Chapter 53: Chapter 53 - Dangerous addy from my addy

I can’t help but feel nauseous. I ran towards the window and threw up. I felt two tiny hands rubbing my back after a few minutes and no matter how sick I feel remembering whatever Amara said, I am still happy that dee is safe.

"Go and find the person who shot that arrow" I heard Reed’s voice.

"Are you alright, addy?" he asked me in concern and removed the hairs from my face... {How can someone even think to hurt him?}... I looked at his neck and found a tiny burnt wound there.

"I think this is yours" Reed came towards me and extended one of my silver knives toward me... {She should have taken it from my room}... I nodded and took the knife from him. "Do you want some?" He extended a water bottle towards me which I accepted gladly.

"Thank you, Reed, for today. Can you mind link Ryan and tell him that the Amara is not Amara she is shira?" a few confused creases appeared on his forehead. I was about to explain more to him but his eyes became blurry and I knew that without questioning anything he did what I asked him to do.

"I informed him. He is asking if you can meet him at pack’s hospital. They took Shira there and he also asked me if you are fine. I informed him that you are fine. I have already sent the warriors behind whoever shot that arrow. I will inform Alpha about whatever we will find and I am sending her body to the mortuary", he said while pointing towards the dead body of Amara. I nodded, took Dee in my arms and stood up from my place. He encircled his arms around my neck and legs around my torso.

"I am going to take him with me today, Reed. Is anyone hurt? And where is Owen?" I asked him.

"No one’s hurt. She came through the window and today morning Owen fell on his face and broke his first tooth. So, he was in the medical wing that time" he answered.

"Ok, I am going" dee suddenly removed his hands from my neck, cupped my face and made me look at him.

"Wait, can we please take Owen with us, addy?" he asked me innocently and tilted his head cutely... {You need to ask Ryan first}

"How about we will first go and meet him? After that, I need to take permission from Alpha and if he will allow then we will take him with us" I told him and he nodded.

"You can’t take any kid with you without their parent’s permission and I think you are also forgetting that the kids are going to go on a trip. I think that Owen should rest for today." Reed said in an emotionless tone but I can’t help but agree with him. Dee is still looking at me in hope.

"He got a point, Dee," I told him and he pouted "come on, don’t act like this. Do you want Owen to be in pain when all the other kids will enjoy their trip?" I asked him and he sighed dramatically.

"Fine, let’s go." he again encircled his arms around my neck and put his head on my shoulder.

"Thanks, reed," I told him and with Dee’s help, I finally came out of the hostel. As soon as I stopped in front of Ryan’s bike Dee literally jumped from my arms.

"Careful Dee" I scolded him and put him down on the ground. His mouth is wide open in surprise.

"You came here on this" he was just continuously looking at the bike "Are we going back on this?" he is looking beyond excited... {obeviously he will be excited. You were also excited when you rode the bike for the very first time}

"Shit I forgot the helmet"... {it seems like I remembered it a lot later than I should have}... I took Dee and placed him on the bike while I sat behind him... {I can’t take the risk of making him sit behind me. What if he falls on the ground? Anyway, this is the first time that he is sitting on the bike}...

"Fine, hold the handle from here and don’t move a lot. Ok" I told him and he did the same while I started the bike and rode it to the hospital all the way at 30kmph. When I took him down, Dee had a wide toothy smile on his face. "You liked it, didn’t you?" I asked him and he nodded cheekily "let’s go" I extended my hand to take his hand in mine but he shook his head "what now?"

"Lift me up in your arms. I am hurt, addy. Did you forget this?" he asked me in a scolding tone and I can’t help but laugh... {I am still astonished that he is not crying because of that wound. I know it is not that serious but I do know that it is surely hurting him not that much but yes surely hurting him}... I took him in my arms and this time he didn’t encircle his arms around my neck but he was looking all around the place. I was about to go to the reception desk when I found Ben talking with Anshuman and going in a particular direction.

"Ben" I called for him and both of them stopped "Where is gramma? How is she?" The last question is more for Anshuman than for ben.

