The Red Dragon Just Wants To Do As It Pleases
Chapter 51 - 50: Featherbrain

Chapter 51: Chapter 50: Featherbrain

After a moment, a crowd of elves, only too eager to watch a bigger scene unfold, and Drow, who hurried forward to ’bravely protect their master,’ finally managed to pry apart the two savagely fighting Red Dragons. It took all their might, and they paid the price: twenty-eight elves suffered workplace injuries, either smashed away on the spot or caught and crushed. They then successfully subdued the wild red dragon, who fought like a woman possessed.

Damn, I was careless, David, his face covered in bloody marks from the female dragon’s bites and claws, murmured to himself. He was still shaken, even under the effects of his sister Tania’s Minor Healing and the continuous Touch of Healing from the Elf Druids.

This female dragon was so damn fiery. She fought desperately, as if intending to rip his skull open at any cost. If his side hadn’t possessed an overwhelming advantage in dragon numbers, his skull truly might have been flipped today. For some reason, he should have been able to easily handle this situation with his Seven Sins Authority. Of course, activating the Authority would likely have resulted in accidentally killing her outright. But once he entered that state of close combat, it was as if his brain had been blasted with adrenaline, leaving nothing but molten lava-like Wrath. He fought purely on draconic instinct. Was this sort of shrewish fighting style really encoded into the DNA of dragons?

"If you dare, fight me one-on-one! What skill is there in bullying me with your retainers? I won’t accept this! I, Lizrite, would rather die here today than let you succeed!"

David shook his head at her earlier words, too lazy to bicker with this unreasonable red dragonling. However, he instantly erupted in Wrath at her last sentence.

With a dragon’s majestic strut, he came before the young female dragon, reared up, and adopted a Vegeta-like arrogant pose—claws crossed over his chest, tail held high. He declared, "Are you daydreaming in broad daylight? Or are you blind despite your youth? Open your eyes wide and take another good look! Aren’t I a Red Dragonling, just like you?"

Lizrite, nearly driven mad with Despair and anger, paused. Her face filled with suspicion as she looked David up and down, her previous unyielding stance softening considerably. She asked uncertainly, "You, you’re lying... I’m already fourteen this year, nearly a young dragon. Yet you’re at least three sizes larger than me, and your strength is in a completely different league! And you still have the nerve to pretend to be a dragonling?"

David didn’t even bother to continue arguing with her. He turned his head and nodded his chin at the Silver Dragon. "Tania, tell this brainless fool how old I am."

Brainless?! Lizrite heard this label and flared up in anger again, almost bursting a blood vessel. But Tania’s next words felt like a breath of icy mist washing over her head.

"That’s right, my brother isn’t lying. He’s only six years old."

"Six years old?! Your brother?" Lizrite’s pitch first soared as if her tail had been stepped on, then quickly weakened. She murmured to herself, How can this be... possible...

She glanced at the Silver Dragon, also half a size larger than her, and then at the Red Dragonling who completely overwhelmed her. An unprecedented sense of defeat washed over her. And with it came an envy and Jealousy she was unwilling to admit. She envied their excellent physical development. She was jealous of their superior growth environment.

"Tie her up. Let’s call it a day. What rotten luck!" David couldn’t be bothered to say more.

"Wait! Why are you capturing me? What do you want to do to me?" The young female dragon, now devoid of her previous death-seeking fervor, finally let fear of the unknown take over.

Seeing the once-fierce Red Dragon now looking so helpless and panicked, David, who had lost interest, suddenly felt a spark of mischief. He turned his head to face the young dragoness with an evil, savage smile. "What do you think a male Red Dragon does after capturing a dragoness and taking her back to his nest?"

David’s pupils instantly narrowed into two dangerous slits. "Of course, it’s to take you back to be the lady of my nest. Once you’ve grown into a young dragon, I can then... hehehe..."

"You dare! You despicable, shameless, lewd dragon! If you dare do that to me, I swear I’ll bite a hole in your cloaca! I, Lizrite, always mean what I say!"

Faced with the female dragon, who was already panicking yet spewing unfiltered curses, David surprisingly showed no signs of Wrath this time. He cheerfully looked towards his Silver Dragon sister and said with a smile, "Tania, look! This ’brainless’ one is losing it! She’s totally losing it, hehe. I’ve decided, from now on she’ll just be called Brainless." His Arrogance was palpable.

Without waiting for the furious female dragon to rebut, David clapped his dragon claws, looking quite complacent. A feeling of Arrogance swelled within him as he said, "From now on, when we encounter Red Dragons, this is what we do: go straight for a Taunt. They’ll charge at us without a second thought, guaranteed. It’s much better than any static trap."

"Brother David, don’t provoke her anymore! Can’t you just tell her the truth? Look, the blood vessels on her neck that I worked so hard to freeze are bursting open again! Ai!" Tania felt somewhat helpless, having a brother who was both clueless and playful when dealing with female dragons. Her frost breath was nearly spent from the chase. She had to cautiously approach the red female dragon’s continuously bleeding neck, open her mouth, and stick out her tongue.

"Wait! Hold on! What are you doing! Ah!!!" Lizrite, utterly unaware she was facing a pair of Silver Dragon siblings, fell into complete Despair.

SLURP. SLURP. SLURP.

"EEK!!!" As Tania’s cold tongue licked her, the extremely tense Lizrite suddenly stiffened even more, her scales standing on end. Then, an unprecedented sensation swept over her, seeming to travel up her spine to her head, causing her whole body to go limp. If not for the dozens of Elf prisoners surrounding her, she probably would have collapsed.

"Alright." David immediately approached the panting young female dragon, craning his neck to look down at her. "Brainless," he said, "I’m telling you the truth now, so listen carefully.

"Considering the volcanic eruption at Mount Katjana this year, which caused abnormal climate conditions and indirectly worsened the living environment for homeless young dragons like you, my sister and I have decided to initiate a ’Homeless Young Dragon Rescue Plan.’ It is as follows:

"We plan to bring all you unfortunate souls—dragons born but not properly raised, left to wander and commit crimes—back to my Dragon Nest campsite. We want to ensure you receive a series of assistance measures, including but not limited to food, accommodation, and even education, until you reach adolescence and gain some ability to live independently.

"Of course, construction of my Dragon Nest campsite has just begun, so these services cannot be entirely free. You must participate in work assigned by the campsite, in addition to obeying all camp rules.

"That’s the gist of it."

After listening to David’s lengthy explanation, Lizrite was utterly dumbfounded. It seemed like she understood each word, but when put together, the meaning eluded her. It took her a long moment to grasp what he meant. Then, she burst out laughing in disbelief, her eyes wide as she retorted, "You, a Red Dragon, are that kind-hearted? Are you trying to pass yourself off as the North Wind Dragon King?

"No, wait... that lord of the Metal Dragons certainly wouldn’t care about the life or death of us Chromatic Dragons."

Huffing and puffing, she raised her head, looking as if she were prepared for a noble sacrifice. "Just kill me then! You can violate my body, but you can’t humiliate my mind!"

David laughed and spread his claws towards his somewhat dumbfounded Silver Dragon sister. "See, Tania? Look at this Brainless. I told her the truth, but she won’t believe it."
