Chapter 118: A Mountainside Cave

After Olivia led the two ladies into the Goblin leader’s hut, the group finally began resting. They had expanded almost all the energy in their body, and they required some time to rest.

As for Olivia, even though she was not tired, at least, she had to be president to ensure the safety of the two ladies. Even though she had not gotten along that much with Jasmine, still, she knew that, since Jasmine had decided to join the territory, then, they were bound to cross paths a lot.

While they were resting, they began chatting with each other about mundane things.

Even though Sarah felt that the majority of the bones in her body had been broken, but, she was also surprised by the incredible recovery speed that she possessed. She believed that, had it been that she possessed a stronger physique, then, perhaps she would have already healed.

"Olivia, when do you think we will be going back home? I really miss my dad and mom." Sarah asked after she had rested for about half an hour.

Olivia remained silent for a moment before replying, "I’m not sure about it just yet. But for now, it is going to be a little troublesome to be able to travel all that distance back to Lockwood City."

"Considering that currently, other races have already begun appearing in our world, then, it is going to be a difficult task if there is always another race present in every city that we will be passing through." Olivia continued.

Sarah pursed her lips when she heard that. That was exactly what she was afraid of. Due to the fact that currently, the crystal city had already been invaded by necromancers that belonged to the dark race, then, it might be true that the other cities had also been invaded.

Additionally, there was no way that she was capable of contacting her father or mother. The network had already been cut off by a mysterious power, thus, she did not know the situation that her family was currently in.

She was scared that, the condition that her parents would be in would be bad by the time that she arrived there. So, she was getting anxious to know if there were any plans that Henry will be organizing for them to leave.

"I know what you are thinking of. But, even if we decide to leave now, there is no guarantee that if we arrive at Lockwood City, we will be able to do anything. We need to build our own strength first, before finally being capable of dominating the other races." Olivia stated.

They knew that currently, it was a battle between races. They did not know how it all began, however, they just found themselves in the battle for domination between the races.

And now, if they wanted to survive, if they wanted the people that they loved to survive and have a good life, then, they had to fight. They had to ensure that they dominated the entire world, making the human race supreme.

Even though they were not sure about the number of races that were present in the world right now, but at least, for now, they had seen four races. The first one was the dark race, the zombie race, the monster race and finally, the human race.

In terms of advantage, the human race was the one that possessed an incredible disadvantage. The dark race came with incredible knowledge about the situation, and had it not been for the anomaly that was Henry, then, it would have not been a problem for them to dominate the entire crystal city.

As for the monster race, they possessed incredible physiques. For that reason, they had an advantage in case they faced humans in a fight.

Finally, even though it was true that the zombie race did not possess that much of an advantage, but still, the unlimited stamina that deposit, added together with the ability to infect other humans and turn them into zombies, was already a big advantage when not considering the numerical advantage that they possessed.

Had It not been for the fact that the necromancers had suddenly showed up and transformed the zombies to skeleton warriors, then, the zombies would be the ones that would be holding fort in the entire crystal city.

"Currently, to be able to get a stable foothold in Crystal City, we will have to deal with the dark race. As long as we manage to deal with them, then, it will not be a problem for us to easily dominate the entire city." Olivia stated after a moment of contemplation.

"The dark race has already helped us in eliminating the zombies. Although they have currently been turned into skeleton warriors, as long as we deal with the ones that are controlling the skeleton warriors, we will be able to deal with the skeleton warriors as well."

"Finally, the monster race. That is not something difficult to deal with at the moment considering that, behind the barrier that is surrounding the territory, I’m pretty sure that we will be able to develop and, it can prevent the monsters from attacking us."

"But nevertheless, this is the apocalypse, and we cannot continue hiding everyday. There is a reward for every person that reaches a certain rank first. We all have to aim for that." Olivia continued with a deep look in her eyes.

The ladies continue to chat a little more, and unknowingly, another two hours went by. Of course, they were also surprised by the fact that, even though 3 hours were already gone by, they were not teleported out of the dungeon.

"I just hope that we were not the ones that was supposed to look for the exit of the dungeon before the 3 hours period elapsed. Otherwise, we might end up getting stuck in this dungeon forever." Jasmine muttered.

"We have to get out of here as soon as possible. Even if it is true that we have been trapped here, we have to look for other ways that we can use to get stronger. That way, we might have a chance of breaking out of here." Olivia stated as she looked outside.

During the time that they had been here, there was not even a single monster that had approached them. It seemed that the goblins had already scared any monster that was in the surrounding area, and after they had left, they did not dare to come back.

Sarah had finally recovered, and, she felt that the energy in her body had also returned almost halfway to its peak condition. She went ahead and cast the healing spell on Jasmine, healing the injuries that she had suffered.

After Jasmine was back on her feet, the group finally decided to depart. Even though they did not know the direction that they were supposed to head to, they simply decided on a random direction, before they headed there.

The direction that they were heading in was towards the mountain area. Even though it might seem unlikely that the exit of the dungeon was not located there, but still, they were here to look for opportunities. And ever since they had arrived, they had not gotten even a single opportunity just yet.

As they moved, they were cautious enough, trying to make sure that they would not get ambushed. At the same time, they also realized that, as the goblins were escaping, they had completely wiped out the tracks of the other monsters if they ever existed.

Due to this, Olivia and the rest of them had become ready for combat. In case any danger appeared, they were ready to face it. Even though Sarah had just used her energy to heal Jasmine, it did not consume a lot.

Additionally, she had realized that, it took her a long time to recover the energy. It seemed that the light element was kind of special and the recovery rate was just slow as compared to the other mages.

After about 20 minutes of trekking, the group finally arrived at the base of a mountain, where there was an entrance of a cave.

At this moment, they felt subtly attracted, and unconsciously, they wanted to enter the cave. Had it been any ordinary person, then, they would have already charged into the cave. At the same time, if the monsters were here, they would have already entered the cave due to the instincts that they followed.

But of course, Olivia’s group was not formed of ordinary people. Even though it was true that Jasmine possessed a profession that was of the weakest grade amongst the three of them, but still, she possessed incredible knowledge.

She was the daughter of the governor, and so, she had seen a lot. She knew that sometimes, even if there was an opportunity in front of them, they had to be cautious at all times.

After a moment of contemplation, Olivia finally decided, "Let’s get in. Let’s see what kind of opportunity lies in. But, always remember to be careful."

Sarah and Jasmine all nodded. They could clearly remember that after they had been teleported into the dungeon, they had actually appeared in the middle of the goblins’ camp. So, since they could not see inside of the cave, due to the darkness, they all decided to be cautious.

They steadily approach to the entrance, and after they arrived there, they did not enter. Instead, they waited for a while, and after noticing that there was not even a reaction that came from the cave, they finally took a step inside.

The moment the foot of the leading person landed onto the ground inside the cave, suddenly, the entire cave lit up. At the same time, the three were completely astonished by what they saw.
