"Let’s begin with why you attacked her in the first place, okay?" Elliana asked, and the boys nodded, their gaze flickering to Carl again and again, who was wailing and screaming in pain.

The ladies had already stepped out of the room earlier because they didn’t want to end up attacking that guy. After all, his blood was like an open invitation for them to come and drink from him.

No matter how trained they were, they were still vampires at the end of the day.

"Glow, can you give me your phone? I have to record this," Elliana signaled Glow, and the vampire practically placed a clip on her nose to block the scent of blood before walking to Elliana.

She quickly left, and Elliana turned on the recording mode before placing it at an angle where she would get a good view of only those three boys.

She didn’t want to capture Carl in the video. This way, if she shows someone this video, they won’t accuse her of manipulating the truth.

"What are you waiting for? I don’t have all the time in the world," Elliana said.

"We attacked Elliana, a human, because someone asked us to do it," the boy stopped, and Elliana hit the pavement with her stick, making them shake in fear.

"I won’t be asking you again and again. You are ruining the proof I have to give to someone. So just tell me everything in a single go, will you?" She asked, and the boys nodded.

"A day before the day of the attack, we received a random message from one of the most influential people in the human kingdom. They said they wanted us to do something for them.

We didn’t want to do it at first, but then they said they would assure us of a position in the council. If you don’t know, a position in the council is highly respected," the boy coughed and took a deep breath.

"The job was to beat Elliana black and blue and render her unable to move for a month so she could stop coming to university. We didn’t even know anything about the girl before that day. We have no personal enmity with her. It was all because of money and -"

Elliana recorded them patiently. Everything they told her about how they planned it and what they wanted, and how their intentions changed after seeing the beauty.

They told everything apart from the main thing.

"And? I think you have forgotten about the main thing this entire video is for," Elliana said.

"Main thing?" The boy looked at her warily, and she scoffed inside her mind before looking at Carl.

Carl had passed out from pain long ago.

"Do you guys want to end up like him?" she glared at them.

"Do you think I am interested in your story? I already knew what you told me just now. What I want to know is who is the person who ordered you to attack Elliana. You told every single thing and cunningly didn’t mention the person’s name. Not even once," Elliana placed her elbows on her knees and bent ahead dominantly.

"Are you going to tell me the name by yourself, or do you need some help like Carl?" She asked, realizing she made a slip-up.

She shouldn’t have taken his name. According to them, she was just someone working for some mysterious person. They can not know she is Elliana, or they would spout these things the first thing to Mr. Marino or if someone asked them anything again. After all, she wasn’t planning on killing them.

Elliana looked at the boys before clearing her throat.

"Well, I am still waiting," she said.

She asked them this question just for the sake of the video and to gather the proof.

Elliana already knew who this person was. It was none other than Madeline. She is the only person in her life who has sworn to make her life a living hell.

She was waiting for the boys to say her name so she could be done with her video and leave already. It was getting too late now.

Meanwhile, outside the royal kingdom, after talking to his grandpa, Sebastian sat inside his car and took out his phone to call Blue and ask her what the princess was doing and if her shopping was done.

"Is she done with her shopping?" Sebastian asked straightforwardly, and Blue nodded.

"Yes, sir. The Princess’s shopping was done around a jour ago. She bought a dress,"

"What is she doing now?"Sebastian narrowed his eyes.

If Elliana was done with shopping, why was she not calling him to pick her up? Or is it that she is still having fun with her friends? Why doesn’t he like the sound of it?

"I am not sure, sir," Blue said, and Sebastian scrunched his brows.

"You are not sure? What is that supposed to mean? She is there with you. You are following her constantly, right?" Sebastian asked.

"Yes, sir. I am following the princess, but she has been sitting in a restaurant for the last hour. She is not going anywhere. Just reading a book," Blue’s words confused Sebastian.

"Reading a book? Are her friends not with her?" Sebastian asked.

"No, sir. They left quite some time ago. She has been sitting alone. Just eating and reading a book," Blue said.

"Send me the location. We are done here. So I’ll pick her up after we are done with our work in the suburbs," Sebastian said before ending the call.

That’s strange. What was the princess thinking of doing? Why was she reading a book in the restaurant when they have such a big library at home?

Could it be that she is waiting for someone, and that person is running late? Now that he thinks about it, Fabian indeed reported that she messaged someone she would be arriving today.

Does that mean she is meeting with some human conspirator they have no idea about? Well, whoever it is, Blue will surely be able to catch them.

Sebastian nodded at Lucas, who immediately started the car.

"I don’t have fucking whole day!" Elliana kicked the chair away when the boys didn’t say anything further, and the boy shook before shutting his eyes.

"It was Mr. Aditya. The son of the council’s head ordered us to do it," The boy said, and Elliana paused in her actions, looking at the boy in pure anger.

So now they are resorting to lying to save her?

"What did you say? Do you still want to protect her? Even after everything you are going through, you want to protect Madeline?" Elliana asked, and the boy shook his head.

"Why would we lie to you? We can clearly see that you have a team of vampires who would come and rip our limbs apart on the first signal you do. We love our life too. Why would we risk it by saying someone else’s name?" The boy asked.

This can’t be true. Even if Aditya chose Madeline over her and said he would always be with a girl like Madeline. Even though their parents were thinking about their marriage interests and she was nothing in their life, she couldn’t believe it.

Even though he didn’t like her back, she was a good friend to her, no? Elliana closed the video.

She was hoping to show this video to Aditya as proof against Madeline. Even if she knew they wouldn’t do anything against her, she still wanted to show him Madeline’s true face.

But who would have thought she would be the one getting shocked?

Elliana felt like a fool. Remembering the time she asked Aditya to look into the matter and said she suspected Madeline, who would’ve known that she was asking the criminal for help?

Is that the real reason why these people aren’t looking for these lost boys even after all these days? Did the entire council know about it? Or how was he able to promise a place to them in the council? If the council is involved, what can she do? Elliana’s hand clenched around her jeans.

Get her beaten black and blue? So that she isn’t able to come to the University for a month? And repeat the process again and again? Elliana remembered everything that the boy had said in her head.

It was hurting her, but maybe that was the last closure she needed to stop calling those people her friends who were never there to protect her.

Elliana clenched her hand around Glow’s phone. Her vampire friends could see that she was hurting, and they thinned her lips, promising themselves to teach whoever this council head’s son was a good lesson.

"Let me give them one last beating. They wanted to beat Elliana black and blue, right? Let me show them what black and blue means," Elliana said before she shook her head.

She held the stick in her hand firmly before beating them on the ground.

"Aaah!"

"Please leave us!"

"We told you the entire truth!

"Aaah!"

"Ahh"

"We will never do it again!"

"Aaaa!"

"Aaaa!"

"We will stop hurting others and turn good," the boys kept wailing in pain, and Elliana looked at her hands in shock when she saw the golden glow increasing and threw the stick in shock.

She hid the hand in her pocket quickly, afraid someone would sense her powers.

What the hell was she doing? Beating these people isn’t going to help or change the truth. She needs to wake up to reality. She gulped and took deep breaths to calm her anger.

"Vacant this place," Elliana said, and the vampire females looked at her, confused.