"Physically, she is alright but mentally not" this made me more confused and he sighed "She is in a coma. They have done something very strong to her brain. Wizardry, hypnosis, magic, weed I don’t know what it is but we can’t help. This is her fight now, if she wins, she will gain consciousness and if not then she will remain in a coma"

"Where are others?" I asked Ben this time.

"Pack borders. Ryan sent his warriors outside the pack for information and they confirmed we indeed are under attack when you sent the message but due to some reasons they retreated and didn’t even enter the pack.

"Why don’t you send this little kid with me? I am sure that he needed to put some medicine on that wound on his neck" Anshuman said this time and dee tightened his hold around me. {I want him to be in front of my eyes for now}

"How about, you will treat his wound in the cabin in which gramma is? I don’t want him to be far from me right now" Dee took a relieving breath on this and Anshuman nodded.

"Fine, let’s go there. Ryan would also be there in a few minutes now. Others will take care of the matter in hand" ben said and we followed him. When we entered the room I found her lying unconscious on the bed while a few machines were connected to her body. I placed Dee on the nearby stool and Anshuman went towards him. Dee is looking scared but he is trying hard to act like he is not a kid.

"You can tell him to stop if you will feel pain, Dee," I told him and he nodded nervously. I went towards gramma, she is looking extremely sick and weak, she has dark circles under her eyes, her hair is all grey now and she seems to lose a lot of weight... {Well, what did you expect? She was in dungeons and don’t forget those cut marks on her hands that you gave her}

"Sorry" I can’t help but feel guilty "I will kill that bastard, I promise gramma"

The door of the room opened and Ryan entered the room. As soon as he saw me he ran towards me and engulfed me in a bone-crushing body-squeezing hug and lifted me off my feet. "I am telling you last time, Chicky. One more stupidity, and you will be grounded for a month." I wriggled in his hold.

"I told you not to call me Chicky, Ryan", I whined, but his hold was still tight around me. "Ryan, I can’t breathe" he loosened his grip around me, and I took a much-needed breath.

"You are fine, right" he finally let me go and looked at me for any type of injury, and I rolled my eyes. We heard Dee’s giggle when Ryan’s focus shifted towards him. He dashed towards him in panic.

"What happened to him?" he asked Anshuman and raised dee from his stool, then sat on it and placed dee on his lap "What happened, champ?" he asked, clearly looking extremely worried.

"Nothing serious, alpha, just got a little injured in the fight" I was surprised to hear Dee’s words and his confidence... {it seemed like he indeed was taking his wound as a prize}

"Anything serious, uncle," he asked doctor Anshuman, and the doctor smiled at dee.

"Nothing serious, just a light scratch from a silver knife. I removed the silver from the wound, but as our little champ has not got his wolf till now, it will take a few days to heal the wound completely," he said and extended a lollipop towards him "that’s for being a good boy" Dee looked at me for permission. I nodded, and he happily took the lollipop from his hand and said a cute thank you.

"Did you know about Shira being Amara and Amara being Shira?" I asked Ryan, and he rubbed his temples.

"Yeah, we have gotten ourselves in some very serious shit this time."

"You had gotten yourself in some very serious shit when you decided to take me here in your pack. I was already in a mess from the time I was born. My parents were killed to save me, my gramma is in this condition because she wanted to save me, your pack is getting attacked because they wanted me, and today, they even dared to hurt my Dee" I am fed up with all this now.

"Don’t say anything if you are going to force me to send you somewhere where you will not be safe." I rolled my eyes at Ryan’s statement.

"Of course not. My parents and my gramma have sacrificed so much for me... only to save my life. I am not going to disappoint them, but I will surely kill that man for sure," I told him, and a cute smile came on Ryan’s face.

"Oh, finally, I got a thrilling case to work on," Ben said in excitement, and Anshuman rolled his eyes at this.

"Yeah, every serious case seems to be interesting to this fu**er," Anshuman said.

"Language, uncle," Ryan said sternly, and Dee was listening to everything very seriously.

"I think Dee and I should go home now. I am tired," I said, and Ryan stopped me.

"Did you forget that you have punishment to fulfil?" ... {he can’t be serious}.

"You can’t be serious, Ryan; I just helped your pack to stop a rogue attack", I pointed out, and he raised an eyebrow.

