Chapter 59: Chapter 59 - Beating

"How have you been?".. {Why is he looking so cheerful when talking with her? Ryan, let’s take him with us.}

"I am good." Is it childish to like her grumpy attitude towards him... {I still am doubtful if she is mad at us or at that pup.} before Ethan said anything, Aadhya went towards Layla and looked at me.

"You didn’t tell me that Layla is also going with you" I can see a troubled frown on her forehead, "and you", she smacked Layla’s head. "Do I need to ask you everything now?" Layla didn’t even waste a second and hit Aadhya’s head in return.

"I also got to know about it last night, you stupid bitch", Layla said, and someone tugged my shirt. I looked down and found Dee standing there while he was extending his hands towards me to take him in my arms. So, I complied, and he encircled his arms around my neck and put his head on the nape of my neck.

"What happened, champ?" I asked him, and he snuggled more into me.

"I am sleepy", he mumbled so I didn’t disturb him and focused my attention on Aadhya, who was still bantering with Layla and matt.

"Missing me, guys" suddenly, Jack came towards me and was about to hug me when his eyes got fixed on Dee, and he stopped... {stop him from sprouting non-sens..}

"You made a baby, and I didn’t even know about it", he shrieked like a lady to irritate me... {he is disturbing kid’s sleep}

"Stop this voice, addy ’’ Dee whined, and I glared at Jack, who zipped his mouth and raised his hand in surrender with a smirk.

"Where did you go, jack?" As soon as Jack heard Sarah’s voice, his eyes widened, and he ran towards her.

"Sorry, Sarah. I forgot" he carefully took the baby from her hands, and she fake-glared at him but then came toward me and gave me a side hug.

"How’s our new mama doing?" I asked her, and she shook her head in tiredness.

"Don’t even ask. Ella sleeps all day and cries all night," she complained, and Jack came behind her and encircled his free arm around Sarah’s waist, and she leaned on him. "So, for how many days are you are going this time?" she asked me, and when I shrugged, she rolled her eyes.

Aadhya came toward us and smiled at Sarah. "You must be Jack’s mate". Sarah nodded and hugged Aadhya.

"And you must be..." before Sarah completed her sentence, Aadhya cut her in between in nervousness.

"Yeah" I can see that Sarah also found Aadhya’s reaction weird, but she didn’t say anything.

"You should go, kids, or you will be late," dad told us, and I couldn’t help but feel irritated with Aadhya... {Can’t she say goodbye to us?} ... She took Dee from my arms and looked at me with blank expressions.

"I didn’t want to delay you, but Dee wanted to meet you before you go"... {Why is she behaving cruelly with us?}

"Here, you can give him to me" Ethan came towards Aadhya, and automatically a growl escaped my lips, but he didn’t back up.

"You can’t touch him", I growled at him, and his eyes started shifting between his and his wolf’s. He growled and came toward me in a challenging stance.

"Stop it" dad came between and pushed both of us on either side. "Ryan, you are getting late. Go right away" he was looking beyond mad, but I couldn’t go anywhere when I knew that he was so close to Aadhya and dee. He had hurt both of them in the past, and I would not let him hurt them again. I was trying to calm myself when I felt Aadhya’s hand in mine, and I looked at her.

"Calm down. I am not letting him anywhere near dee and me," she said to me while looking at Ethan, who growled loudly at this. Aadhya cocked an eyebrow towards him, and he calmed himself down and forced a smile on his face.

"Sorry... chocolate?" he asked her, and Dee woke up on this... {red alert Ryan... He is trying to seduce our mate and Dee through chocolate} ... "Diego, do you want it?" he asked Dee with hope, but he shook his head.

"Thank you, alpha, but I already have many"... {Is this kid an angel, dude?}

"Let’s go, alpha. I will come to see you off at the borders. Aadhya, can you accompany me, please?" Matt came towards us and told her.

"But I needed to help dee in getting ready. Reed wants him at school within two hours," she said, and Mia came ahead on this.

"No problem, I will do that. Jack will take care of the training today" Aadhya didn’t even get a chance to say anything while Mia took Dee in her arms, and Matt almost dragged Aadhya into the woods. Ethan also tried to come with us, but dad stopped him and asked him and Lily to follow him into the office while Layla and Ellon came toward me.

"You will not get another chance, alpha and let me warn you. Aadhya is beyond mad. Calm her anger, or she will not let anyone live in peace," Layla muttered and ran behind matt, and Ellon followed the same without saying anything.

"It seems like you got a lot of love angels in your life, dude," Jack said, and Sarah chuckled at this "now, what are you waiting for" I hugged him quickly, kissed Ella’s forehead and followed the scent of others and found all of them moving towards the pack’s border.

