Chapter 93: Bonus Chapter II - The Christmas chaos

Aadhya’s POV -

“You should have said to him clearly that this is the worst idea that he ever came up with,” Ryan said nth time in irritation while aria and bria both are in his arms and sleeping on his either of his shoulders “It is still not late. Call him and tell him to not come here” I gave him a pointed look which made him shut his mouth instantly.

“I don’t want our kids to be known for centuries for disrupting peace between vampires and werewolves” He whined, and this instantly made me chuckle. Dad, Uncle Ansh, Dee, Ryan and I are sitting on the couches in our drawing room. Both Aria and Bria were feeling sleepy so as always, they went to their dad and again as always Ryan let them sleep on his lap. So now they are sleeping on either of his shoulders... {we should wake them up. If they will sleep now, then they will not sleep on time and let’s not forget that if they stayed awake when our guests come then there is a high chance that they will surely cause a full-fledged war between vampires and werewolves}. So, if you are wondering what is happening and why all our family members are in the kitchen, then let me clarify this for you first.

Today is Christmas (yeah, merry Christmas to you too). So, as per the family tradition, all the others are going to come to our home, and we are going to celebrate as we do every year. But the issue is the vampire king’s assistant... Yes, I am talking about that human assistant Maya.

Well, let me clarify first. Adam is now on friendly terms with us after Greyson’s war... (well, it’s more like family terms now). He used to come and celebrate with us on other occasions too and even a couple of times on Christmas too but this time he will be coming with his assistant here.

No, that coward was not able to pursue her even after being in love with her for eight years now and the problem is... he has planned that he is planning to confess his feelings today.... But what he doesn’t know is... Our kids are the kids who can scare the hell out of pennywise too... so, how a human will survive their wrath?

As a good friend of Adam, I should have been praying for Maya to accept his proposal but... Here I am praying for Maya to stay sane when they will exit our house. Every year Maya used to go to her native place to celebrate the festival with her family but this year her parents are on a world tour, so she didn’t have any other people to celebrate Christmas with, and as Adam is now her ‘friend’ he invited her to our place for celebrating Christmas. She was excited too about coming here because she had only met aria and bria a couple of times and that too for a very short time like minutes or so. She thinks that my girls are cute and lovely {well, let her see the harsh truth of life then.}

Two years ago, Adam told her the truth about our species and dude was she not scared? She changed her house, changed her job, hell, she was so scared that she planned to leave the country too, but luckily, she didn’t get the job. She avoided Adam like a plague for almost six months and let me accept it ... that time I was also scared of him... Yeah, I the luna queen was also scared of the vampire king.

Adam accepted that Maya will never come into his life again not even as a friend... {I have to say this... but that man is truly whipped for that human girl. She can tell him to do anything, and that stupid will go to any lengths to do that thing} ... But after the seventh month, I think she contacted him on her own because let’s just accept, she was the most introverted person I have met in my whole life. Adam is the only friend she has.

When she was nineteen, she joined adam’s club. She continued her studies in the afternoon and after that, she used to directly come to the club, till midnight she stayed there to earn for supporting her education. Neither she did have the time nor the will to make any friends anywhere, but our adam’s persistent effort to be her friend resulted in her being his friend for almost six years now. She still works as his assistant but now she takes care of all the businesses he has and even earns a very handsome salary.

Yeah, it is funny to even think that the vampire king’s best friend is a human but hey... Who I am to judge, ’Alpha king is mated to a human’ used to be funnier than this. Someone rang the doorbell and before I stood up from my place Dee got up.

“Stay seated addy. I will open the door” he got up quickly and opened the door. I instantly heard Layla’s voice.

“Jayden, Cora. Stop or I will break your legs for god’s sake” she shouted and Jayden and Cora both ran inside our home while calling aria and bria excitedly.

Both Aria and Bria woke up the second they heard their voice... {I can’t believe there are the same girls who make me spend daily thirty to forty minutes to wake them up and still they walk into the whole house like zombies after that}. They jumped from Ryan’s lap and ran towards Jayden and Cora and hugged them.

“Why you came so late?”

“When will the others will come?” before Aria and Bria even start with their questions, we heard many kids’ voices {here, the night starts}. Layla came beside me and slumped on the sofa while Ellon who is holding sleeping Elias in his arms went towards Ryan and took the place there.

