Chapter 22: Chapter 22 - We know you like to talk with us

I have fought earlier, but today I am nowhere near confident. Maybe it is because today I have to fight with someone who is my blood relative. As soon as the thought of hurting Amara came into my mind, I felt myself getting weak. I shook my head to remove all these thoughts and steadied myself. Suddenly I was pulled backward, and a huge hand covered my mouth while another clutched both of my hands in a firm grip. I would have panicked, but as soon as I felt the tingles, I instantly knew he was the alpha king.

"Don’t shout, don’t scream, and don’t attack," he whispered in my ear and slowly removed both hands.

"How can you fall asleep like that? You are the fucking alpha king," I hissed in anger and turned toward him, but as soon I looked at him, I regretted every word I said. He is looking at me with amusing expressions and what caused me to nearly piss in my pants is his eyes that are now light green... {fool, you are dead now. How can you insult the alpha king like that, especially his wolf? But forget all that. Can I adore his eyes for a few hours} ... I stumbled backward and was about to fall when he snaked his arm around my waist and steadied me. "Alpha, sorry, that’s not what I meant. I was just..." before I said something, he shushed me and put his finger on my lips... {he should really stop}

"Later, mate, first I have to deal with something important. Stay here," he ordered, and I didn’t have any option other than nodding. He turned towards the door and took a step.

"Three people are there except Amara. I have seen their shadows in the greenhouse but heard only three pairs of footsteps coming inside, of which one is Amara... I think their one partner would be hiding somewhere. They are laced with guns, be careful," I whispered, and he turned towards me, gave me an appreciating nod, and went out of the room. It’s not like I do not believe in the alpha king’s strength, but still, I can’t put my knives back when lives are at stake. I was still standing in a defensive stance with all my senses working at their best when the alpha king entered the room after five minutes... {his wolf was still in control.}

"You were right. There were three vampires. They used Aunt Amara’s herbs to conceal their scent and were also carrying guns with silver bullets." I looked at him in shock, and he continued, "Well, they are taken care of now. I can’t hurt Aunt Amara. My human and I both are attached to her. Not only has she saved our lives, but she also has helped the crescent moon many times, but after what she has done today, we can’t let her live freely here, so she is coming with us in our pack. My human will take care of her. Do you have more questions?" he asked as if there was nothing to ask about. I opened and closed my mouth like a fish... {It’s only been five minutes, for god’s sake, dude, I am still in my defensive stance, and he is telling me that he has taken care of everyone... wait, he didn’t have a single blood strain on his t-shirt.}

"Don’t you think your t-shirt is spotless for the one who has fought with four supernatural creatures just now? Or are you kidding me?" I asked him, and he chuckled.

"Well, my human is very picky about cleanliness. We only get stained in blood when we get beyond mad, and we don’t want you to know that side of ours right now" before I said or asked something, he stopped me "listen, mate, we know that you are curious and like to talk with us, but right now we think that it will be best for yours and Diego’s safety that we hit the road. We have to reach the crescent moon as fast as we can. We know that Aunt Amara is very powerful and as she is associated with vampires and other witches, I don’t think we should stay here for long." Everything he said registered in my brain except that ’mate’ word that directly entered my heart.

I ignored everything and focused on the safety of Dee. I took Dee in my arms, and Alpha led us to another room. As soon as I entered the room, I internally thanked the moon goddess that dee was still sleeping. Three dead bodies of vampires were there, and all of their necks were broken while an unconscious Amara was lying on the floor with her hands and feet tied with a rope. "I don’t think a rope can stop her when she is a witch and werewolf hybrid," I told him, and he nodded.

"We generally use silver cuffs in our dungeons, but we don’t have them here," he said, and I took a deep breath.

"Wolf’s bane also works fine; I guess" I took Dee’s spray bottle from my pocket and extended it towards him. "I don’t know if it works on witches or not, but it surely does have an awesome effect on wolves" he was amused at first, but when he looked at the spray, he smirked.

"You should look at the guns of these vampires. I think you are going to like those," he said and pointed towards the table where three guns were lying.

"I don’t use weapons that are not made of silver and don’t spray wolf’s bane on her now. You have to put her in the car first. If you spray it now, then you would not be able to pick her up, don’t forget that you were also a wolf, Alpha," I scolded him, and he chuckled.

"I know my human has already told you, but still, we both like to repeat this. ’We are alpha king for a reason, Aadhya,’" he said, making me smile.

"So, wolf’s bane doesn’t affect you," I concluded, taking silver bullets from the guns, and stuffed them in my pocket.

"It does affect me, but you have to give us a very high dose," he said cockily and sprayed half of the bottle on her body. "Now, I don’t think she will get up before we reach the crescent moon," he said and picked Amara in his arms. "let’s go."

"I will be back in a minute. Till then, you should put her on the passenger seat in front," I told him, and without waiting for his reply, I ran into the same room where Dee was sleeping earlier. I took a photograph of my gramma with Amara and their parents and ran out of the house towards the car. Alpha had already placed her on the passenger seat, fastened her seat belt, and was waiting for us. When I got there, he took dee from my arms and put the car keys and his mobile in my hand.