"Aadhya" I shouted for her, and everyone stopped. "Can we talk, please?" I said to her softly, and she turned towards me with a glare. Suddenly she bent, took a stone from the ground, and threw it toward me.

"Owww... what are you doing, Aadhya?" I shouted at her, but she again took another stone and threw it directly towards my face, which I ducked on time... {Can’t we just run away from here?}

"You stupid alpha king. What the hell do you think of yourself?" she shouted and searched for something frantically on the ground. I took quick steps towards her, but she took a fallen tree branch from the ground and hit my feet with it... {that hurts}.

"Owww.. you are hurting me, Chicky", I shouted, and she again hit it on my feet, and I jumped to save myself. She looked so mad that I bet if I were not frightened by her, I surely would be able to see steam coming from her ears and nose. I am wearing slippers because we planned to run to council in our wolf forms, and now I regret not wearing shoes. "Sorry, sorry," I shouted, but she continued hitting me. Suddenly she stopped, and I looked at her. Matt is between us and is holding the stick that was in Aadhya’s hand a second ago.

"What has he done to make you so mad?" he asked her, which seemed to make her madder.

"I told him not to go in between them", I heard Layla’s voice, who was calmly sitting on the ground while Ellon’s arms were encircled around her, and he was leaning on a tree. I was looking at them when I heard a painful groan from Matt, who was now standing beside me, and the stick was again in Aadhya’s hand.

"You both are just scumbags. You think that whatever you do is always right" she hit me again and then at matt. We both groaned, and she continued beating us until we fell on our butts. Matt tried many times to hide behind me, and even I also tried to hide behind him, but in the end, we both got our fair share of hits. I accept that we have werewolf healing abilities, but it doesn’t mean we will not feel any pain. Matt and I are sitting on the ground while clutching our feet... ’I am not going to wear slippers ever in my life, not even at home.

"What the hell, addy? Why did you beat me up?" Matt groaned in pain and irritation.

"Because you both are douchebags. I may not be a werewolf, but I have eyes. I can see that you have not marked Mia till now while she has already marked you", she is again looking mad "if you were so much concerned that... what will happen with her if something happened to you, then you should have rejected her the time when you met her", matt growled on this, but she again hit on his feet and as to his bad luck, this time he got hit on his hand instead of feet.

Her focus shifted on me "and this stupid mate of mine. He accepted me without even consulting with me last night and today morning he is hugging that ex of his. Bloody idiot" that’s now when I understand what this all is about and even after getting beaten by her, I couldn’t help but laugh at her jealousy. She again raised the stick, and Matt shouted, ’not again,’ and hid behind me, but this time I took hold of the stick and pulled her towards me. She shrieked as she bumped into me, but I took hold of her neck from behind when her nose was about to crash on my chest... {I seriously don’t want her to look like Voldemort}. Her heartbeats spiked up, and her face instantly became red, and I heard an excited ’that’s an awesome move’ from Ellon. She tried to hide her flushed expressions with a cute glare but failed miserably.

"That’s not fair. First of all, if he accepted you, he doesn’t deserve a beating but a warm hug from his mate, and second, why did you beat me up for this tiny issue? I have already talked with Mia, and she doesn’t have issues with it," matt said while getting up from the ground. This surely distracted Aadhya from our closeness, and again her flushed face became normal.

"Yeah, like you will hear her. You let her mark you, you even mated with her, but still, you didn’t mark her. Don’t you think that she could have thought that you didn’t want to mark her because you are not interested in her’’ she turned towards him, forgetting the stick in my hand. I quickly threw it far away... {good, I didn’t want to get more beating} ...

"But that’s not the truth," Matt tried to reason with her.

"We all knew the truth, Matty. We all knew that after watching your mom’s condition deteriorate after your father’s death, you are not willing to mark Mia. You think that if you completed the mating process and something happened to you, then Mia will also be devastated" Matt didn’t say anything, but I could feel his sadness "grow up, matt. Your actions will shatter your relationship with your mate. Believe in your mate because if you do not believe her, then her belief in you will also end one day. Mate bond is nothing but shit if you can’t trust your soul mate" then she turned towards me.

"I trust you, but I am not going to accept you until I killed that beast who surely has some type of colour blindness," she said cutely, and I chuckled "there is nothing to laugh about this" she pointed towards her eyes "that stupid called me blue-eyed beauty. I accept that I am a beauty, but I am ’black-eyed beauty’ for god’s sake" Layla rolled her eyes at this and Ellon and matt chuckled.