“Don’t you think that the noise will wake him up?” Ryan asked Ellon while looking lovingly at Elias... {If someone would have said to me that big bad alpha king has a soft spot for kids then I would have never believed that before.}

“He is a tight sleeper. He will not wake up until someone will touch him or wake him up deliberately” Ellon said with a smile and both of them kept looking at him while ignoring all the chaos that is happening around them.

All the kids Bella, Nora, Miles, Nolan, Silas, Roman, Ryder, Clara along with Jack (yepp, jack too.... He is still the oldest kid in all the children’s gang} ... started their usual shouting, crying and whatnot.

As usual, we all ignored all this and let them do their daily nonsense again. Dee and Silas (lily’s oldest son) are the only silent ones in all of our kids, so they stay by each other’s side always. Roman (lily second oldest) is still trying to figure out which group he wanted to be in. While dee and Silas seem to be boring to him the other kids irritate him too much, so he likes to sit in a single place for hours and observe everything.

Jayden (Layla’s oldest), Miles (matt’s oldest), Ryder (lily’s third oldest), Bella (jack’s oldest) and Nora (jack’s second) are the next group then. These all kids are no less than nightmares when they are in the mood to destroy others instead of each other. Everything seems pretty alright when they are playing, fighting, wrestling, or whatever they are doing, but once they made someone target then ... let’s say we have to take care of the matters after that. The last group has Cora (Layla’s daughter), Nolan (matt’s younger son) and Clara (lily’s youngest) ... This group is the least troublesome, all three are extremely creative and they believe in laziness more than anything.

You must be thinking about what group my daughters come in. They are actually a group in themselves. They get involved with others according to their mood and the situation. Like if the creative group is doing something that will land them in trouble then aria and bria will be with them, if the most notorious group is planning something (most of the time this is the case) then they will surely have to be with them and above all if dee and Owen or Silas are planning to break any rule or anything and they heard about this then Dee is the one they will choose always... {yep, when Dee and Owen bunked classes and went to the woods, aria and bria followed him and at the end were caught by forest guard warriors}... So, you can conclude that our girls’ only agenda is to cause as much trouble as they can for everyone.

Matt also went towards Ryan and Ellon and all three of them started talking about the usual stuff while dad and uncle ansh gladly took Elias and the creative group with them. They bond with each other very well because these two are the one who also teaches many cool stuffs, like painting and playing instruments.

Though I have already told Ryan and dee to keep an eye on the notorious group and aria and bria I don’t know if anyone will be able to stop them if they decided that they wanted to ruin the night for adam today. I was thinking all this when someone again rang the doorbell but this time, I told dee to stay seated as I went and opened the door for adam and Maya.

“Hello, Dracula” I greeted adam the usual way and as always, he rolled his eyes while entering the house, Maya followed him “hello Maya, how are you?” I asked her and she side-hugged me.

“I am awesome. How are you addy?” she asked me and extended a couple of gifts towards me “I bought a few things for kids, but I don’t know if they will like these” ... {Oh honey, just keep your focus on staying away from the kids}

“Welcome to my home first of all and let me warn you ... stay away from the kids as much as you can if you want to stay sane” I warned her and when she chuckled, I knew that she is taking my warning as a joke.

“Oh, la laalaa. So, she is Maya” Layla came behind me and from her tone, I already knew that she going to tell something that will surely embarrass Maya. Layla went towards Maya and gave her a warm hug which Maya replied with a timid smile “Dude she surely is an eye candy”... {here comes the dialogue} ... adam coughed and excused himself from there.

“For god’s sake can you please not scare her away Layla? She has not even entered the house properly” I scolded Layla, and she rolled her eyes.

“Oh, come on I am just complimenting her. You know Maya I also wanted to look like a snack, but I keep eating them instead” ... {face palm} ... Layla looked at her ’jiggly’ tummy but before she says anything else I pulled Maya with me.

“Enough Layla.... This is enough for today”

“But” I ignored Layla’s but and heard Maya chuckling and I am actually glad that she found humour in Layla’s words which I was unable to find in my twenty-eight years of life. When we came to the drawing room everyone is chaos there. The kids are as usual shouting, running, laughing, and crying, the grownups are as usual laughing while jack was teasing Ryan (yeah, he is again sitting on Ryan’s lap).

