Chapter 14: Chapter 14 - Alpha training for dee?

As soon as I saw the person, my jaw nearly hit the floor. I have already accepted that werewolves are naturally beautiful creatures, but the man standing before me can fail every werewolf on this planet in looks. I can’t call him handsome because this single word is not sufficient to justify his beauty. If the moon goddess were not a lady, then I would have believed that he was the moon god himself.

He has pitch black eyes and long black hair, which is tied in a bun. His perfectly styled beard is unable to hide his sharp jawline and a pair of very kissable lips. His height must be 6’2" or 6’3". He is wearing a plain T-shirt, but still, I can point to his abs with even his clothes on, and let’s not focus on those hard biceps.

I have been with high-ranking wolves many times, but I never felt the urge to bow to anyone till today. I tried to turn my gaze from him, but I felt like I was in a trance. He is looking at me without blinking, his facial expressions are blank, but I can see a little confusion in his eyes. I don’t know why I did that, but I gave him a little bow, and to my surprise, he also did the same, instantly, his expression changed to that of surprise for a few seconds, which he covered immediately... {I guess he is also surprised by his actions} ... I turned my gaze from him and found dee looking at that man in fear. I went towards him and took his hand in mine while Beth bowed to that man and went in another direction, telling him that she had some work to do. Ethan is still in his wolf form and is still looking mad. Alpha Aiden didn’t say anything to the man but gave a pointed look to Ethan. After glaring at me the last time, he ran into the woods.

I gave them a last bow without looking at either of them, but before I went inside, Alpha Aiden stopped me. "Aadhya, I wanted you to meet the Alpha king Ryan" I looked at the man, and now I could understand the reason behind his dominant aura and his looks; another thing that is different about him that I just noticed is ’I am unable to smell his scent.

"Nice to meet you, Alpha," I said with a low bow.

"Alpha, she is Aadhya. She was guarding the point where the attack happened," alpha Aiden told him while the alpha king was still looking at me.

"I would like to know about the complete details, Aadhya," the alpha king said, and I nearly melted on the floor. The way he pronounced my name gave me goosebumps, and I tried to stop myself from behaving like a teenage girl. I knew that they would surely be able to hear my heartbeats, but still, I kept my expressions neutral.

"Sure, alpha, just call me whenever you are free, and I will come to tell you the details," I told them, and alpha Aiden nodded while alpha king looked at dee with interest. I came in front of dee slowly and hid his tiny figure behind me "anything else, alpha?" I asked politely.

"If I am not wrong, this pup is alpha born," the alpha king said while looking at me, and I nodded.

"He is the son of alpha Devin of--"

"New moon pack, who died in an airplane crash three years ago" alpha king completed alpha Aiden’s sentence, and alpha Aiden nodded.

"He was a good friend of mine, and sadly he has no relatives, so I took Diego under my care," he explained, and the alpha king nodded while I felt Diego’s grip on my hand getting tighter. The topic of his parents is a little sore spot for him... {I can understand him, though}

"When are you planning to enroll him in alpha’s training?" The alpha king asked Alpha Aiden.

"I have not planned to train him until now," Alpha Aiden said apologetically.

"Then plan it soon, Aiden," king Ryan said in a serious tone "there is a reason why alpha’s born are made the next alphas. It is in their blood, and no one can command them except the alpha king. He is a child right now, so there is no problem, but as he gets older and transforms into his wolf form, Ethan’s wolf will take him as a threat to his authority. You can transfer him to my pack if you can’t train him here. We have many alpha pups already training there" as soon as I heard this, I couldn’t stop myself from interrupting them.

"You can’t make a huge decision in his life without consulting him" ... {I didn’t mean it to sound this harsh} ... Alpha Aiden glared at me while the alpha king’s expressions were still neutral.

"Then talk to him," the alpha king said to me. "I can see and feel that he is connected to you. Explain to him in a way in which he will understand. He needs to get proper alpha training on time. We don’t want to hurt him either, but don’t you think that you can’t be with him always to shield him?" he said to me seriously, and the truth pierced my heart. I didn’t say anything to him. "I will meet you tomorrow, and then we’ll talk about the details," he said and walked in the opposite direction with alpha Aiden.

"Addy," Dee said in a timid voice... {he is scared.} ... I forced a smile on my face and looked at him.

"Hungry??" I asked him, and he nodded instantly. We walked into the kitchen and found Mrs. Davis preparing dinner.

"There is still time left for dinner, pups," she said as soon as she saw us and continued her work. Dee pouted and looked at me... {let’s try being cute then}

"I am hungry, Mrs. Davis. Can I have some cookies?" I asked her and gave her puppy dog eyes.

"I am proud of you, dear, for what you have done," she said, and our smiles grew "but no, I have baked those cookies specially for Sunday, and you are not getting even one before that," she said sternly "and don’t try to use more tricks on me Aadhya, I raised you for six years, darling, I know your tricks very well," she said to me and shooed us out of the kitchen.

"Now what?" I said to Dee, who was giving longing looks to the food Mrs. Davis was preparing. His shoulders slumped in defeat when she closed the door on our faces, but suddenly he looked cheerfully at me.

