Chapter 114: Only a Single Race Will Receive the Opportunity
Back to Henry...
After the two of them arrive at the valley, Henry and Diana both became cautious. After all, from both sides, they could see that several figures had appeared.
Steadily, Henry and Diana began approaching the ruin building that was in the middle of the valley. Even though he was not sure about what was in there, but, he presumed that there was an opportunity that would be of much help to him.
The valley Itself was not that big. So, it only took them about 10 minutes to arrive in front of the building. And at the same, Henry was finally able to see the appearance of the figures that had been a distance away.
The two of them were the ones that had arrived here first. But the moment that the other figures saw them there, they rushed over. They were not willing to miss any opportunity.
Out of the 13 necromancers, there were 4 of them here. Additionally, they did not possess the skeleton army that they had been together with previously. Henry was not sure if they had deliberately left them behind, or, there was a restriction that prevented them from bringing them over.
All of them gathered at the entrance of the building. Currently, the entrance was tightly closed by a huge metallic door. Just from the outward appearance, it was obvious that the metallic door was thick, and, nobody was sure if they could actually break it down.
One of the necromancers around looked at Diana in surprise. Then, he looked at Henry and asked, "How are you capable of bringing here your summoned creature? There should have been a prohibition that should have stopped you from bringing her over."
Henry looked at the commander with surprise in his eyes. He had never expected that the reason as to why the necromancers had not brought their undead army was simply because they had been prohibited from doing so.
At the same time, just from the words that the necromancer was saying, Henry came to a realization that they had to be a problem here. The resentful gaze that he was receiving from the necromancers was enough to tell him that they were completely not happy about this.
Other than the four necromancers, there were 9 men that had come over from Jake’s group. Additionally, there was also a group of monsters. In fact, they were the ones that possessed a numerical advantage at this moment.
There were about 30 of them. And from the aura that they were giving out, it was obvious that at least half of them had already reached the bronze rank.
Henry did not respond to the question that had been asked by the necromancer. He did not think that he had the obligation to answer it. Additionally, he could only guess the reason why Diana had been allowed to come over was simply because he possessed an SSS grade summoner profession.
When the necromancer realized that Henry did not have the intention of giving it the reply that it wanted, then, it got irritated that it nearly wanted to attack him. But, it still managed to hold back.
Currently, in terms of numerical advantage, the necromancers were the ones that possess a disadvantage. Additionally, if they decided to fight against the humans, then, the monsters were going to get the advantage.
During this trip, the necromancers were not willing to allow any other race to gain the opportunity that was present in the dungeon. So, they were not willing to fight, only to end up at a disadvantage, and lose the opportunity.
For dealing with a person like Henry, that was something that they could do after they had gotten out of the dungeon with the opportunity.
Of course, Henry also knew about this. So, he did not try causing trouble. Instead, he stood beside the group of humans that was over here. Currently, it was a battle between races, so at least for now, they could set differences aside and fight together.
Another thing, it was not like Henry had any grudge against these people. So, there was no problem in teaming up. Even though Henry believed that he had the capabilities of dealing with the necromancers, he was not sure about the situation inside the building.
Ziiiii!
Just then, they heard a buzzing sound in the air. At the same time, energy began leaking out of the building in front of them. Then with a bang, the entrance of the building was finally opened.
It was also during this time that almost everyone’s eyes lit up with greed. The monsters were the first ones to rush towards the entrance. They were intending to seek the opportunity first.
Well, although it seemed that the intelligence and ability of these monsters was quite low, however, they still followed their instincts. And since that was the case, that implied that, inside this building, there had to be something that was of great assistance to them. Otherwise, Henry believed that they would not have been attracted here.
"Fools!" A necromancer stood on the side, and looked at the monsters that were rushing towards the entrance with a disdained gaze.
Even though Henry did not understand the reason as to why the necromancer thought of the monsters as fools, he understood one thing. The necromancers possessed a lot of information about the apocalypse. So, since they were not rushing forward, then, there had to be something that had to be done before being capable of entering the building.
For the humans that belonged to Jake’s group, even though there was greed in their eyes, they did not rush forward. Currently, they knew that Henry was the leader of another territory. And since that was the case, they had decided to take him as a leader during the time that they were here without Jake.
Since he had no rushed forward, even though they felt that he was wasting time, they continued waiting. They had also noticed that the necromancers were not moving.
Bang! Boom!
The moment that the monsters arrived in front of the entrance, and were about to enter, an invisible force field suddenly appeared. In the next moment, all the monsters were flung backwards.
At the same time, some of them were actually killed. Of course, this only applied to those that were weak. As for those that had already reached the Bronze rank, they only suffered minor injuries.
But nonetheless, the monsters finally came back to their senses. They stopped following their instincts, and looked wearily at the entrance.
It was also during this time that a masculine deep voice reached their ears.
"Congratulations on reaching this place. You have worked hard to be able to reach this place so, you all deserve a reward. But, the reward can only be given to a single race. So, you have to make a decision among yourselves on which race is going to receive the reward from this place."
Henry and the others were left speechless. At the same time, Henry couldn’t help but wonder if things were being done deliberately. After all, the last time that they entered the zone, they had not been informed that fights were prohibited. Had it not been for the appearance of the necromancer, then, Henry was sure that his group would not have known about the restrictions.
It was as If the one that had said the restrictions was waiting, until they realized that someone had broken the restriction, punished them, then, they would talk about the restriction that was present. It was as if they were waiting for someone to punish and use as an example.
With those words said, it was not just Henry and his group that were surprised. Just looking at the stiff expressions that had appeared on the ugly faces of the necromancers who were currently not putting on their hoodies, Henry understood something.
It seemed that even the necromancers themselves had not been expecting something like this. It seemed that, even though they knew that there was a prohibition, however, they did not know what kind of prohibition was present.
But, all of this lasted only for a moment. Without hesitation, the necromancers suddenly began attacking the group of monsters that was around them. During the time that the monsters had been flung away from the entrance, some of them had landed close to the necromancers.
Deciding to take advantage, the necromancers decided to take the initiative. By holding the initiative, they believed that, they would possess the greatest probability of winning.
Henry and his group on the other hand did not attack. Instead, they decided to watch from the sidelines. After the two sides finished fighting, that was the time that they would fight as well.
Taking this opportunity, Henry looked at the group that had come over. He realized that, out of the nine that were present, only three of them had managed to reach the Bronze rank.
Additionally, he realized that, all the three had only reached the bronze rank after they had entered the dungeon. It seemed that this dungeon was full of opportunities, but still, it was a dangerous place. After all, currently, it was putting them against each other before giving them any opportunity.
"Keke! You guys are not expecting to take advantage of the fight between us and the monster race, right? If that is the case, then, I have no choice but to disappoint you because I’m going to deal with you right now." At this moment, a necromancer looked at Henry’s group, and began steadily approaching them as he spoke in an irritating voice.