"Or it can be a misunderstanding. Maybe he took you for someone else. This is also the reason that I am going to the council. I took your medical reports and DNA samples from uncle Anshuman, and we are planning to search about your parents while working on other cases," I explained, and she nodded but didn’t say anything.

"And as you are not looking angrier, I think we should go now," Layla said and transformed into her wolf ripping her clothes, and Ellon scolded her.

"You should not do this, love," he said and went behind trees and came after a few seconds in his wolf form.

"It’s time to go now," I told her, and she nodded and took a few steps backwards from me. I was about to give control to the King, but suddenly Aadhya jumped on me, and I grabbed her by her waist. She hugged me tightly, and I couldn’t believe that she was hugging me.

"Take care of everyone and Kill all those who deserve it. Don’t forget that we are waiting for you to come back in one piece," she said in one breath and cupped my left cheek with her right hand and softly placed her lips on my right cheek. As soon as her lips touched my cheek, I got so shocked that I even forgot that she was in the air and my hands that were on her waist were the only support that was holding her in the air. My hands became limp, and she fell on her butt with a loud thud and a painful groan. Lia started laughing... ’Do wolves look like this when they laugh?’ matt is trying hard to hold his laugh, and Ellon is just smirking.

"You fool", she shouted at me, and I instantly gave control to the King out of embarrassment and panic. I transformed into King, and aadhya glared at us... {Why did you always give me control whenever you do something embarrassing?} ... King went towards her, nudged her, and whined softly.

"It’s not your mistake, king," she told him and caressed the back of his ears and kissed his forehead "now go and tell Ryan that I am not letting him go easily after this fall," she told him, and with a lick, we sprinted towards the borders while I can feel Aadhya’s gaze on me until we were in her view... {I really don’t want to go, but I can’t neglect alpha duties, Chicky. But I promise that I will be back soon and surely in single piece}

Aadhya’s POV -

I badly wanted to run after him and tell him to take me with him, but I couldn’t forget about my family, that needed me the most.

"He will be a good mate," Matt said to me, and I hummed.

"I know, but it’s time for you to be a good mate, Matty, ’’ I told him and started walking towards the house.

"I don’t know, chubby. I don’t want her to suffer anything because of me," he explained and continued, "I know that she is not cool with it. I also know that she wanted me to mark her but what if I die someday."

"Everyone dies. It’s not something unusual. But in fear of death, you are not even letting her live her life to the fullest. If you are so concerned about her, then you should always take care of yourself on the battlefield; that’s the only thing that is reasonable to do. Not marking her is not the solution" I tried to make him understand.

"Promise me, if something happens to me, then you will take care of her," he told me, and I rolled my eyes.

"Sure, I will give your previous threesome offer to her so that she can’t miss you", he growled at this, and I couldn’t help but laugh at his foolishness.

"Don’t get panicked or enraged, Matty. Sadly, I am still straight," I told him, and finally, he smiled "now that’s all for today. I need to take Dee to Reed, and I am sure that my ex-mate will surely try to impress me. I just wanted to be near Dee right now."

"I can help you in that" he transformed into Milo, and I happily climbed on his back. He directly ran inside the house, and we heard Mia’s and Dee’s voices coming from the kitchen. We were about to go there when Ben, along with Lily and Ethan, came out of Ryan’s study. Ben rolled his eyes at us.

"No wolves inside the house, Milo. How many times do I have to say that?" Ben told Milo pointedly.

"I told him to take me inside. Sorry Ben," I told him and blinked my eyes innocently at him... {this always works} ... the pointed look on his face melted in seconds, and he smiled at me.

"Alright, but I am not scolding you only because you don’t know the rules," he said, and I nodded happily.

"Addy", I heard Dee’s voice and his little footsteps running towards me, so I got down from Milo. But as soon as he saw Milo, he stopped in his place and looked at him nervously. Till now, dee didn’t have any close interaction with wolves, and I think I should change it now. I went towards him, took him in my arms, and went near Milo. I could feel his hold getting tighter on me, but he didn’t say anything or cry.

"Dee, he is Milo, Matt’s wolf", I explained, and Dee is still looking nervous. Milo came nearer to us and licked Dee.

"Addy", at last, Dee shrieked in fear and hid his face into the nape of my neck... {Did you also remember the first time when mom and dad introduced you to their wolves for the first time?} I smiled, remembering the day and patted Milo’s head softly.

"He is Matt dee. He will never hurt you" Mia came from the kitchen and kissed his snout "for now, I have done the needed, but we need to go and keep an eye on the training. I am sure that Jack would have skipped the training for sure" Milo licked her, and she laughed and climbed on his back. "We should get going" I nodded, and they ran out of the room.