"Time to complete your promise, addy," he said, and I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion "you promised me in the hospital that you would give me two chocolates," he said and grinned while I looked at him in shock.

"I thought you were sad," I told him and gave him a stink eye.

"I was, but you always say, stay attentive in every condition," he said, and I looked in another direction to hide my smile from him, and he grabbed my hand in his. "Now let’s go," he said, dragging me out of the orphanage. When we reached the store, he bought his chocolates, and as none of us were in the mood to return to the orphanage, we wandered here and there. All the markets and major public places are nearly empty... {thanks to mate ball} ... we went to the garden and sat on the swings while I told him the details of the attack... {not the gruesome one}. When I ended the tale, he was looking at me like I was some superhero.

"Will you teach me everything, addy?" he asked me, and then I again remembered what the alpha king said about his training. I looked at him and got up from my place. I checked the time on my phone, which was showing 8:00 pm... {everyone should be at mate ball now} ...

"Wanna come with me to my special place, dee?" he jumped from the swing in excitement and took hold of my hand. I took him to the lake, and he observed everything eagerly. Pups are not allowed to wander in the forest without adult supervision, so it’s the first time he has come into this part of the pack. I did not interrupt him and sat on the edge of the lake, dipping my feet in the water. He did his wandering for a few more minutes, then came and joined me.

"It’s beautiful here," he said to me, and I nodded.

"I used to come here with my friends when they were in the pack," I explained to him, and he hummed while looking at the stars. "Did you understand what the alpha king was saying?" I asked him, and he nodded sadly.

"He wants to send me away from here," he said, and I didn’t give him false hope and nodded. "But I don’t want to go, addy. You should tell him that you will teach me, and I will become strong like you, then no one will send me away from you," he said desperately, and I smiled at his innocence. He doesn’t know how this world works.

"You are meant to be way stronger than me, dee," I told him, and he scrunched his eyebrows. "Do you remember anything about your parents?" I asked him, and he turned his gaze towards the lake and didn’t answer me. I also didn’t force him as I knew how it felt to live without them. People say that when the mate bond gets severed, you feel a constant hollowness in your heart, but it is the same thing I felt when my parents left me. I was ten years older then and knew many things, but dee was just a two-year-old pup.

"I have a few pictures of them," he said timidly, and my heart constricted for him... {he doesn’t remember anything about them} ... "I have the same eyes as my dad," he said and looked at his reflection in the lake. His grey eyes are gazing at him back "and the same hair color as my maa," he said and touched his chocolate brown hair. "They were beautiful," he said, and a tear slipped from his eyes, and I put my hand on his shoulder "how was your parents’ addy?" he asked me, and this caught me off guard. No one has asked me this question till now. I looked at the lake and remembered it was the same reaction that dee had a few minutes ago.

I took a deep breath. "I lived with my gramma for eight years," I told him, and he looked at me with interest. "I was sick when I was a kid, so my gramma took care of me. When I was about to turn nine, gramma had to shift with my uncle urgently. So, she told my Mumma and daddy to take me here with them" he nodded, and I continued, "I spent two years with my parents, I didn’t remember much of that day, but both of them were killed in a rogue attack" I told him, and a tear slipped from my eye, but I wiped it quickly "I share same eyes as my Mumma and nothing else from my daddy. Mum used to tell me that I am a replica of my gramma," I told him and gave him a smile which he returned with his.

"I don’t want to go away from you, addy," he said sadly.

"But you have to train hard, harder than any other wolf. Your dad was an alpha; one day, you also have to be one. An alpha must keep his pack safe, and you will not be able to do it if you are not trained" I tried to make him understand.

"What if I don’t want to go?" he asked stubbornly, and I took a deep breath.

"Then don’t," I said and looked at him, "but still, you have to be trained. If you go to alpha king’s pack, then you will surely become one of the bests, but if you stay here, alpha Aiden will train you, or it is also possible that Ethan will train you, and I don’t want him to even come near you," I told him, and he hugged me.

"I don’t want to go away, but I also don’t like alpha, Ethan. Can’t you come with me in another pack?" he asked me desperately. "I will not trouble you, pinky promise," he said, extending his pinky finger towards me.

"Things don’t work like this, dee. Alpha king asked you to stay in his pack because you are alpha born and you are a special wolf" I tried to make him understand.

"We will tell him that you are a good girl, we will promise him that we will not trouble him, and you can also tell him that you can fight with bad guys," he said desperately "please addy, I don’t like people bullying me and if you will be with me than you can save me" I took a deep breath and tried to think of any excuse, but nothing came in my mind. It’s not like I didn’t want to quit the blue moon pack but the day I started getting my heightened senses, I knew that I couldn’t go and stay with humans but still telling the alpha king to take me into his pack is a little weird.

"I can’t promise dee, but I will think about it." As soon as I said this, he hugged me.

"Thank you, addy," he said, and I rubbed his back. After it, dee became his usual self and started blabbering about anything and everything. We were laughing like maniacs when we heard a shuffling sound from the bushes, both of us stood on the ground, and I shielded dee behind me and gave him my mobile. "You have to run from here, take my cell, and call gamma Alexander."
