Chapter 1324: Chapter 965, Just Say She Hits People. _2

Wu Heng glanced and said, "Go on, don’t cause any trouble, this is Blood Clan territory."

"Got it~!" Xiao Xiao drawled, replying, and then said to those behind, "Auntie, sister, let’s go together!"

Glenda said, "You two go, I don’t really feel like going out."

"Alright then! Sister, let’s go." Xiao Xiao said, and flew out with Bella.

The other two Ghosts nodded, glanced at Wu Heng, and followed them out.

Lilith’s Leader Mansion had already fallen into silence; no maids or servants could be seen, and Wu Heng found some hot water to make himself a cup of instant noodles.

Now that he thought about it, Gold and Silver Island was still better; the Skeleton Chef was on standby 24/7, occasionally making some pastries too.

Just as he sat down in the hall, planning to eat the noodles, Glenda flew back, "Lilith is in the courtyard looking at her phone, all by herself."

Wu Heng raised an eyebrow, "The way you say it, it’s like you’re planning to kidnap her."

Glenda rolled her eyes in exasperation, "Go quickly!"

Wu Heng carried his noodles towards the courtyard, the night breeze was slightly cool, and the roses in the courtyard glowed eerily under the moonlight.

Lilith was sitting on a bench, her fingers swiping across her phone.

Indeed, the Blood Clan!

If it were a human, sitting here playing with their phone at this hour, they would probably get anemic from mosquito bites.

"Didn’t eat dinner?" Lilith asked coolly without raising her head.

"Just came down, grabbing a quick bite." Wu Heng sat beside her, twisted some noodles on a fork, and brought it to her lips, "Try it, you’ve never had this before, have you?"

Lilith was taken aback, evidently not expecting him to do this.

She glanced up at him, "Do you think I’m a child?"

"Just try a bite." Wu Heng coaxed, offering the fork again.

Lilith’s eyes darted around, quickly scanning their surroundings. After confirming no one was around, she slightly lowered her head, shyly took a small bite, and blushed.

She chewed slowly and then said, "It’s okay, tastes average."

"It’s just meant to be a temporary fix for hunger." Wu Heng continued, "If I ever lose my income, I’ll open a tavern, selling just these instant noodles."

"Talkative." Lilith rolled her eyes at him, but still took another small bite when he offered again, "That’s enough, I’ve already had dinner."

Wu Heng retracted the fork and began devouring the noodles himself.

Lilith put away her phone, turned to rest her cheek on her hand, watching him with interest, "What’s your plan next?"

"First, get the sect up and running." Wu Heng said while eating, "I’ve already made arrangements with several places; the church can be built soon, and then it’s just about spreading the faith."

Lilith said, "Normal sects wouldn’t dare expand so openly, afraid of clashing with The Holy Court, but you don’t seem afraid at all."

Wu Heng asked, "By the way, there’s something I’ve always been curious about."

"What is it?"

"How many heroes are there in the association?" He put down his bowl and chopsticks, seriously asking, "Based on the rule of rotating governance, shouldn’t there be more heroes than currently known?"

Lilith was silent for a moment, her eyes narrowing slightly, and said obscurely, "There are five people governing each term, each term lasts 50 years, and including you, there are enough for the next round of governance."

Wu Heng raised an eyebrow; the association has four more heroes behind the scenes.

The association is indeed powerful. Even with The Holy Court’s arrogance, it still follows the association’s rules.

"What about The Holy Court?" Wu Heng pressed on.

Lilith tapped her fingers lightly on the table, "The Holy Court is a bit special; their strength comes from the Divine Spirits, so they’ve always been quite mysterious."

She paused, then added, "Saidu has served two terms as leader, I don’t have accurate information on how many heroes they have."

Wu Heng nodded, pondering and then said, "Last time you mentioned to me that you suspect Saidu and the Pope are the same person. When I fought them, they did indeed merge... ."

"I heard from Xiao Xiao about this, so the information might be off. If they’re the same person, it should refer to the Pope you killed during your first term." Lilith continued, "If I get any information, I’ll let you know."

Wu Heng nodded.

"Don’t overthink it." Lilith shifted her gaze back to him, "Weren’t you afraid it was a trap when you risked yourself to save me?"

"Impossible!" Wu Heng said with a smile, "Actually, I know a bit of divination. I already foresaw that the two of us could defeat them together."