"They stopped themselves. You didn’t stop them." {Can I just please punch his handsome face?}

"They stopped because I foiled their plan by stopping Amara from reaching them with dee."

"They already had plan B also. They were planning to ambush the bus in which kids are going for the trip."

"How do you know that?"

"We caught the men who shot Amara."

"Is he alive?" he didn’t say anything about this. "don’t tell me that you have killed that man."

"It’s not my mistake, ok? He is one of the rogues. I was already frustrated that you rode the bike without even wearing a helmet and that Shira and Amara confusion, and then that assassination of Amara, and then that stoppie.. wait, why were you doing stunts without wearing a helmet?" he stood up and put dee on the stool and towered above me... {the nerve of this man}.

"So, what... being irritated is not a reason to kill anyone."

"That man was a rogue."

"He should have some information about that beast", I shouted in irritation.

"He didn’t have any other information. Are you questioning my interrogating skills?" he is looking irritated now. "I am the alpha..." before he completed that annoying sentence, I poked my finger on his chest, and he took a step backwards.

"Don’t you dare" I again poked my finger on his chest, and he again took a few steps back. "Don’t you dare to use that alpha king card against me. I will not tolerate any kind of your ego satisfaction lines anymore." he fell on the sofa that was placed against the wall as he was constantly moving behind, and I put my left leg on the sofa at his right side. "Use that line one more time in front of me, and I will kick that pretty ass of yours. Did you understand?" I don’t know what got into me, but I am glad that I behaved like that. He gulped audibly and nodded.

"Woah", I heard two woah’s at the same time, and that’s when my attention went towards the other three people that were present in the room. Ben and Anshuman were sitting on the floor on either side of the dee, both of them were covering Dee’s ears with one hand, and all three of them were eating chocolates while listening to our conversation with utmost interest.

"What are you doing?" I asked three of them and turned towards them while Ryan cleared his throat, got up from the sofa, and stood beside me.

"You are awesome," Ben said in awe, and Anshuman nodded.

"Did addy say any bad word?’’ Dee removed both of their hands, and they shook their heads negatively. "I knew it," he looked at me proudly.

"No, but we can take precautions. The way she looked mad, I was positive that she was going to curse some wonderful words" this was Anshuman.

"I was trying to make him shut his mouth like this for a long time now. Finally, you did this" Ben wiped his imaginary tears dramatically.

"You should know that we can’t make her mad, Alpha. She becomes a dangerous addy from my addy," Dee said as if that was a rule, "but it’s alright, you don’t know the rules till now. Here," he took a chocolate from his pocket, jumped from the stool, and ran towards Ryan "Take this. You are a big boy, don’t cry. Addy didn’t mean to hurt you. She just becomes mad whenever someone tries to control her every time" he placed the chocolate in his hand and came towards me.

"You should not be so strict, addy. He was trying to protect you," he said to me and waited for me to acknowledge him... {Only Dee has the power to make me speechless}

I took a few deep breaths and smiled at him, "Sorry". I said to Ryan, and Dee looked at him in hope, but when he didn’t say anything, I looked at him. He has the same expressions as a lost puppy who doesn’t know what to do. I can’t help but smile at his expression "he needs you to say sorry" when I said this, he instantly said sorry, and dee seemed to be content with all this.

"That’s like my’’ he stopped for a minute and thought deeply, "Addy, what’s the word you used in school," he asked me.

"Guardian?"

He nodded, and his eyes twinkled. "Yes, that’s like my guardians," he said and hugged both of our legs, and Ryan looked at me in question... {he was looking overwhelmed} ...

"You can’t ignore his love now," I said to him, and I heard someone sniffling. I looked at Ben and found Anshuman and him both wiping their imaginary tears... {why am I feeling content while being with all of them?}

"Moon goddess, please keep both of them safe", I heard Dee’s voice, but what startled me was that he didn’t say anything. I looked at Ryan in question and found him already looking at me in horror... {Did he just mind-linked us?}

"Dee, look at me," I told him, and he raised his head towards us, and both of us gasped as Dee’s grey eyes turned hazel and are glowing.
