Chapter 75: Chapter 75 - Wounded and jealous but still lovable

We were shocked to even react to this. We all were silent and trying to digest the new piece of information when Shira fell to the ground. Aadhya didn’t try to get her up, but she did hug Shira. "Are you alright, gramma?" she asked her in concern while Shira’s gaze was fixed on Lily.

"You are Dominic’s daughter," she said to lily with tears in her eyes "oh my god, how stupid of me not to recognise these eyes" she went towards lily, but Lily didn’t even let her come near her.

"Stay away from me. Just because your scent and smell are similar to her scent. It doesn’t mean that you are my grandmother, and don’t you dare to even utter my dad’s name with your foul mouth" in minutes, Shira’s demeanour changed from loving to that of mad. She got up and placed her hands on her hips, and looked pointedly at lily.

"Watch your words, young lady. Don’t think that I will not scold you just because you are Dom’s daughter. For me, rose and Dom are both equal and similar to them; you and Aadhya are the same for me. I know you are older than Aadhya, but if any of you act bitchy with me, then I will not think twice before scolding you or smacking your head," her statement shocked and confused lily. I looked at Aadhya, and she was also not looking very happy with this statement. She took Shira’s hand in hers and tugged her towards her side.

"We are not the same," she said like a baby, and from her expression, it was clear that she was not ready to share her grandma with anyone. Shira just rolled her eyes at this, and the hurt in Aadhya’s eyes could be clearly seen... {she should not ignore her}

"You hate me because I am Aadhya’s grandmother, and you love your grandmother even when she is the reason for your parent’s death" I looked at Shira suspiciously.. {how did she know this? I got this information after so much struggle, and she already knows this... and if she already has this information, then why didn’t she share it with me before?}.... "and if I am already revealing the truth, then let me clarify that Amara herself gave orders to kill Dominic and ruby first because they get to know about her plan."

"She was afraid that Dom’s love for her would never surpass his loyalty to the pack. She was sure that he would inform Ben about the attack, so the first order she gave was to kill Dom and ruby" I can feel a slight change of energy around us. I looked at Lily, who was shaking with rage, and her wolf had released her aura around her. "It was not like Amara didn’t love Dominic... but just like Dominic, Amara’s loyalty towards her master was more than her love for her child. She tried to pursue him for a long time to join her.. and this was the reason why he left his gamma’s position and became a warrior. So, when Amara again asked him to help, he informed her that he was not the gamma anymore and now he didn’t have the powers to fulfil her bad intentions... but he didn’t know that she had someone else too in the pack which helped her in breaching the borders and...."

"Shut up," lily shrieked like a mad woman suddenly, "shut the fuck up and stop sprouting nonsense" she pulled the blade that was in her hand, spilling her blood everywhere around the floor. "She is not alive. It doesn’t mean that you will say anything stupid about her, and I will believe it" she is now pointing the same blade at Shira.

"You should have coated your weapon with silver gramma. How can you act like a fool?" Aadhya scolded Shira in dissatisfaction.

"Don’t forget that I, too, am a werewolf. If I had coated it with silver, then how would I have been able to use it?" Shira contradicted.

"You can’t possibly use a weapon that your enemy can use against you in the fight" I can’t help but roll my eyes at their stupid bickering... {common, you have to compliment her. She has a point}

"Lower the weapon, lily. I will buy a new one for you, but first, we want to dress that wound," Shira said to Lily, and before she took a step towards her, lily waved the blade aggressively towards her, and Aadhya pulled Shira backward.

"Why don’t you understand that I am your only grandchild? If she didn’t want to accept you, then let her be. Am I not enough for you?" She asked Shira with a cute pout, and I would love to adore her right now, but.. Mia mind-linked me and informed me that the elders from the council would soon be arriving in our pack. I told her to take them to our home when they reached the crescent moon. When I finished mind-linking Mia, I found that everyone was looking at me while that blade was in dad’s hand and lily was sitting on the side stool. Her hands and feet are untied, but still, she is sitting there calmly. I looked at dad for an explanation.

"She didn’t want to go into dungeons.. and you can’t deny that she was telling the truth when she said that she didn’t come here to do any harm to any of us" here comes the super father of her princess.

"Elders will be here anytime now" as soon as I said this, Aadhya’s eyes widened "dad, take care of lily’s matter. Although she is telling the truth, I still can’t believe her. I am not putting her in dungeons, but now if she did something, then you and Shira will be accountable for it" both of them nodded thoughtfully, and I looked at a very panicked Aadhya. "Get ready, Chicky. I don’t think you will get the time for a bubble bath today" I tried to tease her, and she cried dramatically.

"Oh, they are still on their way, and I am already feeling that it is not going to be easy", she whined and looked at me "don’t you dare to forget my chocolates..or you are dead," she gave me a very serious warning and dad took lily outside the room.

"I am taking her to the hospital," Dad said.

"I can dress her wound," Shira stopped them.

"Ben will take Lily to the hospital. It seems like you forgot that she needed to help her ONLY granddaughter take a bath" Aadhya is really looking clearly pissed off now, while Shira just rolled her eyes... {Did you also notice how she emphasised the word only?}...

"Don’t act like this munchkin. She is your cousin, and she really needs my help. Can’t you see she is in pain?" I could clearly see that Aadhya wanted to shout and scream right now, but she took a deep breath and looked out of the room.

"Fine, you all can go out of my room," she said dejectedly, and I could feel that she was not feeling good. She looked outside through the window. Shira was about to say something, but I gestured for her to go, so she, along with dad and Lily, went out of the room, and I closed the door behind them. As soon as she heard the sound of the door, she groaned loudly in irritation and took that blade that was in Lily’s hand a few moments ago.