I looked at Maya and for the first time today, I saw nervousness on her face “welcome to my home Maya. This is my family” She was too shocked to say anything.

Dee averted her attention towards him when he came towards us “Hi Maya, I am Diego” he said to her sweetly and extended his hand towards Maya which she gladly accepted.

“Hello Diego” She replied with a smile. When I thought that she will become comfortable with us slowly the room fell into silence suddenly. I looked at others and found all of them looking directly at Maya... {there is seriously no need to make her uncomfortable guys} I snapped at everyone through mind link and thankfully all the elders after coughing awkwardly went to the things that they are doing before but the kids are still watching Maya with shy glances.

Ryan literally threw jack away from his lap and came towards us “Hi Maya. I am the alpha king Ryan Knight” he introduced himself and I rolled my eyes {There is seriously no need to add alpha king in your introduction} ... I mind-linked him but he just smirked towards me.

“And I am jack... first love of alpha king’s life” Jack came behind Ryan and on this before Ryan or I said anything Sarah came behind him and smacked jack’s head. Sarah is a good few inches shorter than Jack and every time she smacks his head like that, she literally has to jump to do it. At first, we used to laugh at it a lot but now this is normal to us just like jack’s stupid flirting is.

I looked at Maya and found her looking towards adam... {she must be feeling out of the place here. Let’s start the mission, what are we waiting for? It will be better if he will confess his feelings before the kids start their usual chaos} ... I nodded.

“Adam, will you come with us for a bit,” I asked adam and he nodded. I took Maya with me to the kitchen and offered water to her and when adam came offered to him too. “Our family is a bit over-friendly so don’t get scared of them” she just smiled at me “so, how’s life going?” I sat at the dining table and Maya, adam followed the same.

“Good for now. Things are settling down bit by bit” she said with a smile. I can see how conscious she is around adam while we talked there for some time. The way she tugged that single strand of hair behind her ear or the secret glances that she threw towards adam just to see how he is reacting to the things that she is saying. I can notice many things in adam’s behaviour too. His secret glances when she laughed or the small smile that was constantly playing on his lips in this whole conversation is enough for me to see that both are whipped for each other but like every other case, none of them is aware of each other’s feelings even when everything is crystal clear.

“And what about dating,” Adam was drinking water that time and just like that he was about to spill water everywhere, but I placed my hand over his mouth and pushed him towards the sink... {bull’s eye} .... I got the exact reaction that I was expecting I rubbed his back while he coughed there like a dog.

“Sorry about this stupid person Maya. So, where were we... yes, did you get a boyfriend for yourself, or you are still single?” I asked her but her whole focus is on adam. “Oh, come on he is alright. A little bit of water is not enough to choke a vampire king” I said with a smirk and adam glared at me. His nose is completely red and so does his eyes.

“You are such a monster,” Adam said to me, and I chuckled.

"This sounds like a prayer from a demon’s mouth" I teased him "I have to check on my kids. I don’t want them to set the house on fire. So, if you wanted to join others then you can go outside and if you want to spend a few minutes here in peace then you can do that too, adam will keep you company” I told Maya and winked at her. But both of them became way more than nervous about this.

“I am also coming with you,” both of them said at the same moment and I looked at them with raised eyebrows... {Is there something I am missing?} ...

“I mean I wanted to talk with Ryan about something,” Adam said and ran as if his pants were on fire. I looked at Maya in confusion who is not looking normal.

“So, you guys are head over heels for each other and still don’t want to spend time alone with each other. Am I missing something here?” I went towards Maya, and she is blushing hard now.

“We don’t love each other. I mean he is not a bad guy; he is handsome, well-mannered and respectable but I didn’t like him” she blabbered in nervousness.

“Great, now I can introduce him to other...” before I even complete my sentence.

“Nooo” she shouted and again became embarrassed, and I smirked.

“Why don’t you just accept that vampire boy stole your heart?” she squeezed her eyes shut.

“I don’t know what he feels about me,” she said to me, and I can’t help but laugh out loud.

