Chapter 1390: Chapter 996, Not Afraid of Partners from The Holy Court

Bell of the Dead!

A standard Necromancer skill.

A black cover, adorned with reliefs of skeletons and a bell tower.

This book is predictable enough; it’s definitely a reward tailored to my profession.

Judging from its effect, it’s quite similar to the Priest’s [Mirage Choir]. After ’choir’ is released, a phantom choir appears in the air, affecting targets within range.

The difference is, the choir enhances the living, suppressing necromancy.

This skill book enhances necromancy and suppresses the living.

Essentially, if another profession has it, I must have it too.

When I first became a Hero, I was indeed desperately in need of skill books, inquiring through various means, even trading with mages for skill book readings.

Back then, despite having the rank of a Hero, my attacking methods primarily relied on modern weapons.

But now things are different; since mastering the ancient skill [Water Drawing Technique], ordinary skill books have greatly reduced in appeal for me.

Such a skill like [Water Drawing Technique] satisfies all my attack needs.

Therefore, Wu Heng isn’t as focused on the association’s skill books anymore.

But the group effect of [Bell of the Dead] may still come in handy in certain situations.

Wu Heng watched as the Elf Elder began the introduction, "Leader, the first item is the ’Curse Ash Wand’, a high-quality special item of the curse magic system..."

The others lacked the ability to see information about special items, so records from the association were required to begin introducing their functions.

Wu Heng patiently listened to all the introductions and nodded, "Alright, I’ll accept these compensations."

"Please sign here." The Elf Elder handed over a receipt document.

After the sisters confirmed the gold coin amount was accurate, Wu Heng stamped it with the Leader’s emblem.

The Elf Elder visibly relaxed; this fierce man who killed three Heroes was much more approachable than imagined.

The room was silent for a moment, lasting two or three seconds.

The Elf Elder leaned forward slightly, respectfully speaking, "Leader, Leader Hadara requests us to ask if more communication devices could still be purchased? The association is willing to continue offering Level 2 merit in exchange."

The merit promised last time hasn’t been converted yet, and they want more radios.

It seems that the radios sent have indeed made them feel the convenience.

Being able to communicate in real-time is far more convenient than sending letters, and the radio technology is only available to me; even the most advanced mechanists or Array Pattern Masters can’t replicate it.

I also can’t agree too readily from my side.

They must understand the value of this thing, and every frequency should be handled well to avoid interference, lest they suspect eavesdropping.

Wu Heng pretended to ponder, showing a difficult expression, "The manufacturing process of this kind of device is extremely complicated..."

Slightly pausing, he said, "How about this, you all stay on the island for two days; I need to discuss with the technical team to see if we can provide a few more units."

Seeing there’s room for negotiation, the Elders immediately agreed, "Alright, we await your good news."

After the main discussion, the Elf Elder cautiously glanced at Xi Ligui and Shi Yali beside him, taking out an exquisite wooden box from his Space Ring and presenting it to Wu Heng, "This is Moonlight Flower Tea, specially crafted within the tribe. We hope the Leader will try it; if you like it, we can send some regularly."

The other Elders also presented gifts one after another.

They weren’t anything overly luxurious or precious, mainly to show respect and build relationships.

Wu Heng accepted them with a smile, "You’ve put thought into this! Rest well on the island; if you need anything, find Xi Ligui."

Xi Ligui timely responded, "Shi Yali, take the Elders to the prepared rooms, remember to book a banquet at the tavern for welcoming the Elders."

"Yes!" Shi Yali answered promptly, turning to the Elders, "Resting rooms are ready and more comfortable than the tavern."

The Elders once again bowed to Wu Heng before leaving the study with Shi Yali.

After the door closed, Xi Ligui finally relaxed, saying, "This tea is very expensive."

Gold and Silver Island regularly sends the sisters flower tea from the Elf Race, making them well aware of the price of various teas.

Wu Heng handed it to her, "If you like it, directly order some; we aren’t short of money now."

"You take it to drink; we’ve all had it before, and it’s been given to you." Xi Ligui straightly said.

Wu Heng raised an eyebrow, "Alright, if it tastes good, we’ll order some regularly."

"Whatever you say." Xi Ligui smiled and then handed him the Space Satchel containing 500,000 gold coins, "500,000, I’ve never seen so much money in my life."

"Guaranteed by the association, otherwise The Holy Court wouldn’t have been so honest in paying." Wu Heng said with a smile.

"As long as we get it, they’ve somewhat bled for it." Xi Ligui said angrily.

Ever since The Holy Court targeted Gold and Silver Island, she’s loathed them.

Pure bullying.

Worse than the Evil Cult.

"For a sect that’s been running for millennia, this amount doesn’t mean much." Wu Heng put away the Space Satchel.

"True!" Xi Ligui agreed.

Wu Heng chuckled, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her into his arms.

Seating her on his lap.

"Hey, not here..." Xi Ligui was about to speak but her mouth was blocked.

The two entangled for a good while.

Wu Heng reached out, starting to undo the buttons on her coat, revealing inner armor, struggled for a while but didn’t succeed.

Simplifying the task, went directly for her belt.

Xi Ligui’s expression froze, she elbowed him twice under the ribs, "You’re crazy, I have to attend a meeting later, not here."

"Then let’s settle for this." Wu Heng slipped his hand under her back, squeezing and kneading.