"You should stay away from her.. she is only my gramma," she threatened a damn blade and threw it on the floor, and I am damn sure if that were not a knife, then she would have surely stomped on it like a kid.

"Should I feel bad that you are more jealous of your gramma than me?" she got startled by this and jumped.

"Are you going to give me a heart attack?" she shouted at me and placed her hand on her heart while I couldn’t help but look at her lovingly.

"No, I am not. I stayed to help you out with all this" I pointed towards her sling, and she narrowed her eyes at me. "Don’t give me these looks. I will just help you to clean up your face and hands. Don’t think of something dirty," I teased her, and she rolled her eyes and didn’t say anything. I went inside the bathroom and took her toothbrush and toothpaste from the side stand. When she came, I extended her toothbrush towards her, which she took from my hand with a grumpy expression "Why these expressions?" I asked her, and she whined.

"Why is gramma treating her like that? I am her granddaughter, not her,’’ she said with a pout, and I smiled at her. She started brushing her teeth with that angry frown on her forehead. I chuckled and made other arrangements to help her while she brushed her teeth. When I came back to her, she was brushing her teeth vigorously and glaring hard at the mirror.

"I told you to brush your teeth, not to injure your gums," I said to her pointedly, and she finally ended her brushing cum fighting. I grabbed her by her waist and made her sit on the side platform. Then I took a small tub filled with hot water and a cloth to clean her and went in front of her again.

"You can share your worries with me," I said while soaking the cloth in the water and then squeezing it. I raised her chin and our gaze met.

"Why is gramma treating her the way she treats me? I am her only granddaughter" she again said the same thing while I cleaned her face softly.

"Aahaa".. {Do it softly, dude, I don’t want you to hurt her again}

"Just think about it. How can she treat her the way she treated me? Did she forget that Lily tried to hurt me?" she is seriously pissed off.

"Hmm"

"And I have already told her that I wanted her help bathing, then why did she leave with her?"

"Uuhhmmm"

"Ok, alright, I know that she was hurt and her hand is bleeding heavily, and I also know that she was in much pain but still."

"Hmm"

"She should not have treated me like that. I never gave her place to anyone; she is my gramma and will always be the one. Why is she giving my place to her? I know she is her grandma too, but still."

"Hmm" I raised the sleeves of her t-shirt and started cleaning her left hand.

"Ok, I can’t deny that she is also her granddaughter, and she also doesn’t have anyone to call a family.. at least by blood, but it doesn’t mean that she can take my place," she is still rambling.

"hmm"

"She..." she stopped suddenly and narrowed her eyes at me accusingly, "you are not listening to me."

"I heard every single word that you said, love, but... I need to help you too. So I am listening to you while doing my work. Got it" she was still not convinced but nodded nonetheless "now I need to remove that sling, ok. Tell me if you will feel pain" she nodded, and I removed her sling and cleaned her right hand while supporting it.

"Didn’t you want to say anything about all the things that I said?" she asked me, and I smiled at her.

"I am hurt that you were jealous of lily in the case of Shira but were not jealous in my case" she still had that pout on her face.

"But you clarified on the very first day itself that you are not interested in her and are willing to give a try to our bond... but that old gramma of mine is already in love with that girl only after hearing her father’s name", I couldn’t hold my laugh anymore and I cracked up. She started glaring at me and continued till I didn’t stop laughing.

"Don’t look at me like that" I was about to help her in wearing her sling again but then stopped "here, hold this hand carefully," I told her, and she supported her right hand with her left hand, and I went outside and took another shirt for her to change. She was waiting patiently for me. "Would you be able to wear it on your own?" she bit her lip nervously, forgetting all the tantrums that she had thrown minutes ago. She shook her head negatively. I nodded and helped her to wear the new shirt above the old one.

"Did someone hit you on your head?" she asked me and gave me an incredulous expression.

"Take your left arm out of the old T-shirt. I am supporting your right hand," she is looking confused but still complied "now use your left hand and take your right hand out of the sleeve. I am already closing my eyes, so don’t call me a pervert" She did what I said to her and even told me to move my arm a few times. At last, after struggling for five minutes, we were able to get that old T-shirt off her body. I again grabbed her waist and made her stand on her feet.

"Now, I am not sure if I would be able to tie your hair because your hair volume is way more than mine" I looked at her hair volume nervously, "but I will try my best to tie them in a bun", she nodded, and I started my struggle with her hair. I took ten more minutes to tie her hair in a messy bun because her hair is way more unruly to make a tight bun "so, how’s it?" I asked her nervously and found her already looking at my reflection in the mirror.

"When are you planning to get ready?" she asked and turned towards me "thank you, but now go and come fast. We have some very serious critiques to impress" I nodded at her and was about to go when she stopped me. I looked at her in question and looked around to see if I needed to do something more. She came toward me, which made me look at her in confusion. She raised her heels, but she was unable to reach my face. She huffed and pouted at me... {Is she really trying to kiss me? I don’t want to scare her if she was not implying this} suddenly, she stomped on my foot, and I bent slightly in pain. That’s when her lips connected with my cheek. I don’t know whether I should focus on the pain or on the tingling sensation that I am feeling on my cheek or my racing heart.

"You are the best," she said to me with a huge smile on her face and ran out of the room... {Did she run into the living room?}... "shit, I forgot that the council elders are already sitting there" I ran behind her, but she was faster than me. When I reached there, she was already standing in front of them, and they all looked more than shocked to meet my human mate.

"So we meet again" to my surprise, these are the words of elder Theodore.