“He is with you most of the time for the last eight years. You are a human, and he is a vampire and still, he has not even tried to suck your blood even once. Do you how easy it was for other vampires to target you in that club, but none dared to even look into your eyes because they are scared to make their king mad? If this doesn’t show his love, then what will?” I asked her and she looked troubled “He is in love with you for eight years now Maya. You didn’t notice many things that time but I noticed his concern on the very first day too.” She is looking nervous, but that blush is clearly saying that she is actually ready to accept him “but why are you guys avoiding each other like that”

She groaned in embarrassment and hid her face in her palms “I kissed him yesterday when I was drunk” this again cracked me up but when I remembered my first kiss, I can’t help but feel sympathy for Maya. I tried my best to ignore Ryan at all costs.

“But if none of you will take the initiative to confess your feelings then I don’t know how both of you will work out” she huffed but before she says anything I heard a high-pitched shriek and I didn’t take much time to dash outside.

Kids are nowhere to be seen but others are running upstairs, so I also followed them {did they set each other on fire this time?} ... I heard a couple of ‘what the fuck?’ after reaching there and the scene in front made me repeat the same sentence by myself too.

I don’t know what happened here but all of them are fighting like maniacs. Bella and Nora are hitting others with whatever toys came in their hands, Ryder have the toy sword in his hand and he is continuously acting like he is slicing everyone around him like a Viking, Jayden is just jumping on every kid around him and shouting ‘bodyslammmm’ in a fake deep voice, Miles is trying hard to choke Silas and is failing miserably while Silas is just looking irritated, Nolan is crying on the corner and is shouting ‘nobody plays with me’ while Aria is scolding him by saying that ‘we are werewolves Nolan we cry like... whooooooo.... You are crying the wrong way’, Clara is just running around the whole room and shouting like a maniac and bria is just standing in front of Roman and is trying to challenge him with a sword in her hand to fight with her... At first, I took a deep breath and started counting the children and when I was unable to find Cora anywhere, I shouted loudly... “SILENCEEEEE”

All of them stopped instantly when I saw aria and bria slipping inside the cabinet where they keep their toys. I ignored them and looked for Cora.

“Where are you, Cora?” I asked loudly.

“I am here aunt addy” I heard her voice from the corner where she was just lying on the ground with her face towards the floor.

“What are you doing there?” I asked her in confusion while others are trying to hold their laughs at their kid antics.

“Ohh, I decided that I will crawl like worms from now on. Isn’t it an intelligent decision dad?” as soon as she said that we all cracked and started laughing and all the kids actually got scared by this reaction. After a few minutes when we were finally able to calm ourselves, Aria and bria came out of the cabinet with a boom which actually startled everyone and shouted... ‘We are back from narnia’ and this again put all of us in fits of laughter. A few of the kids also started laughing just to not feel out of the crowd while others are still trying to understand what actually happened to their parents. Again after a few minutes, we calmed ourselves down and now our stomachs are hurting so much that all of us sat on the floor there.

“I didn’t know that you were literally warning me before addy. These kids can really set the whole house on fire” Maya said, and we all chuckled.

“Well, they can burn this world too, but we are trying our best to save this world” Ryan added, and we again chuckled.

“I know it will sound very stupid to you all but looking at all this. I also want a family now” adam added.

“Then who are you waiting for? You already have a girl whom you love. Just make a move man” Layla said casually, and we all looked at her in horror while I can see Maya’s broken expressions instantly.

Adam looked at Maya with a horrified expression and Maya’s expression turned broken to angry within minutes... {damn a sweet girl can look scary too}

Both of them stood from their place and the air in the room is so tense that I can cut it with a knife. Suddenly she took the lamp that was on the table and was about to throw it on adam when he shouted...

“Are you going mad?” she was again about to throw that lamp when he again shouted “wait” he looked around the room desperately. He went towards Ryder and took the toy sword from his hand “here take this” he went towards Maya cautiously and none of are even able to understand what is happening around us. He cautiously took the lamp from her hand and placed that on the table but as soon as the lamp touched the table Maya shouted.

“You cheating bastard” she started beating him and he tried hard to top her, but she was not in the mood to listen to anything “Why did you kiss me back yesterday when you already have a girlfriend?” she again hit him hard. For a few seconds, kids don’t know how to react but after a while, they started cheering loudly.

