Chapter 115: A Small Plot

"Keke! You guys are not expecting to take advantage of the fight between us and the monster race, right? If that is the case, then, I have no choice but to disappoint you because I’m going to deal with you right now." At this moment, a necromancer looked at Henry’s group, and began steadily approaching them as he spoke in an irritating voice.

After a little focus, Henry was able to see the data about the necromancer in front of him. He was a little surprised when he noticed that, this necromancer was actually possessing another extra skill, unlike the previous necromancers that he had seen possessing only two skills.

Henry was not worried fighting against the necromancer. Even though he had not yet reached the third level of the Bronze rank in his warlock profession, he was not worried when facing a level 4 necromancer.

Not only did the necromancer not have that much of a combat capability, but also, Henry possessed a unique profession. And more than that, there was Diana as well who possessed incredible combat power. She was already at the second level of the Bronze rank, so, even if she was told to deal with the necromancer, then, Henry believe that it would not be a problem.

’Try and don’t finish him off as soon as we start at the fight. We have to play like we are at a disadvantage to ensure that we don’t attract even more opponents on our side unless the fight between the monsters and the necromancers is decided.’ Henry informed Diana in his mind using the telepathic connection that they shared.

’Yes master.’ Diana replied the same way. Since Henry had talked to her in such a way, that implied that, he was not willing to reveal the information to the necromancer.

Not willing to wait for the response of the humans in front of it, the necromancer attacked. Using the scythe that it was welding, it swung it towards one of the humans that was close to it.

Although the human was already at the Bronze rank, nonetheless, he was only at the first level. So, facing the attack of the necromancer, even though he was not one with great combat capabilities, the human was completely helpless.

He looked at the scythe that was approaching him, he felt despair in his heart. He had never expected that, by coming here, there would be not only opportunity, but, this would also be his burial ground.

Clank!

Before the scythe could land on him, a sword suddenly appeared and blocked it. During the moment that the necromancer was attacking, Henry had moved at a fast speed and approached, blocking the attack.

He was not willing to let a human who had already managed to reach the Bronze rank to die here. After all, it was a fight between races. And, even if this person was not willing to join his territory in the future, at least, he would be capable of fighting for the human race.

So, even though he was planning on playing low, that did not imply that he was willing to sacrifice the lives of several humans here.

Since he was planning to play that he was a pig, after blocking the attack, he retreated. At the same time, he looked at the necromancer in front of him with a weary expression on his face.

Even though the necromancer was irritated by the fact that his attack had been blocked, however, looking at the fact that Henry had retreated after blocking the attack, then, the confidence that it possessed was boosted.

Of course, it could tell that Henry was only at the second level. As for the profession that he possessed, he could only guess that he possessed a warrior profession because he was using a sword.

"Tch! I guess I will deal with you first." The necromancer snorted before rushing towards Henry. But, just after he had taken a few steps, he was forced to raise the scythe, and block the attack that had been launched towards him.

Clank!

Although it was just an elemental arrow, Diana had managed to condense it in such a way that, by colliding with metals, it was able to make a clanking sound.

The necromancer frowned as he looked at Diana. ’As expected, if I’m not careful, then, I might as well be killed here. It seems that this group of humans is not that simple.’ The necromancer thought to himself.

He had gotten a heads up about it. But, it was completely different when facing them head on. But nonetheless, just judging from the attack that had landed on his scythe, he believed that he was going to be capable of dealing with them.

All that he had to do was to take care of the one that was good at close combat, before finally dealing with the one that was good at long range attacks. It was not a problem for him to block the attacks from a long-range considering that he possessed a defensive skill.

"Humph! It seems that you have some abilities. But nonetheless, I’m going to deal with all of you right now. After that, our dark race can actually rise to the top. Perhaps, we can be able to bring in even more of our people." The necromancer snorted as it looked at Henry with disdain in its eyes.

Immediately after that, it attacked once again. And just as planned before, Henry tried as hard as possible to hold back. But, since this was not something that he was used to, from time to time, he nearly unleashed much power, almost killing the necromancer on the spot.

On the other side, even though it was true that the monsters possessed a number advantage, but, in terms of power levels, they were weak as compared to the necromancers. So, even though they were facing off against three necromancers, they had actually suffered great losses.

The majority of the monsters that had reached the Bronze rank were only at the first or second level. As for the necromancers, all of them were actually at the fourth level of the Bronze rank.

Even though it was true that the necromancers did not possess great combat capabilities, still, they had an advantage that, they were a level higher than the monsters. And more than that, just a single level was enough to terrify the creatures of a lower level.

So, due to the fact that the necromancers possessed higher intelligence, as well as great defensive capabilities, they were able to deal with the monsters swiftly.

As for the group that belonged to Jake’s mutant warrior association, since they were completely useless in this fight, they could only stand on the side. At the same time, they were getting anxious as they looked at the fight between Henry and the necromancer.

Even though it seemed that Henry was able to hold on together with Diana, nonetheless, they were not actually capable of dealing with the necromancer. Even though they themselves had not suffered great injuries on their bodies, but still, they were not able to do the same to the necromancer.

Looking at the other side, they were sure that after the other necromancers dealt with the group of monsters, then, they would definitely come over and deal with Henry.

But, no matter how anxious they got, they knew that there was nothing that they could do in this situation. At the end of the day, the strongest amongst them was only at the first level of the bronze rank.

Henry ensured to maintain the fight between him and the necromancer at a standstill. He did not give the necromancer any advantage, but at the same time, he never took any advantage of the necromancer.

However, as the fight progressed, he realized how difficult it was to hold himself back. After all, he believed that, with all the openings that the necromancer had been leaving all this while, then, he would have already dealt with it. However, just because he wanted to wait, he had no choice but to hold back.

Of course, he was not the only person. Even Diana was getting frustrated at the fact that the other necromancers were not dealing with the monster race as soon as possible. They were actually so slow.

Finally, after about 30 minutes of intense fight, Henry and Diana finally noticed that the other necromancers had dealt with the final monster present in the area. With that, all the monsters had been cleared out.

It was also during this time that Henry noticed that, the other necromancers were not coming over. Instead, it seemed that they were aiming to do something.

And when he realized what it was that they were planning, his expression became frosty. Without hesitation, he stopped holding himself back, and seized the chance that the necromancer was blocking the attack from Diana, and made an attack.

Mountain splinter was activated, and as he slashed forward, the necromancer solidified a dark barrier around itself just like usual. But, its expression froze the moment that he realized that, the sword had actually managed to cut through the barrier, and slice it in half.

With huge amounts of purple blood spilling onto the ground, the necromancers body was split into two, as it fell onto the ground.

Diana on the other hand had already stopped attacking this necromancer. Instead, she had focused on the other three, and pulling the arrow in her bow, she attacked.

This sudden change of events had completely dumbfounded the other necromancers. They were not the only ones as even the humans that belonged to Jake’s group were completely stunned.
