized that several monsters had also appeared as well.

Moreover, Jasmine, Olivia, and Sarah had already appeared. And, just as he arrived at the scene, both Diana and Adam appeared consecutively. With their appearance, they finally completed the lineup that had entered the dungeon.

Henry was finally relieved. Even though it was true that the dungeon was filled with danger, at least, the group that he had sent inside the dungeon had returned safely. Additionally, from the stats that he could see after focusing, he could see that both of them had improved for at least one level.

As for Jasmine, even though it was true that she was the weakest amongst all, but at least, she had already entered the bronze rank.

"How was it?" Henry asked the moment that everyone entered the Jeep.

"I really hate how that dungeon has been. Not only was I forced to fight against about 13 Bronze rank apocalyptic creatures, but, the disgusting necromancers were also present. It was a good thing that they did not possess the skeleton army. Otherwise, I’m sure that I would have been overwhelmed." Adam replied.

"You have to get used to this. I am pretty sure that this is not the end of the dark race. It seems that there is a prohibition that prevents the stronger ones from descending. But, as we progress in the apocalypse, I’m sure that even stronger necromancers are going to appear." Henry replied.

"Anyway, Jasmine, Sarah and I both received the same opportunity. We were given elemental manipulation. This was an inheritance from a faction that was from the past called Elemental Hall." Olivia stated.

During the time that they had appeared, she asked Sarah and Jasmine about their experience, and it turned out that they had experienced the same thing. Moreover, they had also received the same ability as the one that she had been given.

Henry’s brows rose a little. Even though he did not know about the details of Elemental manipulation, but, from the sound of it, he knew that it might be something good. At the end of the day, he had never found it in the system simply because he did not have enough currency to purchase it.

From this fact, it implied that, for him to be able to get this ability, it was going to cost him a lot.

"What about you? Did you get anything in the dungeon?" Henry asked as he looked at Adam.

"Of course I did. But, it is kind of strange because I did not receive anything tangible. Instead, my body was strengthened and it became stronger. I am not sure about the details of what is going to happen as I continue leveling up, but, I hope that my body can also level up together with the energy in my body." Adam replied as he flexed his muscles from the extra compartment of the Jeep.

Nevertheless, Henry went ahead and received the mutation crystals that have been brought over by the group.

This time, Olivia wasn’t keeping any mutation crystal. At the end of the day, they were currently in the same group. Moreover, currently, the mutation crystals were completely useless to her. So, rather than continuing to keep them to continue accumulating dust, it was better if she gave them to Henry, so that he could strengthen them further.

Of course, they did not know about the existence of the system. So, they thought that perhaps this was an ability that Henry had received somehow. Of course, Olivia knew that something like this was not one that everyone could get.

"Anyway, I cannot understand anything here. But nonetheless, I believe that this is better for us. We don’t have to face a large group of useless skeleton worries that are not going to help us in leveling up." Adam shrugged his shoulder as he replied.

Of course, he did not know that this was happening due to the fact that the necromancers had died. This was the first time that he was seeing the skeleton warriors, unlike Henry and the rest of the group. They had already fought them before.

Of course, it was not just Henry’s group that was surprised by the appearance of the bones. However, the necromancers that had appeared had a change of expression on their faces as they looked at the bones that had appeared.

For them, skeleton warriors had already appeared. But, with the appearance of the bones, they could already tell that their companions had already been killed in the dungeon.

"It seems that we have to eliminate this group of humans as soon as possible. Otherwise, the losses that our dark race is going to encounter is going to be higher." One of the necromancers stated.