“Oww, you have to listen to me before reacting Maya” he tried to converse with her between the beating but failed miserably “you are a crazy bitch Layla” he shouted in frustration, and this made Maya stop midway. I was enjoying all this when Ryan nudged me.

“Do you think we should interrupt?” I shook my head in negative and slumped on him. He encircled my torso from back and kissed my head “I also think so”

“Don’t curse here you asshole. There are so many kids here” she shouted, and we all chuckled but adam’s face is all pale in nervousness. He didn’t know how to tackle this situation now and he is also scared that if he will not clarify the misunderstanding then he will not be able to come on good terms with Maya... {and then he thought that my house is the best place to accept his love for her... great choice adam}

Before he even apologise she again started hitting him and his owww, ouch, it hurts Maya continued for a few more minutes. “I can’t see him like that more now. We kings have an image to maintain” Ryan said, and I chuckled lightly.

“You already know what will shut her mouth and stop her hands, Adam. Don’t hesitate or she will beat you for hours. Jealous girls can be more dangerous than a group of hunters. Believe me, I have already faced the same situation” Ryan said, and I can’t help but chuckle at it... {he surely knows how to tackle this situation very well}

For a few seconds, Adam seems to be contemplating whatever Ryan said but when Maya didn’t stop, he finally huffed and took the hold of the sword. He stopped but she is still seething in anger. He pulled the sword towards him which pulled Maya to him too and their bodies crashed together.

“See, I told you this will work” Ryan’s mind linked me with a smug look while I can hear the sudden speeding heartbeats of Maya. I smirked looking at both of their expressions while the kids are looking at them with open mouths.

“We should give them a little privacy” I mind-linked everyone and after Layla’s “Few more minutes addy. The exciting part is just going to start” and Ellon’s “let’s go babe” finally everyone got up from their place and took all the kids out of the room.

Adam’s POV (this is only because... exciting part is just starting) -

I can hear everyone going out of the room, but Maya’s eyes are not letting me look at anything else.

“Do I still have to say in words and accept that the one whom Layla is talking about is no one else but you?” I asked her. I snaked my hands around her waist and pulled her towards me. “Do you think that I usually tell every human my real identity?” I asked her and she started shivering. “You know me for eight years now, Maya. Did you ever see me romantically involved with anyone in these eight years? Did you not feel from the kiss that we shared yesterday how much I love you?” she is looking so timid and nervous now.

“If you want the words then fine. I am madly in love with you from the first time I saw you. I am in love with you for eight years now. I don’t know how and why this is happening. I know that this will change your whole life because we are different species, but I can’t help but fell harder every time I meet you."

"I tried to ignore you, I tried to stay away from you, I even tried to fall in love with someone else but ...” she looked downwards but I cupped her right cheek and made her look at me “but I can’t forget even a single thing about you. Only you are the one who comes to my mind whenever I think about someone whom I love” I don’t know why but a tear rolled down from my eye “I don’t know what I would do if you again stopped talking with me. I don’t know what I would do if you again started ignoring me. I don’t know what I would do if you told me to not show you my face again. I don’t know...” Before I complete my sentence, she tiptoed and placed her lips on mine.

My eyes closed on their own, and she encircled her arms around my neck. She moved her lips softly around mine and I also did the same. She broke our kiss within seconds and no matter what it is, I still can’t force her to do something that I am not sure she wants.

“Will you listen to me if I will ask something from you?” She asked me directly looking into my eyes. I nodded instantly and she cupped my cheeks with both of her hands. “I was scared that you and your species will never accept me because I am a human... I love you adam, I love you so much that it even hurts to even think that someone else will come and take that special place in your life except me. Can you please never ever hold yourself back from talking with me in any case or making the first move towards me?” as soon as she completed her sentence, I completely took her in my arms and kissed her passionately. In starting she is shocked but within seconds she joined the kiss with the same passion.

I broke the kiss when I felt that she really needed breath and kissed her face and her forehead “We are going to your place after this party” I asked her, and she nodded instantly with a smile and cute blush.

Yeah, I have not planned today like this, but I don’t think it any other way now. She hugged me tight, and I also encircled my arms around my whole world.
