Chapter 91: Chapter 91 - Epilogue

Eight years later -

"Addy", Dee came after completing his evening training and slumped on the sofa that is in the drawing room. "Addy, I am home; where are you?" he again shouted and waited for her to come out from anywhere, but when she didn’t come or reply, he rolled his eyes and went towards the kitchen "addy", he called her but didn’t get any response. He went towards the office. He knocked on the office door and opened it after a few seconds, where he found Aadhya doing her work.

"What happened, Dee?" she asked him and closed the file that she was reading. He went towards her and kissed her on the cheek.

"Nothing just wanted to see you," he said and sat on the chair that was in front of the table. "What are you reading?" he asked her, and she couldn’t help but smile. No matter if Dee is a child or a teenager, his questions are never-ending.

"Checking the annual file of council members. Ryan wants it by tomorrow," She explained to him, and he nodded. When they checked the files that they found at Greyson’s, they discovered that Elder Drew’s son was the one who was saving Greyson’s ass from the council this whole time.

When he got to know that the Alpha king attacked Greyson’s land, he informed his father about his wrong deeds and being a father who loves his child irrespective of his actions; Elder Drew tried to do something to save his son. When this was revealed, both Ryan and Aadhya went to the council and stayed there for almost a month to tackle the situation. From then, the council members are selected by the king and Aadhya (wolves), and they also maintain an annual report of every council member. "How’s your school and training?" she asked him, and his eyes twinkled with excitement.

"Matt said that I am becoming stronger day by day," he said with a smile, and instantly his eyes turned into his wolf’s eyes, "and I am also feeling stronger, addy. Can I please take control of him now?" Delcan (Dee’s wolf) requested Aadhya’s wolf, who also came forward to answer his question.

"At least wait for one more year, Delcan. I am already allowing you to transform before the age," Aadhya said to him pointedly, but Delcan didn’t seem to like this.

"Please addy", he gave her his best puppy dog eyes, making things hard for Aadhya.

"We have already had this conversation, Delcan. Uncle Anshuman checked your body a month ago and clearly informed us that Dee’s body is not strong enough."

"But milo’s human said today that my human is becoming stronger", he again tried to convince her.

"Dee is already stronger than other kids of his age. That’s why uncle Anshuman even permitted you to transform two years before other wolves," she told him strictly this time, and Delcan finally accepted his defeat and gave the control back to Dee.

"Are you going to visit the unclaimed pack today? Can I also come with you?" Dee asked Aadhya, and she took a deep tired breath. The war that happened eight years ago was fierce, but not many people died in it. The trauma that Aadhya’s wolf shared with them made many of them back off from the fight. There are many people who would have been homeless and pack less if Ryan and Aadhya had forced them to move out of that land, but they didn’t do it. Instead, they voted in favour of letting those people live there.

After everything that happened, the council is not in favour of letting that land without surveillance, but it is impossible for any alpha to take that land and people under his control because all the species are its members. So, with the help of the vampire king, the head of the witches, and Ryan, they agree to take care of that land together, and all the supernatural species are allowed to live there with the permission of any of these three people.

All the bodies of the people who died in that war are resting in a cemetery that is also on the same land, including Shira’s, while Ethan’s body was taken by his parents to the blue moon pack (alpha Aiden is still the alpha of blue moon pack). All the leaders take time from their schedule and visit the unclaimed land to make sure that things are going smoothly over there, and whenever Aadhya misses Shira, she just changes into her wolf form and makes a quick visit to her gramma, and sometimes Dee also accompanies her. Obviously, it would not have been easy to run with a thirteen-year-old on her back, but her wolf is the Luna queen for a reason.

"Not today. The principal called us at school yesterday," she said, and Dee frowned.

"Again," he asked, and she nodded, "but he called you guys last week too."

"I can’t blame him, can I?" before Dee could say anything, the office door opened with a boom.

"Moommyyyyy’’ two five-year-old girls came running inside the office, and both Dee and Aadhya removed all the essential documents from the table as quickly as they could.

"Arianna, Brianna... I told you that the office is off-limits." Aadhya scolded them while clearing the table. Both of the twins ignored their mommy as she cleared the table but ran towards dee and hugged his legs.

"We were searching for you in the morning," Aria said to him.

"Why do you have to train so much?"

"Can’t we play the whole day?" Dee laughed at their questions and patted both of their heads.

