Chapter 17: Chapter 17 - Good bye

"Are you sure this happened?" he asked, and I nodded. He stood from his place, and his eyes became unfocused for a second "pack your things fast. We are leaving for the crescent moon in an hour," he commanded.

"What about vampi--" he didn’t even let me complete my sentence and took the bag from the cupboard and started putting everything he found in the bag.

"I will send someone here. Ellon and Mia, along with their mates or anyone, will handle the situation here... I am packing Diego’s stuff, go and pack yours," he said, but I couldn’t help getting excited when he talked about matt and Layla.

"Matt and Layla were coming here?" I asked him in excitement while he was packing everything at lightning speed, and Dee was running behind him while putting all his toys in the bag that was in alpha king’s hand. "Can I meet them, please? I have not seen them in three months," I again asked him, but he ignored me and continued his work. Within fifteen minutes, everything in Dee’s room is stuffed in two bags while Alpha is holding Dee’s pappy in his hand. He looked at me in irritation and then looked at dee.

"Is she always this ignorant?" he asked, and Dee nodded seriously. I glared at both of them, and he looked at Dee, "take me to her room," before I thought or understood something. Both of them went to my room, and I ran behind them.

"You can’t enter a girl’s room like that," I shouted behind them, and when I reached there, an empty suitcase was already in Alpha’s hand, and my cupboard was open, and both of them were stuffing things in that suitcase.

"Can anyone tell me what stupidity you two are doing? Have you both heard a word called ’manners’?" I was shouting behind them, but they were doing a great job of ignoring me... {jerks}... As soon as the Alpha put his hand on the knob of my undergarment’s drawer, "not that one alpha......" I shouted in horror, and to my great relief, he stopped. He removed his hand from the knob as if it was burning and took a step backward while Dee looked at us in confusion. He put the bag on the floor and took Dee’s hand in his. He cleared his throat awkwardly "pack your belongings. I am going to Alpha Aiden’s to inform him about our departure, and Dee is with me," he said and ran out of the room.

"What have you expected, stupid Alpha? Entering a girl’s room like that," I mumbled and groaned. I did not have many belongings, so my bags were packed within twenty minutes. I took my mobile and messaged Beth, Mr. and Mrs. Black, and Mrs. Davis about our departure. After a few minutes, someone knocked on the door, and Dee came inside.

"Have you packed everything, addy?" he asked, and the alpha king came after him. He was taking cautious steps inside my room and took a relieved breath when he saw my packed suitcase.

"We should go now," he said and took Dee’s suitcases in either of his hands.

"No need, alpha. I will take my luggage," Dee said to Alpha, and Alpha nodded.

"You should take this," he said and gave the pappy to Dee. "You know it is a soft toy, and you must handle him with care. I am giving you the responsibility of pappy, don’t disappoint me, young man," he said to him and went outside. Dee looked at pappy with so much determination, then hugged him and went outside, taking cautious steps... {he does understand how to fool kids} ... I shook my head and took my suitcase with me and followed them. We stopped in front of the pack house where the ranking wolves and Mrs. Davis were waiting for us.

As soon as I went there, Mrs. Black hugged me. "You are late in informing me, Aadhya," she said in a heavy voice and finally let me go.

"I didn’t know anything till this morning, Mrs. black," I told her, and she nodded sadly.

"Take care, and if you ever find yourself in a tough spot or in any problem, don’t forget that we are always there to support you" I always felt that I gave her a little credit, but she is the nearest to mother figure that I have in my life.

"This applies to you too," I told her, and she smiled. Next is Mrs. Davis, who is still hugging Dee while crying. I hugged both of them, and she caressed my cheek.

"I hate when my kids leave me and move away," she said, and I didn’t have any words to counter her statement or say something comforting to her, so I hugged her tight. Now I just wanted to exit this pack as soon as possible because I couldn’t hold my tears back for much time. I looked at the alpha king who was waiting for us in front of his car, and our bags were already loaded in it.

"I will call you daily, Mrs. Davis," Dee told her, kissing her cheek, and she smiled a little. I can’t help but feel bad for her but still, we have to move from here.

"I hope that you will forgive me for all these years of bitter behavior towards you," Beth told me and extended her hand, which I shook gladly.

"It’s alright," I said and whispered, "I will surely give our hello to Matt." I teased her, and she rolled her eyes playfully. Then I took Dee’s hand in mine, and we walked towards the alpha king where he was talking with Mr. Black, or I should say that Mr. Black was whispering something to him.

"Now two of my daughters are under your protection, alpha king. I know you are far stronger than me, but I am hoping that you will not underestimate the power of a father if anything unpleasant happens with his daughters" if I was emotional earlier, then I can’t even say what I am feeling right now. I blinked back my tears and smiled at Mr. Black.

He hugged me and kissed my forehead. "You will not forget about this old man, will you?" he said, and I shook my head while hiding my tears which had already left the corners of my eyes and strained my cheeks. I wiped them quickly and smiled at everyone.

"We should go now," the alpha king said, and we nodded. I opened the back door for Dee, and he hopped inside. Then I again smiled at everyone and was about to open the passenger side door when someone grabbed my hand and pulled me to him. I was shocked at first, but when my eyes met with Ethan’s, I pushed him and stumbled backward, but something warm and comforting came instantly behind me and saved me from falling.

"You can’t leave me, Aadhya... you are my mate," Ethan growled. As soon as these words left his lips, a loud piercing growl came from the comforting thing still holding me, and I shivered.