"Oh? You can do that too?" Lilith raised an eyebrow.

"Let me show you, give me your hand, left hand will do." Wu Heng said.

Lilith skeptically extended her left hand, and Wu Heng pointed at the palm lines on her hand, "This is the career line, your career will go far; see mine is a bit lacking, with many branches in the middle, representing a rough path. Look how I’ve been targeted by The Holy Court constantly without stopping."

Lilith leaned over, looking at his palm, with a faint fragrance lingering in her hair.

Wu Heng continued, "This one is the life line, yours is straight too, indicating good health... ."

Heh~!

Lilith was amused and grasped his palm abruptly, "You’re tricking kids, I’m a Blood Clan, of course my life line is long."

Saying this, she attempted to withdraw her hand, only to have Wu Heng hold it firmly.

"You... ." Lilith looked up, just in time to meet his gaze.

In an instant, the words got stuck in her throat, her heart pounding more erratically than when facing an enemy.

Wu Heng’s heart was also beating rapidly, he could distinctly feel the slight coolness of her skin in his palm, and her fingers not really using force.

Just like Glenda said, the way Lilith looked at him had changed significantly from before.

Had it been someone else daring to hold Lilith’s hand like this, they would’ve long been silenced and sealed into a coffin for exile.

Yet now, she just awkwardly turned her head away, her eartips subtly flushed.

There was hope for him!

"Come back to Gold and Silver Island with me!" Wu Heng held her cold, soft hand, speaking in a coaxing tone, "You don’t even have electricity here, there’s nowhere to charge your phone when the battery runs out."

Lilith turned her face away, her eartips slightly red under the moonlight, "Didn’t I tell you? Once my main forces arrive and everything’s arranged over here... ."

Before she could finish, Wu Heng suddenly leaned closer.

The distance between them rapidly decreased, close enough to feel each other’s breaths.

Lilith’s pupils shrank slightly, instinctively trying to dodge, but was gently held at the chin by Wu Heng’s other hand, facing him again.

The next moment, Wu Heng felt his mouth disappear, immediately wiping it with his hand for it to return.

Lilith closed her eyes.

Just as their lips were about to meet.

"Uncle, sister, you’re here... ."

Bam~!

A tremendous force surged from his abdomen, propelling Wu Heng backward, crashing with a "splash" into the flower bed, scattering petals everywhere.

"Xiao Xiao!" Lilith regained her composure, looking towards the air, "What was that about?"

Xiao Xiao floated in the air, puffed up with anger, "Why did you hit Uncle? I don’t like you anymore."

"We were... ." Lilith was briefly at a loss for words, then quickly composed herself, "We were training, your uncle asked me to train with him, your interruption made him lose focus."

Wu Heng climbed out of the flower bushes awkwardly, brushing off the dirt and petals from him, awkwardly smiling, "It’s fine, just training, so bumps and scrapes are inevitable."

Xiao Xiao suspiciously looked at both of them, finally nodding, "See, I told you, sister is so nice, she’d never hit someone for no reason!"

Lilith coughed lightly and turned to head indoors, "It’s late, let’s rest for tonight, any discussions can wait till tomorrow."

Once her silhouette disappeared, Glenda appeared, "Looks like good progress!"

Wu Heng rubbed his slightly aching chest, "I told you, she can hit."

Glenda said, "In the future, on the bed, you can hit back."

Wu Heng gave her an exasperated look, "You’re being suggestive again, aren’t you!"

With that, he walked into the house, returning to his room.

Lilith stood by the window of her room, her fingertips softly brushing her lips.

...

Returning to the room, Xiao Xiao and Bella were floating in the air, animatedly describing their experiences outside.

Wu Heng took out the Demon Soul Pot, and the hazy Soul emerged, coalescing into the ’Lady’s’ Soul, "Letting you out to breathe a bit, don’t wander off."

Handing out books and three tablets.

"Where is this? Doesn’t seem like your home!" the Lady was curious.

"Blood Clan territory, just staying for the night." Wu Heng said.

The Lady teasingly remarked, "Heh, I thought you found the place we bet on!"

"Don’t worry!" Wu Heng unbuttoned his coat, letting it float onto a hanger, "I’ve got a lead."

"You’re bluffing!" the Lady wrinkled her nose.

Wu Heng said no more, "Enjoy yourselves, I can still rest a bit. If nothing comes up tomorrow, we’ll head back then."

"Okay, good night."
