Chapter 110: Goblins Camp

Bang! Boom!

An explosion of a high magnitude suddenly erupted, as the cocoon that was trying to repair itself suddenly froze. At the same time, all the movements that were being made by the vein tree suddenly stopped as well.

Then suddenly, the cocoon that was around the tree began retreating. The next moment, as if they were falling inside a black hole, everything around the tree began being sucked in.

Creee!

The tree shrieked profusely, but no matter how much it tried to struggle, since the arrow had shot directly in the middle of the tree, where the tree’s core was located, there was no chance of resisting at all.

Knowing that it was going to end here, the tree decided to make a last attempt. Even though it had not attacked Henry and Diana previously, this time, it decided to attack.

Three veins entangled to form one, then, sharp spikes suddenly shot out of them. And in the next moment, it shot towards Henry.

During the time of the attack, Henry had already begun retreating. Of course, he knew about the skill, as he had already been informed by Diana about it.

But as he retreated, he had never expected that, the vein tree was going to make any last attempt on him. But nonetheless, he reacted almost instantaneously.

Using his sword, he slashed forward, towards the spiky vein that was heading his way.

Clank! Bang!

The moment that the two of them collided, it was as if a metal had collided with another one. Even Henry himself was surprised the moment that he realized that, the spikes on the veins were actually possessing metallic features.

But nonetheless, even though he managed to block the attack, the power that was possessed within the spiky vein managed to push him back, as his hand became numb.

As for the vein tree, it had already been overwhelmed by the attack. Had it been attacked like this when it was at its peak, then, this attack would not have worked on it. But, it was completely different now.

Not only had it been caught off guard, but also, it had already expended a lot of energy trying to deal with the attacks that were being launched towards it by Henry.

Creee!

With a last shriek, the gigantic tree that was currently over 10 m tall was suddenly reduced into a small crystal bead. This bead was of course the mutation crystal.

As for the remaining parts of the tree, all of them had been reduced into dust by the skill that had been launched by Diana.

Looking at the devastated battlefield, Henry could not help but get amazed by how wonderful Diana’s skill was. It was actually capable of reducing all the gigantic trees and veins and branches that have been filling that place, into dust that dissipated into the air.

After picking up the mutation crystal, the two of them left the area. And the more they moved, the more they encountered the vein trees. Additionally, they had not encountered even a single infant after they arrived in this area.

But nonetheless, since they already knew about the witness of the vein trees, it did not take them a lot of time to deal with them. And during this moment, Diana also managed to help Henry in leveling up the summoner profession to the second level of the Bronze rank.

And after about 3 hours, which was completely against the supposed 3 hours that they had been given, Henry and Diana finally arrived at the edge of the forest. What appeared in front of them was a valley, that was completely bare of any vegetation.

There was a complete contrast when comparing to the lush vegetation that was behind them, and the background that was ahead of them.

More than that, in the middle of the valley, the two of them could see that, there was yet another building. Just like the one that they had used to get into this dungeon, this building was also so old that it had become a ruin.

But, what really caught Henry’s attention the most was the fact that, currently, from both directions, he could see that, there were figures that were approaching.

But of course, they were far away that he could not recognize who they were. However, Henry realized that, all of them were being led here. It seemed that, the opportunity that they were supposed to be looking for was supposed to be in that building in the middle of the valley.

Henry wondered what was there. He looked around, and confirmed that, there wasn’t any creature that was around them. If there was any, then, Henry would have attacked, trying to level up. He felt that, he was not that far away from reaching the third level in the warlock profession.

Had he been dealing with creatures that were of the same level as him, then, he would have required to kill several of them, in order to level up. But now, he had been dealing with creatures that were two levels above him, giving him the highest increase in energy, that allowed him to move up the ladder easily.

Without hesitation, Henry and Diana began approaching the building. Of course, the two of them made sure to be cautious, because they did not know what they were going to encounter next.

Olivia, Jasmine, and Sarah had all appeared in a single place. Well, they will be said to be lucky to be able to appear in a single place all together.

Just like they had been instructed before, they all took out the walkie-talkies, and tried contacting Henry, Adam, and Diana. But, they realized that, they could not reach any of them.

This made them frown. In the next moment, Olivia tried contacting the two ladies that were around him, and realized that, there was a link between the two of them.

"It seems that Henry and the others are out of range of the communication range of the walkie-talkies." Olivia stated with a frown on her face.

"Well, this is kind of unexpected." Sarah said as she looked around. Currently, they were in a mountainous area, and, they were in the middle of goblins.

Additionally, it seemed that, they had just appeared in the middle of a goblins’ camp. There were several huts in the area, and all of them were made from tree branches and leaves.

They were all of different sizes, but, there was one of them that was the biggest amongst all. Of course, if one had played several games, it would not be that difficult to realize that, that hut belonged to the leader of the goblins.

Hearing Sarah’s words, Olivia looked up, and realized that, there was a huge number of goblins around them. Additionally, all of them were busy eating. One could see that, they were holding bones, gnawing on them.

"How ugly of them." Jasmine muttered. Of course, looking at the ugly appearance of the goblins, she didn’t feel comfortable staying here anymore. And had it not been for the fact that they were currently in the middle, then, she would have tried to leave here as soon as possible.

"Keee!"

One of the goblins screamed, as it looked at them fiercely. And the moment that this goblin reacted, all the other goblins that had frozen while looking at them also reacted.

Some of them began throwing the bones that they were holding in their hands towards Olivia’s group, while others ran back into their huts to take out weapons.

Olivia’s group reacted. Jasmine immediately erected a shield that was formed from lightning. This was a skill that she had been given by Henry, to help her in defending herself.

The shield managed to block most of the bones that have been thrown towards them. Sarah on the other hand waved the staff in her hands towards the goblins.

A light wave suddenly erupted, and begin spreading towards the surroundings. All the goblins that were touched by the light suddenly fell onto the ground, while screaming in agony. And after a while, they would calm down, as their lives ended.

Olivia mobilized the energy in her body, and activated her skill, hail. In the next moment, a rain of ice stones suddenly fell from the sky, falling upon the goblins that were rushing towards them with bone maces, swords, daggers and other weapons.

The hail that was formed continuously rained down on the goblins, and at the same time, the cold energy that was present within the hail invaded the bodies of the goblins, freezing them on the spot.

Of course, there were many of them that were crushed onto the ground by the hailstones.

And of course, Jasmine did not just defend. From time to time, she would use her lightning element, to attack.

As they continuously attacked, they also began retreating. After all, currently, they were in the middle of the goblins’ camp. So, that implied that, the goblins were coming from both directions. In order to avoid getting into a disadvantaged, they chose a single direction, and began retreating in that direction.

The number of goblins that was present within this camp was numbered in thousands. Even though it was true that each goblin did not possess that incredible combat power, but, the majority of them had already reached the fifth level of rank O.

Although Olivia and the others possessed armors on their bodies, the armors could not protect them when they were attacked on their heads.

As they retreated, they suddenly realized that, the goblins were no longer attacking them. Instead, they simply stood at the side, moving with them. As they retreated, the goblins also followed along.

Noticing that there was something wrong, Olivia and the others looked around. And finally, they realized that, from the center of the goblins’ camp, there was a group of muscular goblins that were heading their way.