"Aunt Amara’s medicines are very strong, so as soon as I give control to my human, I don’t think he will be able to drive. I like to run, but I can’t leave you alone, so use his mobile for directions." I nodded, and he went to the back seat with dee. I sat in the driver’s seat and looked at the Alpha in the rearview mirror.

"Can’t you stay in control till Alpha... I mean, your human got his senses back completely?" I asked him, and he looked at me and smiled.

"I can’t. If I am in control, then I can’t control my aura; only my human can do that. This will make it easy for others to track us down," he explained, and I took a deep breath and nodded "don’t worry, baby girl, I am the king of werewolves. Even if I was not in control, I am not going to let anyone hurt you or Diego especially when both of you are under my security," he said and despite the fuzzy feeling, I glared at him.

"I am not a baby, alpha," he laughed and fanned his hand in dismissal.

"Drive, baby girl, we have to reach the crescent moon soon" before I said something, he closed his eyes.

I rolled my eyes and started driving. After an hour Dee woke up and I gave him my mobile to keep him busy... {there was no need to tell him about all the things that happened in that house} ... after four hours finally we reached the borders of the crescent moon, and I parked the car on the side. I knew that the alpha king was with us, but neither the warriors of the crescent moon knew that he was in this car, nor would they be able to feel his aura. "Dee, sweetheart, can you please wake him up?" As soon as I told this, the alpha king opened his eyes.

"No need, Diego, I am already awake," he told him, and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"How long have you been awake?" I asked him, and he looked outside.

"I heard you singing all the songs that you have sung till now in the last four hours," he said, and I glared at him.

"Can you please inform your pack that we are entering the borders?" I told him, and he looked at me through the rearview mirror, and I rolled my eyes. "I am a rogue alpha. They will not let me enter" he cocked an eyebrow, and I felt him releasing his aura... {this will indeed work...}

"Use the map, Aadhya and drive towards my house," he said, and I huffed... {bossy much}

"I am not your driver," I mumbled and started driving. For a few minutes, we drove through the very narrow road, and on either side, dense woods surrounded us, and if I am not wrong, I could see the shadows moving in the woods along with us. I turned right towards a dirt track, and after driving three kilometers from there, we again entered a proper-built road that led us to a settlement... {It’s not just a settlement. It is more like a perfectly planned colony with well-built houses.}

"Stop at the third house from here," Alpha said to me, and I nodded. As soon as I parked the car, the alpha king stepped out and stretched his arms. I also exited the vehicle and heard Dee close his side of the door with a thud.

"I have never seen someone getting tired of sitting and sleeping in a car," I grumbled, and Alpha looked at me.

"I also have not seen someone behave so grumpily only because of driving" I narrowed my eyes at him, and he rolled his eyes. "I was not in the mood to listen to your talks or answer your unending questions."

"Ungrateful brat" as soon as these words escaped my lips, he looked at me in surprise.

"I heard that"

"Good, mission accomplished," I said to him and looked around us. We are standing in front of a beautiful two-story house. "Is this your house?" I asked him, and when he did not answer me, I looked at him and found him already looking at me. "What?"

"You are looking disappointed," he said, and I shrugged.

"Not disappointed, just surprised." I paused for a minute and finally found myself laughing at my imagination. "I was expecting some kind of castle, many servants running around you to serve you, many expensive cars parked in your parking lot or something like that," I said and looked at him "now I think that was stupid," I smiled at him, and he nodded.

"That still is," he said and took a deep breath, "and now, before discussing that mate thing and all that has happened in Aunt Amara’s house, I would like to send her in dungeons first," he said to me, and for a few seconds his eyes became blurry, and I waited patiently like a good girl.

"Are you seriously sending her into dungeons?" I asked him as soon as his eyes became normal.

"I don’t like people lying or attacking my pack members or me," he said seriously.

"Why is he sending your grandma in dungeons, addy?" I got startled by Dee’s question because I had completely forgotten about him being here... {Why is it hard to tell kids the harsh truth of life?}

"Well, dee, she is not my gramma. She is her twin sister" dee looked confused, so I finally decided to tell him the little truth. "She is not a good person," I told him, and he looked towards the car and then at me.

"Did she try to hurt you, addy?" he asked me nervously, and I nodded.

"But everything is alright now, and I want you to keep your distance from this lady," I told him seriously, and he nodded. I turned towards Alpha. "So..." but I was cut off.

"Chubby," "bitch". As soon as I heard these two words, I turned in the direction from which the sound had come. Instantly my eyes landed on the two most special persons in my life. They were a good hundred meters from us, but thanks to my new senses, I could hear their whispers from here.

"Finally, I met my bitches" I whispered and saw them smirking. Suddenly their smirks wiped off their faces, and within seconds Lia and milo were standing in their places "and here are my sweethearts." I said, and without thinking, I started to run towards them at full speed. Both of them howled with joy and ran towards me when we were maybe three or four steps apart. I jumped towards them, and suddenly my body was surrounded by the fur of two wolves, and all three of us fell to the ground with a thud.
