Chapter 28: Chapter 28 - Lily

I can feel the volcano of emotions bursting within me - anger, jealousy, possessiveness, irritation, pain, betrayal, and some that I can’t even know, but I do know one thing very clearly, and that is... I DON’T HAVE ANY RIGHT TO SAY ANYTHING IN THIS CASE... {why don’t I have a right? I am his mate. She is the one who doesn’t have any right and is clinging on to him} ... I shook my head to remove these thoughts and tightened the hold around Dee’s hand. I looked at Alpha, who still had stern expressions, but I could see a little softness in his eyes.

"Behave, Lily," he suddenly said sternly, but she didn’t even flinch. She started sobbing more loudly and clutched him harder.

"I love you, Ryan, don’t send me back," she said while sobbing... {Can I go somewhere?}

"Don’t make me use my authority over you, Lily," he said in a deadly calm voice, making me question his relationship with her. The way she is clutching him or expressing her love clearly shows that she had been in a romantic relationship with him in the past, but then why is he not reciprocating similarly... {maybe he is in the alpha mode now} ...

"You can send me the location of that training school alpha. I would take care of other things in Dee’s matter" I interrupted them and tried to be normal, but I couldn’t help if it came out a little harsher than I had expected. As soon he looked at me, I turned my gaze from him... {don’t look at him} ...

I felt a sudden urge to look at him, and it took all my whole strength not to look at him because I knew if I looked at him, then he would surely be able to see the turmoil of emotions swirling in my mind.

"Addy, what is happening to me?" Dee’s scared voice took my attention away from all this. When I looked at him, he was baring his neck and looking at Alpha. That’s when I finally realized that Alpha was using his command. I looked around and found everyone looking at Alpha and baring their necks. I eventually turned my gaze towards him and felt a little relief as that girl was also baring her neck for him and was a few steps away from him.

"In the car, Aadhya, now," he said in full authority, and I looked at him.

"But we..." I was about to complete my sentence when he gave me a deathly glare, and I gulped... {this was the first time I felt intimidated by him} ... I just nodded and opened the door for dee... "Lily, Ellon will deal with your matter," I heard him saying to the girl. Then he turned and looked at me. "I am not going to repeat Aadhya," he said with a glare, and without wasting a single second, I jumped on the passenger seat and fastened my seat belt.

He slid into the driver’s seat and didn’t even glance at her. Finally, with a last glare toward me, he started driving. We reached the school after a few minutes, and no matter how much I wanted to ignore it, I think I had to think about the expenses seriously... {yeah, dude, just look at the size of this school} ... He parked the car in the parking lot, opened the door for Dee, and took his hand in his large ones... "Ready, champ?" he asked, and Dee nodded nervously. We took the elevators and reached in front of the principal’s cabin. He knocked on the door but didn’t wait for a reply and entered the room.

"Good morning, Alpha. I was expecting you," the principal said and got up from his seat.

"Good morning. I hope that Mia or Matt have already talked with you," he said, and the principal nodded.

"Yes, Alpha, all the arrangements are done. Diego can start school from tomorrow. His stay is arranged in the school hostel, and he has to share his room with another kid. Parents and guardians can come to meet children on weekends, but no meetings are allowed on weekdays except emergency." he explained, looking at me, and I nodded. Then he took a form from the table and extended it towards me "you have to fill this form first, and after it, I suggest you shift his belongings in the hostel by today evening itself. He is already lagging behind other kids by almost a month, so it would be good if he would start soon" I nodded in silence and started filling the details in the form.

When I had to fill in the guardian’s name, I halted and looked at Alpha. He cocked an eyebrow in question, and I bit my lip in hesitation. "Will it be safe for Dee if I fill my name in the guardian’s column?" I asked him, and he looked at me blankly.

"Everything that you will fill in this form is confidential," the principal assured me, and after that, I filled out all the details and passed the form to the principal. He took the form from me, went through it, and then nodded "can I help you with something else, alpha?" he asked.

Alpha shook his head and stood from his place "nothing for now, but I have to say that sir... you are taking good care of the children" as soon as he complimented him, I saw an instant smile come on the principal’s face, and he looked as if he would surely jump in happiness.

"Thank you, Alpha," he contained his happiness and replied in an almost calm tone... {he is surely going to do a happy dance later}

Alpha nodded and took Dee’s hand in his "thank you, sir," I told the principal, and he nodded. We exited the cabin and took the elevators.