"Training is essential, Aria, Bria. You also have to start it very soon," he told them, and both of them pouted at him.

"But mommy and daddy are here to protect us. We will not train. It is boring," Aria said, and Bria nodded in support.

"What if people will bully you in school?" Dee asked them and again sat on the chair while Aria and Bria were standing on either side.

"But you will be there with us," both of them said at the same time, and Dee rolled his eyes.

"Then you will never be able to be like dadda, dee, or me," Aadhya said to them and sat on the chair "now, tell me why you were calling for me?" she asked them and both of them went towards her and tried to climb on her lap.

"We just wanted to see you," Aria said and continued her struggle to sit on Aadhya’s lap.

"What were you doing here, mommy?" this is Bria’s question.

"What are you talking about?

"What is dee doing here?

"Where is dadda?"

"Can we get chocolates?" Finally, after five minutes, when both of them were done with their questioning and failed to climb her lap, Aadhya chuckled and took them in her arms and placed them in her lap.

"What did you do in school today?" she asked them, and both of them looked at each other nervously.

"We learned many things," Aria said and cutely winked both of her eyes towards Bria. They both are like little Dee in this matter. Dee was also unable to wink when he was a child.

"Yes, mommy, and now we are tired" Bria faked an adorable yawn and hid her face in Aadhya’s neck, and Aria did the same. Dee and Aadhya both chuckled at this but didn’t say anything to them. Aadhya can feel their breaths slowly getting even. She patted their backs softly and found Dee looking at all three of them.

"Thank you for taking me with you, addy," he said suddenly out of the blue, and Aadhya smiled at him.

"And thank you for being my family when no one was around, Dee" She couldn’t stop but thank him in return. "Are you planning to visit your parent’s pack soon?" she asked him, and he shook his head negatively. After a lot of investigations, they found that Dee’s parents’ death is not an accident. Greyson tried to abduct his mom when they were travelling in their privet jet, which in the end turned into a full-fledged fight and eventually led to the aeroplane crash. They informed him about all this when he turned ten years old. Many a time, aadhya suggested him go and visit the pack, but he is not mentally prepared to face all those things.

"I don’t think I can" his eyes landed on the very familiar file. He knew what was in it and what importance it had in Aadhya’s life. Ryan gave this file to her a month ago, but even after trying many times, she was unable to open it and read its contents.

"Let’s take them to their room" Dee changed the subject and took one of them in his arms "it seems like both of them are really tired", and Aadhya stood from the chair with another one in her arms.

"Who will not be tired after running and shouting the whole day?" aadhya asked him, and they went to Arianna and Brianna’s room and placed them on their respective beds. Their room is designed by Ryan himself; he even painted the walls himself. They have many toys power rangers, barbies, cars, toy guns, and toy swords. Even they also have mini versions of the instruments, which are their favourite possessions. They tiptoed out of their room quietly and took a relieving breath.

"You know, addy, though I love them a lot and can do anything for them... but still... I am tired of their energy now," he said and sat on the floor, and Aadhya did the same. Dee put his head on her shoulder, and she patted his cheek softly.

"I can’t blame you, love. I didn’t even know that I would give birth to my xerox copies with Ryan’s looks" dee chuckled at this.

Both Arianna and Brianna are exact copies of Ryan. They have the same shoulder-length black hair, the same face cut, and the same way of talking, and every day before going to school, they force Ryan to tie their hair as he ties his when he goes to the office. If he ties his hair in a bun someday, both of them want their hair to be tied in a bun too.

They also have qualities of her mother too. They have the same blue eyes that Aadhya’s wolf has. They are also immune to silver and wolfsbane, and let’s not forget the quality of rule-breaking. The only difference is that... aadhya broke many rules and got caught only a number of times while Arianna and Brianna are still learning to hide their rule-breaking. If they don’t stop breaking the rules soon, then Aadhya has already planned to teach them how not to get caught.

"Chicky, where are you?" as soon as Dee heard this, he chuckled while aadhya rolled her eyes. She knows clearly that he is also going to repeat the same that dee, Aria, and bria have already done.

He also came to where they were sitting after a few minutes and gave a breathtaking smile to Aadhya which she replied with her weak one, "Why were you searching for me?" she again asked the same question, and Ryan also came towards them and sat on the floor.

