Chapter 15: Chapter 15 - Alpha king

Suddenly the same black wolf came out of the bushes, and I took a deep breath. Dee was still behind me, and I could still feel his fear. I turned towards him and hugged him. "It’s alright," I told him, and he looked behind me at the wolf... {this wolf seriously needed to stop appearing like that}

I let Dee go and looked at the wolf "you don’t have to come like that every time," I told him, and he smirked. "No need to be scared, dee, he is just..." I stopped and thought hard... {I don’t even know who he is?} ... "Can you please change in your human form?" He ignored me and sat on the ground a few steps away from us. I sighed in irritation "come on, dee, let’s sit somewhere else. I already had my share of adventures in the last two days," I told him, and the wolf scoffed while dee nodded. We went a little away from him and were about to sit when we heard the howling of several wolves, and this instantly made me smile while Dee looked confused.

"What was that addy?" he asked me, and I ruffled his hair.

"This is the ’howl of joy’ dee. It means that several wolves found their mates, and they howled at the moon goddess to thank her for blessing them with their mates," I explained, and as always, curiosity and excitement could be seen in his eyes.

"Do I also have a mate addy?" he asked excitedly, and I nodded.

"Yeah, every werewolf has a mate" as soon as he heard that, a huge smile came on his face, but soon he got confused.

"Does that mean that you don’t have a mate?" he asked, and I nodded, but before he asked any more questions, I got up from my place.

"Let’s go home, dee. I think Mrs. Davis will allow us to eat our food now," I told him, and he also stood from his place and took hold of my hand. We were about to walk away when I noticed something and stopped near that black wolf sitting silently on the ground.

"Excuse me," I told him, and he looked at me. "Did you save me yesterday?" I asked him, and he shook his head negatively. I took a deep breath and nodded "ok, good night, alpha king" I turned to walk away when I heard the cracking of bones... {it seemed like he changed in his human form...}

"Can you tell me where I can find clothes?" he asked in his sexy voice, and I gulped.

"You can find some on the fourth tree to your right," I told him.

"I will be back in a minute. I would like it if you would wait," he said, and I heard him moving towards the tree. I don’t have any problems with werewolves. I know they are well-trained and sculptured creatures, but I am still not interested in looking at them in baby suits.

"You can turn now," I heard his voice and footsteps coming towards us. "How do you know it’s me? My wolf and I don’t even share the same eye color," he asked, and I shrugged.

"I couldn’t smell your scent when we met a while ago, and the same happened with your wolf too. You are the first person I met who doesn’t have a scent," I told him, and he smirked.

"I am trained to hide my scent," he told me, and I nodded, "but you also have no scent," he pointed.

"Yeah, but I was not trained as I am not a werewolf," I told him, and he nodded. I didn’t explain further as he didn’t ask.

"I was right then," he said after a few minutes, and I raised an eyebrow.

"You do have wolf senses, or you would have never found out that I have no scent," he said, and I cursed under my breath... {if you want to hide your senses, then you have to be cautious...}

"I would love it if you kept this secret, alpha," I told him, and he nodded.

"I am not telling them anything, but if they think a human can fight a vampire or wolf without any senses, then they surely are in extreme need to have some brains," he said, and I gave him a pointed look.

"I have killed a vampire and a werewolf even before getting my senses, alpha," I told him and bowed a little "good night," I told him and walked away with dee, but he also came with us and kept walking.

"So, what have you decided, Diego?" he stopped and explained when Dee looked at him in confusion "about your training?" he asked, and Dee looked at me. I nodded and encouraged him to talk with him.

"I have not thought about it, alpha king," Dee told him, and alpha king nodded.

"With your permission, can I ask you something, alpha?" I told him, and he laughed loud, and I again had to take deep breaths to calm my heartbeats. I raised my eyebrow in question.

"That would suit the condition when you have not asked anything before without permission, Aadhya"... {he should not say my name}. I nodded.

"Why were you not in mate ball?" I paused and looked at him again... {he must be mated, or the council would have never made him the alpha king, and obviously, he is looking as if he would be around 26 or 27.} ... "Or maybe you should be with your mate," I told him, and he smiled and shook his head.

"I like to be in peaceful places," he said, and I nodded... {he did not say anything about his mate} ... after a few minutes, we reached the orphanage, and he was still with us.

"Can we help you with something, alpha?" I asked him, and he shook his head.

"No, I just wanted to be sure that both of you reached your destination safely," he said, and I looked at him in shock... {no one has ever done this for dee or me} ... "Now I can say good night," he said but did not move from his place "now go inside so I can go to sleep too," he said, and before his words had a greater impact on me, I quickly went inside, and dee also followed me with his tiny feet. We went to the kitchen, and I heated the food while Dee sat on the slab, thinking about something. I served the food for both of us, and we sat at the table.

"What are you thinking, Dee?" I asked him.

"Alpha king is a good man," he said, and I looked at him in amusement. Dee is a simple five-year-old pup, but he never liked or complimented someone this easily. Even in my case, he took almost a week to even talk with me normally, and in alpha king’s case, in only two meetings, he is saying that man is good.

"What made you think that?" I asked him casually, and he shrugged.

"He didn’t talk with me rudely," he said as if this would explain everything. I smiled but did not say anything... {I don’t think I should interfere in his thoughts} ... we ate our food, and then after Dee’s night story, I came into my room, took painkillers, and lay on the bed. I didn’t have to wait for sleep today as I slept as soon as my head hit the pillow.

I was sleeping peacefully when the annoying voice of my ringtone woke me up. I took my mobile in a sleepy state and received the call.

"Hello" I knew my voice was grumpy, but you can’t expect someone to be cheerful or in the right state of mind when you called this early in the morning.

"You have to come at pups training ground right now, addy," I heard Beth’s voice, and before I asked anything, she completed her sentence, "I don’t have time to explain; it’s about dee."