"When we will reach the room, you have to pack your stuff, champ," Alpha said to dee, and I rolled my eyes... {How can a five-year-old pack his stuff on his own?}

"His suitcase is already packed, alpha," I told him, and he nodded without looking at me... {is he ignoring me?}

After dropping us at the hostel, he went towards his house without saying a single word to me. Dee and I went to our room, and again I saw that many girls came out of their rooms when we were going to our room, but when they didn’t find Alpha, they went inside their rooms with disappointment.

As soon as we entered the room, Dee removed his shoes and put them in the corner. He jumped on the bed and spread his hands and legs like a starfish. I also mirrored his actions and lay beside him, instantly, he hugged me from the side. "You are going to be fine there, right dee?" I asked him.

"I am a big boy, addy," he pouted, and I chuckled.

"If anyone will bully you, then no need to think twice before giving a befitting reply. I will take care of the other matters" as soon as I said this, he looked at me pointedly.

"Fighting is bad, addy," he said, and I rolled my eyes.

"But getting beaten up is the worst," I said as I remembered the bitter memories of the blue moon.

"Don’t worry about me, addy. I will not allow anyone to bully me," he said in seriousness, and I hummed on this. We stayed like this for some time but then we both stood as we had to pack everything.

"Do you think that others will make fun of me if I take pappy with me?" he asked me while his eyes were fixed on pappy.

"I don’t know," I told him truthfully, and his face fell. "But if you want to take him with you, then there is no need to think about what others will think," I assured him, and after a few minutes, he put pappy along with his other bags.

After we had packed all his stuff, he sat on the bed looking a little scared and nervous, but I didn’t think that was something to get worried about, but still, there was one essential thing he should do. I took his parent’s photo from his bag and sat beside him.

"Don’t you think you should tell your parents about everything?" I suggested and extended their photo towards him. He took the photo hesitantly from me. He looked at it and then at me as if I had grown two heads.

"I knew they couldn’t hear me addy. I am not a kid," he said, and I chuckled at this... {yeah, my five-year-old little man}

"I have not suggested this because I think you are a kid, dee, but because they have every right to know about this," I told him with a smile. He looked at the photo hesitantly "go on, dee, I also do this many times, and I do feel good after that" as soon as I said this, he looked at the photo in thoughtfulness, "How about I will go and talk to Alpha about few things about your stay? Till then, you can tell your parents everything... and if you want, then you can also complain about me," I said the last part in a whisper, and this made him smile. I stood and went out of the room.

Now when I am outside, I think I don’t have any reason to go to Alpha. So, I went to Layla’s place first, but her house was locked. Then I went to Matt’s place and found the same. I thought for a few moments, then finally decided that the woods were the best place to find some peace. So, I walked towards the edge of the woods and climbed the nearest tree, which was dense enough to hide me and had thick branches enough to sit comfortably.

{Moon Goddess is again playing games with me} ... I thought bitterly as I reminded myself of the scene from this morning... {why does she have to give me mates who are already in love with someone else?} ... I can’t say about love, but Alpha surely has a soft spot for that girl and the way she is hugging him. I can’t stop myself from believing that they were surely in love with each other... {damn, I hate to come between two persons who loved each other without even having a bond} ... I groaned in irritation as I remembered what had happened to me in Ethan’s case.

The Moon goddess seriously has some personal grudge against me. First, she decided that I would be better left without my parents and grandma, then she gifted me in these eerie nightmares, then rejection, and even after that, she was not satisfied, so she gave me another mate ... again with a beloved, and this time I can’t accept his rejection by understanding that it’s alright I was better off without him because Alpha is so good with me till now. It would have been better if I had died in that vampire attack.

I shook my head to remove those stupid thoughts and cursed myself... {gramma sacrificed her wolf for my life, and here I was thinking all this shit... no, Aadhya, you are stronger than that, and how can I even think of this for some boys... nope, never} ... I said to myself, and to keep myself busy, I took the silver knife, which was tied around my calf, and looked at its sharpness, and then I remembered the vampires who attacked us back at Amara. This was the first time I looked at my knives with a little doubt... {I don’t think even my silver knives can help me if someone has a gun with him. They don’t even need a gun with silver bullets to kill me. Just a normal gun and a single shot are enough to take me down... I think I need additional weapons} ... I nodded to this and placed the knife securely around the belt tied to my calf... {I need to find some work soon... new weapons and Dee’s fee will be costly... I know my savings are enough for now, but I can’t depend on my savings for a long time} ... I took a deep breath and jumped from the tree on the ground.

As soon as I jumped, I heard a shriek. I was also not expecting this, so I also stumbled and fell on my butt.