"Just wanted to see you" Aadhya can’t help but smile at this. Every day the same happens. Whenever someone comes back home, they all search for her in the whole house until they see her or someone informs them that she is not home... she asks the same question every day about why they were searching for her, and the answer is also the same every day... "Nothing, just wanted to see you."

"My little devils are sleeping?" he asked them, and both of them nodded, and Ryan took a lazy breath. Only Ryan is the one in their whole house who never gets tired of his daughters. He can listen to their unending questions 24*7, and he is the only one whom they never contradict. Their father’s words are wisdom to them "that’s bad. I was missing them," he said to himself, and Aadhya rolled her eyes.

"Two more days, and then your ’stay home’ week will start, and I will go to the knights. Then you can spend as much time as you want with them," Aadhya said to him, but he was not looking bothered by it. Ryan’s life revolves around the people whom he loves, especially his girls.

"We should get ready. Ellon has already told me to be there earlier. He needs my help in cooking," Ryan told them and stood from his place, but when Dee and Aadhya didn’t get up, he rolled his eyes and extended his arms towards them "get up", Aadhya whined but took Ryan’s hand, and Dee also did the same "get ready fast champ. I would also be needing your help in taming Aria and Bria there" Dee nodded and went towards his room.

"Go and change, Chicky. I will be with girls till then" she nodded, and with a quick peck on his lips, she went into their room. She quickly took a bath, changed into a white knee-length dress, and applied a little makeup. She didn’t tie her hair in a bun like she used to do before but still, she put her bun stick in her purse. After it, she tied her silver knives around her thighs. She took her guns and thought about whether to take those with her or not when the door opened, and Ryan came. Aadhya looked at him questioningly.

"Dee is already ready, so now he is watching over them", he explained and went into the bathroom. When he came out of the bathroom, Aadhya didn’t tease him by looking at his semi-naked form. That’s when he knew that something was really bothering her.

"Are you seriously not planning to share your problems with me now?" he asked her, and she took a deep breath.

"I don’t know if I want to read this file or not" she went towards him, put her feet on his, and hugged him. "I am not sure if it is a good decision or not."

"Take your time Chicky. If you don’t want to read it, then don’t. I just gave this information to you because I think you should have this information. That’s it" he kissed her head, and Aria and Bria entered their room while shouting, and Dee came running behind them.

"Yeah, hug time", Bria shouted, and Aria squealed in excitement when they found Ryan and Aadhya hugging each other. They ran towards them and hugged their legs.

"Why didn’t I get so much power after a power nap?" Dee complained like a kid, and Aria and Bria looked at him. He winked at them, and both of them quickly got away from Ryan and Aadhya. Before they understood, Dee ran towards them and tackled them, which made all three of them fall on the bed.

Ryan fell first, then Aadhya and then Dee above them. Ryan groaned in pain while aadhya couldn’t stop herself from laughing. Aria and Bria also climbed the bed and started jumping above Dee while giggling loudly.

"What was that for?" Ryan asked them, but even he was unable to hide his smile.

"Family hug Ry," Dee said, and suddenly they heard Ben’s and Anshuman’s voices.

"Not without us" Ryan’s and Aadhya’s eyes widened, and before they acted, both Ben and Anshuman went near them and slumped above Dee...

"Owww, dad.. can’t breathe", aadhya shouted.

"I am still a child, uncle ben and uncle ansh" Dee is trying to save himself from squishing under their weight.

"Yeahhh... grampaaaasss.. family hug" Aria and Bria hugged Anshuman, who was on top.

"I want a respectable death... no alpha king has ever died of family hugs... Please get up, you fools," Ryan shouted, and all of them laughed at his statement. Aadhya’s eyes landed on her parent’s files, and she remembered how she used to get jealous of the kids who had families. Aadhya was feeling content and happy with her whole family around when Ryan sneakily kissed her lips. Her eyes got wide, and he smirked at her. She slapped his shoulder softly, and he chuckled. "You know we should not waste the opportunity", he whispered, and she laughed. "I am just kissing my wife," he said and automatically, her gaze landed on the tattoo on his ring finger.

"Weirdo", she mumbled and smiled. She didn’t need to feel jealous of anyone now. She already has everything in her life.

Hello guys, I hope you enjoyed reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it. I am soon going to start work on new story. I have some ideas for the next work both in fantasy genre and in real life-based genre... both the stories are similar to this... full of mystery, action and I am planning to add humor this time.
