Chapter 112: Fatally Wounded

Booom!

A huge explosion occurred once again. A blinding light spread through the surroundings, blocking everyone from seeing what was happening inside the light.

Sarah believed that with the explosion going off very close to the hobgoblin, then, even if it was not capable of killing it, at least, she was sure that it was going to deal a lot of damage on the goblin.

But, just as she was about to relax a little, she suddenly saw a figure that was approaching her at an incredible speed. Her body tensed up as she sensed danger approaching her.

Without hesitation, she reacted as she began retreating a few steps backwards, while at the same time, she launched a light sword of judgment.

Bang!

The gigantic sword collided with the mace that was being wielded by the goblin, before it was crashed into pieces. Even though the momentum of the goblin was reduced, but still, the intensity and power of the attack that it had launched towards Sarah was still fatal.

Using the last bit of energy in her body, Sarah decided to use light blast. A moment later, light surged from her body, and swept towards the goblin that was just a few meters away from her.

Although the light blast managed to do some damage to the goblin, however, it did not prevent it from attacking.

Bam!

The huge bone mace that was being wielded by the goblin landed heavily on Sarah’s raised staff, sending her flying. At the same time, blood began leaking from her nose and mouth.

Incredible pain surged through Sarah’s body, as she felt like she was going to faint in the next moment. This amount of pain, was not something that she had ever experienced before.

Even though she felt that her consciousness was about to slip away, she forced herself using her sheer willpower to hold on. She knew that the moment that she passed out, then, she would be completely helpless.

Currently, they were in a battlefield, and, even if she passed out, and she was currently at the bronze rank, then, even a goblin that was at Rank O could easily deal with her considering that she was a mage, and she did not have any resistance.

Even though she was not able to see clearly, she could see a figure of a goblin that was approaching her steadily. It’s body was filled with several wounds, it was as if it had been burnt by melted plastic.

The angry expression on its face was clear for her to see. At this moment, Sarah knew that she had completely provoked the goblin.

At the same time, she felt that, had it not been for the fact that she was actually a light mage, and, the light was able to hail several injuries that she had suffered, then, she would have already been a goner.

At the end of the day, even though she managed to reduce the intensity of the attack, she was not strong physically. She was a mage after all. So, physical attacks were her weakness.

Sarah wanted to attack once again, to ensure that she did not die, considering that, she was not willing to, but, there was just no way that she could do that.

At this moment, she had already spent the energy that was in her body completely, and there was not even a single trace of it remaining. Moreover, the one that was being regenerated was being used to heal her body. So, there was none to spare that she could use to attack.

As she looked at the goblin as it raised its mace, she fell into despair. She was not expecting that Olivia would come and save her, considering that, she was currently engaged with the other goblins.

As for Jasmine, she was completely helpless. After all, not only had she not reached the Bronze rank, but also, there was the fact that she was a mage just like her. If a single attack landed on her, then, there was no doubt that she might actually die on the spot.

Additionally, she was completely lucky. If the attack of the goblin had landed directly on her body, then, there would be no doubt that she would have already been killed.

Luckily, she managed to block the attack using the staff. Due to the fact that the staff was a three-star equipment, it was able to block the majority of the power of the attack that had been launched towards her.

Nonetheless, she was blown backwards by the immense force that was within the attack. And, since she landed heavily on the ground, her body was injured, and several of her bones had already been broken.

During the time that the goblin leader was charging towards Sarah, Jasmine had utilized this chance to approach the goblin that had been immobilized on the ground. Without hesitation, she utilized the energy in her body, to summon a lightning bolt that landed directly in between the goblin’s brows.

Of course, she made sure that her attack possessed a lot of energy, considering that, the creature that she was facing was not in the same rank as her.

Bam!

Due to the blast of light that had been launched by Sarah, the goblin’s life had already diminished. So, the moment that the attack landed on it, it died on the spot.

With the death of the goblin, energy surged into her body. Not only did the energy that she had spent previously recover at an incredible speed, but also, she felt that it had become stronger.

Without hesitation, she didn’t even try understanding what level of her power had increased, instead, she immediately condensed and attack, and launched it towards the goblin that was about to swing its mace towards Sarah who was on the ground.

Crackle! ZAAP!

A spear formed from lightning cut through the air as it headed towards the goblin. Jasmine had insured to spend at least half of the energy in her body to launch that skill, so, the destructive power of the spear was not to be underestimated.

Additionally, since she was a lightning mage, even though she was not an SS grade profession holder, but just from the fact that lightning possessed incredible destructive capabilities, it immediately alarmed the goblin.

Changing the trajectory of the mace that was just about to land on Sarah, it immediately tried attacking the spear that was heading its way.

Boom!

The moment that the two attacks collided, a huge explosion occurred. Even though the goblin managed to block the attack, but at least, it had turned its attention towards Jasmine.

As for Sarah, due to the explosion, she was once again blown away. Had it not been for the fact that she was just encountering the shockwave and not the direct attack, then, she would have already died.

After Jasmine noticed that the goblin had already shifted its attention towards her, she did not hesitate to attack once again. This time, just like before, she used the remaining half of the energy that was in her body to attack.

But just before the energy could be condensed into a lightning attack, she suddenly heard Olivia shouting at her.

"Block its attack!" Olivia shouted urgently.

Even though Jasmine was confused, she still decided to trust Olivia. So, instead of attacking, she utilized the lightning energy, and condensed it into a lightning barrier.

And the moment that she did that, she suddenly realized that, the goblin was charging towards her at a speed that she could not react. Currently, she was only at the first level of the Bronze rank. So, it was understandable that she could not actually match the speed that the goblin possessed.

Nonetheless, since she had decided to block, then, she spent all the energy that was in her body, to condense the barrier.

Olivia had already seen what was happening, and was frustrated. Additionally, she had realized that, the distance between her and Sarah was so big that, even if she wanted to teleport there, the maximum range of the teleportation did not allow her to do so.

So, as she dealt with the two remaining goblins, she began pushing towards the battlefield that the goblin leader was in. And, by the time that she arrived there, Jasmine had already acted, and enabled Sarah to survive a little more.

Additionally, during the time that she realized that Jasmine was about to attack again, she shouted at her to block the attack. She knew that by the time that the attack that Jasmine was preparing to use landed on the goblin, it would have already arrived in front of her.

Luckily, Jasmine was able to react on time and did as she was instructed. As for Olivia, she had already arrived within the range that she was aiming for. So without hesitation, she decided to utilize the teleportation skill for the first time.

She teleported directly behind the goblin, then, using the Frost Dominator Sword that she possessed, she pierced towards the back of the neck of the goblin. As for the two goblins that were trying to prevent her from reaching the battlefield, they were dumbfounded when the target suddenly disappeared from their vision.

The goblin also realized that danger had suddenly appeared behind it. So, it wanted to turn around, and deal with it, but, it was late. After all, everything had just happened abruptly, and it did not given a chance to react at all.

Knowing that there was no way that it was going to be able to prevent the attack, it decided to continue with the attack that it was launching towards Jasmine.

Puchi!

Bang! Booom!

The two attacks finally landed. And the moment that they did so, it was as if time had suddenly stopped. The air even froze for a moment, before an explosion suddenly echoed into the air.