"Aadhya, will you give a pack’s tour to Ethan?" Ben asked me, and I could see Ethan’s smirk.

"Sorry, Ben, but I didn’t know much about the pack. I only visited a few places here, and I have so much work in the office also," I said to him, and he nodded.

"You joined office", Ethan was looking confused, "I thought you were a warrior."

"Well, Ethan, you have thought many things wrong about me." I snapped at him, and I could see Ben’s cocked eyebrow towards me and lily’s building interest in our talks. "Sorry for talking rudely with your guest, Ben, but I should get going now. I will go directly to the office after dropping dee at school. Can you please add your number on my mobile?" I gave him my mobile, and he added his number and gave my mobile back to me. I went towards my room and took a very quick bath, then packed Dee’s books and notebooks in his backpack and went downstairs. As Dee had already taken a bath and eaten his breakfast with Mia’s help, I didn’t have to do much.

I found Ben sitting on the sofa and reading something on his mobile phone while sipping some tea when we went downstairs. "We are going, Ben," I told him, and he got up from the sofa and went towards the kitchen. He came back with two lunch boxes which surprised both Dee and me.

"What is this?" I asked him, and he rolled his eyes.

"Food, don’t tell me that you guys live on sunlight", he teased, and I couldn’t help but smile at him, and Dee giggled.

"I will not let my kids starve while working so hard. Now here," he extended Ryan’s car key and bike key towards me, "Take any vehicle that you want. I will join you at the office in an hour or two, alright," he said in such a fatherly tone that I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed. I nodded, took the bike’s key from him, and went outside. "Wait", he came behind us with two helmets in his hand "you can’t forget this when you are going to ride a bike, here" he extended one to me and himself clasped another one on dee’s head "now call me when you reach the office, alright?" I again nodded, and after giving us a dazzling smile, he went inside the house. My emotions were so mixed up that I didn’t want to think about anything.

After dropping Dee at school, I went to the ’knights’ and truth be told; I can’t help missing Ryan. I messaged Ben that I had reached the office and went towards the twenty-first floor. I met Garry, and he looked agitated. "What happened, Garry?" I asked him, and he just avoided my question.

"Where is alpha ben? He told me he would come to the office," he asked me.

"He will be here in an hour or two", he cursed under his breath.

"Listen, Aadhya; I needed to go and talk with him in a very urgent matter. Would you be able to handle things here?" I shook my head negatively.

"First, tell me what the problem is, then you can go wherever you want" I can see his hesitancy, but, in the end, he sighed.

"Our two warriors got killed at Mr. Wilson’s today’s morning" this made my blood boil, but I didn’t say anything in this matter.

"I will take care of the office here. You can go" he took a relieved breath and ran away. How can that stupid man hide things from us when people are dying to save his life in this hell? I was about to go towards my office to calm myself when the door of the elevators opened, and Mr. Wilson entered the floor: he was looking furious. There are six wolves, including duke (the guy who lost his long deadlock because of me), who is accompanying him, but I can see they are suffering much. As he came a little near, I could smell wolfsbane on him, and I understood the reason for those suffering looks on warriors’ faces... {what the hell? He is using wolfsbane, which surely means that he knows about the werewolves}.

"Where is that stupid boss of yours?"... {I am going to rip him apart}... "Am I paying this much money to see the naked, ripped bodies of your incompetent bodyguards in the morning?" that’s it... now whatever is going to happen with him, I am not entirely responsible for it.

"He went out of the town, sir" I tried to calm the situation without hurting this asshole.

"Out of town" he came near me, clearly not respecting my personal space, and he was strongly reeking of the wolfsbane... {how did they even be able to come in the same elevator as him?}

"Can we talk about this matter calmly, Mr. Wilson? How about we go to Mr. Knight’s office" I suggested to him, and no matter how many tantrums he was throwing, he agreed to this.

"Follow me, you incompetent scumbags", he shouted at the warriors, and I could see at least four of them were trying hard to stop their wolves from taking control of their humans. We went inside Ryan’s office, and I locked the door from inside. Mr. Wilson has already taken the seat and is still throwing insults at the warriors and saying stupid things about Ryan.

"You know, sir, you are so unlucky today", he glared at me and shouted.

"I will sue your company. That boy doesn’t even know how to run a business, and you..." he seethed in anger. I went towards Ryan’s chair and sat on it calmly.

"You didn’t understand, Mr. Wilson. You are not unlucky because Ryan is not here to solve this issue" I leaned on the table with a smirk "you are unlucky because Ryan is not here to stop me from doing anything to you" I gave him a sinister smile, and that’s when I finally saw doubt in his eyes... {I have not even done anything. It is going to be thrilling}
