Chapter 1428: Chapter 1012, You Came to the Holy Hall to Kill Me?

"Looks like you’re in a good mood today." The Lady walked over.

Today’s dream was different from the first encounter last night.

There was no endless darkness, no writhing shadows, nor any whispering murmurs.

There was only grass and sky all around, looking very peaceful.

Liz said, "Gold and Silver Island is so lively, completely different from what I imagined."

"What did you imagine it would be like?" The Lady was also intrigued.

This follower, who had never left the city of The Holy Court, what kind of image did they have of Gold and Silver Island?

Liz paused and then said, "Very chaotic, and full of evil professions."

"Sounds a bit like the place before the Pirates came."

Liz gave an awkward smile, "I imagined it, but I’ve never seen Pirates myself."

"What places did you see on Gold and Silver Island?" The Lady continued to ask.

"I wandered around the port and streets, there were so many Skeleton patrols there, I was afraid to scare the child, so I didn’t dare to go too far," said Liz, then looked up at her.

The Lady raised an eyebrow and snapped her fingers lightly.

The surroundings began to change, appearing once more at the port.

The sea breeze, carrying a salty wet scent, brushed their cheeks as the two stood at the bustling dock, and the baby appeared in the hands of an Attendant, still sleeping sweetly.

Liz glanced at the child and then looked over, "Are we back at Gold and Silver Island again?"

The Lady’s fox tail brushed past her shoulder, pointing into the distance, "Have you seen the Consortium’s ships?"

A giant merchant ship was unloading cargo, busy workers forming a line, a captain with a tamed beast on his shoulder shouting loudly, "Step firmly, anyone who drops the cargo into the sea will pay from their own wages."

Liz shrank her neck, "So strict, the Consortium people are scary."

"Perhaps, but the Consortium is acknowledged as having the best contract spirit," said the Lady.

Liz pouted, not convinced in her heart, but she didn’t argue.

Alongside them, members of an association-like team walked by.

Casually chatting away.

"The Ke Kingdom’s Royal Family got replaced just like that."

"I heard it was due to a Special Item, they wanted to resurrect a dead Religious Leader."

As the team members moved on, Liz continued gazing towards the dock.

The Lady glanced at her, "Come on, I’ll take you to the Central District. With me around, you don’t need to worry about the Skeletons."

Beneath their feet, the street extended automatically, and in an instant, they stood before the central Grand Cathedral.

Colored Glass cast colorful light, the spire archways and gathered columns were entirely different from The Holy Court’s Church.

"Want to take a look inside?" The Lady asked.

Liz took two steps back, her head shaking like a bell in a storm, "This, this is too outrageous! The great deity will punish me."

"What are you afraid of? This is just a dream, who can control dreams?" The Lady spoke, standing beside her.

"Even in dreams, it’s not okay."

"Think of it as a trial for the brave; the deity will forgive you." With a flick of her fox tail, the Lady led her into the Church.

Entering the hall, Liz’s eyes still widened.

No bloody altars, no dark-robed evil followers.

Morning light cascaded through the dome, worshippers sat on benches quietly listening.

At the front, a Wood Elf Priest held a book, speaking something, though the sound didn’t carry through.

The two sat with their Attendant and child at the back row of the Church, and Liz said, "This is all a dream, how could the Church on Gold and Silver Island look like this."

The Lady didn’t argue, and continued, "Anywhere else you want to go?"

"Is there anywhere else?"

The Lady’s fox tail draped over her frail shoulder, "I’ll take you to see them all!"

Then, the surroundings began to change rapidly.

The two appeared in the Heavenly Fox Clan village, the wooden Wind Chimes gently sounding in the wind, then they went to the main city of the Yeko Kingdom, the populace cheering long live the Queen, with Beastmen and humans living together in the city.

Finally, the two returned to the original dreamscape, the green grassland, the blue sky.

"Are you the deity of the Heavenly Fox Clan?" Liz suddenly asked, holding the child.

The Lady leaned slouchily on a cloud-formed long chair, nine fox tails spreading like a fan, "Why do you say that?"

Liz nodded earnestly, "Only a deity can create worlds."

"In the Heavenly Fox Clan, I do have a deity statue." The Lady answered nonchalantly.

Liz’s gaze was slightly evasive, "So you came to find me... is it to make me betray The Holy Court?"

"Ha!" The Lady was taken aback, "What value do you have? Is it worth my effort?"

Liz thought for a moment, then said dejectedly, "You might be right, I don’t seem to have much value."

Then she asked, "So, are we friends now?"

The Lady raised an eyebrow, "You’re quite brave, asking if I’m a deity, then wanting to be friends."

Liz was somewhat embarrassed, "Uh..., sorry."

"If you can dream of me again tomorrow, maybe I’ll agree." The Lady approached like a fairy, gently lifting her chin, "Make friends with me; even your Pope isn’t qualified."

Liz was stunned, immediately praying in repentance.

The Lady laughed, "Have a good dream; I hope to see you tomorrow."

The surroundings changed once more, and Liz found herself returning to the Central District of Gold and Silver Island.

Only now, it was night.

The night fell like silk, streets lined with lamps illuminating the small island brightly.

Bard stood on a barrel, singing poetry, countless people gathered around, chatting and watching performances.

"Light stones hanging on the streets!" Liz’s eyes widened.

What she’d seen in the day turned out not to be flagpoles, but illuminating stones.

Gold and Silver Island, truly living up to its name.

So wealthy.

...

In the dimly lit bedroom.

The Lady withdrew from the other’s dreamscape, and as soon as she appeared, her brow furrowed.
