Chapter 104: Domination Star

"We are going to make some changes on what is going to happen."

Everyone was surprised by Henry’s words. Henry went ahead and began telling everyone what was happening. Of course, he only talked to Olivia and the others.

"There is something strange with this mist. Without the protection of the energy in our bodies, it is penetrating through the skin, and entering further. Those children don’t have any energy around them, so, a lot of the mist has already seeped into their bodies."

When they heard that, it was then that Olivia and the others began making observations. They realized that what Henry had said was actually true.

Even though it was true that after the mist reached a certain altitude, it became invisible, but, they could still feel it. Additionally, they felt that, there was an invisible barrier that had been formed around their skin.

As for the children, they felt that the mist was actually penetrating into their bodies. Even though they did not know the reason as to why it was doing so, since this was the apocalypse, they had to be prepared for the worst.

"Are you going to leave them now? But they are just children." Jasmine said as she looked at Henry with a pleading gaze. And of course, even though she could allow the adults to fend for themselves, it was completely different for the children.

"Who said I’m going to do that? I have a different proposition. They have to look for a way to become mutant warriors or get the energy around them." Henry replied.

His response surprised everyone else. After all they did not believe that Henry would send children to go and kill apocalyptic creatures. And as a matter of fact, there were children that were not even a year old currently amongst the group.

Not giving them a chance to ask, Henry continued with the plan that he had already thought of.

"We’ll have to help the children to at least get the energy to protect them. Currently, we can only hope that by taking the non-combat professions, there will be energy that will be protecting them." Henry suggested.

Everyone’s eyes suddenly lit up. After all, they believed that this could be the only solution. At least, they only had to deal with a single apocalyptic creature before they awakened and had a chance of choosing a profession.

Jasmine and Maxwell on the other hand sighed a sigh of relief. Amongst all the people present, they were the only ones that cared about the children the most. After all, Jasmine’s younger sister was also just a child.

After that, Henry decided that everyone should settle down. They were going to deal with the matter after they had looked into what was happening in the western side of the city.

As for the governor, since he was Jasmine’s father, he was allowed into the territory. But still, he was told that, he had to make sure that he became a mutant warrior as soon as possible, otherwise, the benefits that he would be receiving world be lower.

As for Jasmine and the new recruits, Henry went ahead and gave them the armors, and several skills that matched their professions. Thankfully, during the time that everything was cheap in the system store, he had managed to purchase a lot. This included skills of different professions, several armors, food, and other necessities. Of course, all of them were currently in the system inventory.

The moment that everyone joined the territory, another prompt appeared in front of Henry.

Henry thought about it, and decided to name the territory ’Domination Star’.

[Point to note: The territory basically depends on the Lord. For that reason, as long as the Lord dies, then, the territory will have majority of its functions disabled. This is unless another Lord takes over.]

Henry was finally relieved. At least, even if he left, he was sure that the territory was not going to attract much attention towards it. After all the one that had been attracting the most attention was the aura of the core of the territory.

But now, the aura had been veiled, and, the radius of the invisible barrier that was protecting the territory had also been increased. Moreover, the strength of the barrier depended on his own level. That implied that, currently, it is capable of blocking a level 2 bronze level apocalyptic creature.

As for whether it could actually block an attack of a creature that was at the 3rd level, that was something that needed experiment. But, since he did not know if the barrier was going to regenerate or not, Henry did not dare risk to attack it.

The good thing that had happened right now was that, he had felt that there was a connection between him and the barrier. This happened the moment that he named the territory.

In this way, he would be able to know if there was an attack that was being launched on the territory. Additionally, if the barrier was broken, he would also know, and that would tell him that the opponent that the territory was facing at the time was way stronger than the second level of the Bronze rank.

With everything ready, Henry decided to leave Storm behind. He was the one that was going to be in charge of security, together with the group of 10 that had been recruited, with Arthur and his group.

In this trip, Henry had decided that he was going to take only the elites. As for Jasmine, although she had not yet reached the Bronze rank, Henry could tell that in the future, she would be formidable. So, they might as well use this chance to enable her to reach the Bronze rank as soon as possible.

And before they left, Henry made sure to leave enough food in the kitchen for the children and the rest of the people that were going to be left behind.

The group that was leaving included Henry, Adam, Olivia, Sarah, Diana, and Jasmine. Even though there were only six of them, they were enough for the trip.

In order to make sure that they arrived there as fast as possible, the group had no choice but to use the Jeep. Since there are six of them, some of them had to stay in the compartment. Nonetheless, nobody complained.

Since currently, Henry was the only person that knew how to drive, he sat on the driver’s seat. As for Adam, he was the one that sat in the compartment. Sarah, Diana, and Jasmine sat in the back seats. Olivia sat on the passenger seat.

Using the holographic map that was presented in front of him, Henry was able to navigate easily. Due to the fact that, he was able to see a distance away, even before arriving, he was able to avoid all the unnecessary trouble.

And after about 1 hour, they had finally arrived at the Western part of the city. Here, they could feel that the energy in the air was more intense than anywhere else. They felt that, this was the same energy as the one that was in their bodies, but, they did not have a method of absorbing it into their bodies.

Moreover, they felt that, the energy that was in the air was also seeping into their bodies. At this moment, they all felt refreshed. Even though they could not understand, they knew that this was completely different from the mist that was currently painting the world red.

More than this, the group realized that, the amount of damage that had been dealt on the western part of the city was way higher as compared to any other side. Almost every building in this part of the city had been razed onto the ground.

The amount of devastation In this part of the city was unmatched. Luckily, the Jeep was able to transform into the off-road mode, and, using its incredible defense system, it was able to bulldoze through several blockades.

Henry did not know exactly where the sound originated from. So, he could only drive blindly in the western part of the city, trying to see if there was anything that might have caused the sound of the explosion.

After moving around for a while, Henry finally realized that there was a part of the map that had several red dots. This implied that, this was an enemy.

However, what made Henry and the others who were looking at the holographic screen in front of them narrow their eyes was that, the number of dots was innumerable. They were just too many.

’System, is there a way to upgrade the attack systems of the Jeep?’ Henry asked in his mind.

[Positive. You can upgrade the attack systems of the Jeep using mutation crystals. The number of mutation crystals that will be needed will be 5 level 4 mutation crystals.]

[With this upgrade, the attack power of the Jeep will be increased to level 5 of the Bronze rank.]

Henry took a deep breath. Currently, to upgrade the attack systems, he required bronze rank mutation crystals. As for upgrading the whole Jeep, it had remained the same, 5,000 level 9 Bronze rank mutation crystals. It seemed that the system had given him the price of upgrading the Jeep, without the discount.

Well, that was to be expected considering that, even with the discount on, at that time, he was not capable of getting any bronze rank mutation crystal.
