Chapter 116: Ferocious Dogs, Miniaturization

The moment that the arrow was shot out of the bow, it cut through the air as it approached the three necromancers at an incredible speed. At the same time, the arrow that was green in color suddenly split into three, and each arrow headed towards its own target.

This sudden attack had caught the three necromancers off-guard. So, they only had time to raise a dark barrier, before the arrows landed.

Since they were not given that much time to prepare, the barriers that they had solidified in front of them were so weak that, the moment that the arrows touched them, they pierced through them as if they were pieces of paper.

Diana’s accuracy was top notch. The arrows managed to land accurately in the middle of the foreheads of the necromancers. And with that, the movements of the three suddenly froze, before they finally dropped onto the ground as the dark barrier that had already been shattered dissipated as well.

It was also at this moment that Henry and Diana paid attention to the monsters that were on the ground. It seemed that they were just about to move, only to fall onto the ground once again after they had killed the three necromancers.

Henry finally released a sigh of relief. At least, he could let go of holding back. He was completely tired of trying to fight with a weak opponent, while pretending to be weaker than the opponent.

After Diana killed the three necromancers, she went ahead and picked up all the mutation crystals that were present. But, she was surprised when she found out that, in the bodies of the monsters, some of the mutation crystals had already melted.

It seemed that during the procedure that the necromancers used to summon the undead, the mutation crystals in the bodies that they had captured would be used as the source of energy for the ritual.

"Congratulations to the human race. You have been selected to receive the opportunity according to your performance ever since you entered the dungeon."

At this moment, the same voice that had echoed in the air previously was heard once again. When he heard the words, Henry could not help himself but nearly roll his eyes.

What selected? They had actually been forced into a situation that they were supposed to fight against the other races in order to obtain the opportunity. But now, the owner of the voice was actually so shameless as to claim that they had been selected, rather than they had obtained the opportunity by using their own strength.

Anyway, Henry did not care much about it. All that he cared about now was that, what kind of opportunity were they going to be given? That was exactly what he was looking forward to.

At this moment, the building in front of them began emitting a golden light. Then, a few balls of light suddenly separated from the bigger one that was surrounding the entire ruin, before it began approaching every human that was present.

All of this happened at an incredible speed that nobody was able to react at all. By the time that they realized that something had happened, the small golden lights had already sank into their bodies.

This time, it was not only Henry who received the golden light, but even Diana received her own share. As for the group that belonged to the mutant warrior association, they had also received their own, it was just that, the balls of light that they had received were both smaller as compared to the one that Henry and Diana received.

Adam’s muscular frame moved from side to side as he swung the battle axe in his hand, dealing with the monsters that were surrounding him.

Of course, these monsters were the same ones as the ones that had come from outside. It was just that, after Adam had been teleported here, he appeared in front of a ruined temple.

He did not appear here alone, instead, he appeared together with five monsters. And, each and every one of them was already at the Bronze rank. The moment that they arrived, as usual, they did not attack each other, until they received a prompt from the system that, they could actually attack each other inside the dungeon.

But in the end, they were not given an opportunity to fight against each other, because, not only was there nothing to fight for, but, there was yet another group that had come over to attack them.

This group of monsters were like dogs that possessed dark skin, big mouths that were filled with rows of sharp teeth like that of a saw, and they had muscular bodies unlike any usual dog that Adam had ever seen in his life.

The dogs that had appeared were actually about 1m tall. Just from the muscles that the hind legs possessed, Adam could already tell that these dogs possessed incredible strength.

The moment that this group of ferocious dogs appeared, they did not bark, and neither did they do anything else other than attacking at sight.

Of course, Adam was not willing to die here. Additionally, he had already looked into the information of the dogs in front of him, and realized that, all of them, all 14 of them were actually at the Bronze rank.

Knowing that they were currently at a disadvantage, Adam began retreating, trying to look for a position that he would not be overwhelmed by the large number of the dogs.

He managed to find a place that was between several trees that were arranged in rows as if they had been planted, and decided to make that place his battlefield.

But, it seemed that he had actually underestimated the capabilities of the dogs. The moment that they began attacking him, the trees that he was considering to use as a barrier that was going to prevent the dogs from overwhelming him from all sides, were actually brought down by the dogs.

Even though it was true that the space in between the trees was not that big considering that the tree themselves had already grown to a diameter of about 2m, it seemed that the ferocious dogs were intending to use the small space that was less than 1m to reach him.

Of course, at first, Adam thought that the dogs would actually not be capable of passing through that small space. However, what happened next surprised him.

As he was busy dealing with the dogs that had come through the same way that he had used to enter in between the rows of trees, the other dogs that were coming from the side actually managed to squeeze themselves, reducing their sizes and simply passed through that space as if it was nothing.

At that time, Adam had already managed to deal with a single dog. But now, he was actually being attacked by a group of five dogs at the same time. It was as if six dogs had decided to attack him, while the remaining ones attacked the other monsters.

In the end, it seemed that by bringing himself in between the trees, he had not actually stopped the dogs from attacking him, but instead, he had actually prevented himself from escaping.

Although it was true that he was currently at a disadvantage, Adam was not willing to give up. Additionally, due to the fact that the monsters that he was currently facing were only at the second level of the Bronze rank, then, he believed that it would not be a problem for him to deal with them.

Bang! Boom!

Using his battle axe, he managed to hit one of the dogs, making it land heavily onto the tree trunk, making the tree shake rapidly, with some leaves falling onto the ground.

But, even though he managed to hit the dog, the wound that had already been cut on the skin of the dog began healing at a rapid pace. This surprised Adam, making him lose focus a little.

It was also during this moment that one of the ferocious dogs used this chance to attack. Taking this chance, it jumped towards Adam’s arm that was holding the battle axe. It seemed that it had already realized that this battle axe was dangerous to them.

The moment that Adam came back to his senses, it was too late. The dog was not only fast, but, even the strength that it possessed was also incredible.

The sharp rows of teeth clamped onto Adams forearm, biting with great intensity. It was also at this moment that Adam suddenly realized that, the teeth that was possessed by the dogs was as hard as iron.

Moreover the biting strength of the dog was incredible that, even though the armor managed to block the teeth from sinking into his flesh, however, the pain of being pressed together was still there.

At this moment, a blood red aura suddenly begun erupting out of Adam’s body. At the same time, his eyes began turning blood red.

Having already been provoked, Adam no longer hesitated this time. Using the incredible strength that he possessed, he immediately swung his arm that had been bitten by the dog that was not willing to let go, towards the direction of another dog that was approaching him.

Bang!

The two bodies of the dogs collided with each other heavily, with the dog that was charging towards Adam suddenly being flung away. As it was being blown backwards, it knocked over the other two dogs that were behind it.

Due to the fact that they were currently between the rows of trees, it could only allow a single dog to come over and fight against Adam, rather than all of them at once. Additionally, it seemed that they did not have the capabilities of fighting while in their miniature forms.
