The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride -
Chapter 404: All the plotting, just for her
Chapter 404: All the plotting, just for her
Near the human kingdom in the abandoned forests, a group of seven people stood near the lake as they looked at their leader, waiting for his further instructions on what they should be doing at the moment.
"Sir, we have collected the information. Every time someone tries to hurt this girl, she gets out of the situation with little to no injuries, and none of the people who tried to hurt her are alive," one of the men looked at their leader, who quirked his brows.
"What are you trying to indicate here, Jadon?" The man asked, and Jadon looked around at his group of friends, hoping to get some moral support from them.
"Is it okay to attack her? She hasn’t made any moves towards us herself. Should we really get into this trouble?" Jadon asked.
Their leader looked at them for a few minutes before he chuckled darkly.
"Why do you think we are targeting her, Jadon? Is it because of some political issue?" The leader asked as he looked at his elongated nails that were ready to pull someone’s heart out.
"Because she was the reason behind the death of those five vampires and -" Jadon couldn’t complete his sentence when the man interrupted him.
"It’s because she is the one who killed Prince Harry," The leader said, and everyone around the lake gasped loudly.
The look of shock was clear in their eyes. No one could believe what their leader was saying. It was technically impossible. No matter from what angle they tried to see things, it wasn’t possible.
Not only was Prince Harry one of the strongest vampires and royalty, but he was also beyond tamable and -
"But how is that possible, sir? How can a mere human kill a royalty?" Jadon asked, voicing everyone’s questions.
"I know, right? How can a human really kill a royal vampire prince? Then again, are we really sure this girl is human?" The leader turned around, looking at his reflection in the lake.
"Sometimes, truth comes hidden behind layers of masks that are very hard to identify. Though we know Vampire Prince Sebastian isn’t someone who would have stayed fooled for so long, there is a high chance that he has been deliberately keeping quiet about the fact that the person he has been betrothed to is not a human," The leader said, and everyone nodded in understanding.
"But..even after that, are you really sure she killed him? I am not doubting your sense of judgment, sir, but what proof do we have -"
"That’s what Prince Harry told me before he was dying. He said words like- fire, can’t breathe, Sebastian’s wife, she burnt him," the leader said, remembering how devastated he was when he heard the message through his mind link.
Everyone stayed quiet for a really long time, unsure of what to say anymore before the leader sighed.
"She could be a shapeshifter, a skinwalker, a demon in disguise, or anything apart from a witch. I don’t know how she was able to light such a powerful prince on fire, but that’s the truth.
Those fucking royals didn’t even give him any justice, all because he was involved in one bad activity. Fucking hypocrites. But that’s okay. I will find justice for my lord," the leader said before turning around and facing everyone.
"I want all of you to exploit all our resources and find the nearest place where we can take her and she won’t be able to use her abilities either. I want her to die a very slow and painful death. She should scream just like my prince had screamed," the leader added.
Jadon looked at his leader before clearing his throat to gain his attention.
"How about we involve that Madeline girl in this? She is useless, but at the end of the day, she is also someone who can bring that girl out, and if anything happened, the blame would be on her. No one will ever suspect the second royal family," Jadon suggested.
The leader nodded.
"Sounds like a good idea to me. Let’s start preparing. We will strike as soon as she leaves the side of that monster," The leader said, and everyone nodded in agreement before dispersing around to mend in the people and live in hiding until the execution of the plan.
At the same time, the witch who has been going around collecting people to get Elliana either legally or illegally, looked at the girl sitting and crying on the terrace of the mansion.
She walked to the girl, raising her hand in the air so she could create a shield where no one would see her talking to the girl.
"Why is such a beautiful girl crying?" The witch asked even when she knew the answer very well.
"Who are you?" The girl asked, wiping her tears furiously.
"Does that matter? What you should know is that I can help you with whatever it is," the lady said, sitting beside her.
"You are a witch," the girl gasped when she recognized the mark on the witch’s neck, and the lady smirked.
"I am sure that’s not what you are more interested in. What you are interested in is knowing how I can help you, no?" The witch said.
The girl hesitated.
"I don’t have anything to talk to a witch -"
"Even when your father might disown you soon and bring that bastard child of his to the family? Even when he is planning to hand over all the business to that child all because of a simple mistake?" The lady asked, and the girl looked away.
"That’s not what he wants. My father would never -"
"The blisters on your skin say otherwise. Let me show you the mirror of your life, little girl. Your father had a bastard child with another woman way before you came into life, but he couldn’t leave your mother because of the property she came with," The witch said, and the girl gulped.
If it had been earlier, she would’ve defended her father whom she never suspected, but after hearing his conversation on the call and how he acted, she couldn’t say anything anymore.
"Your father kept his two families going side by side. His bastard child is more capable than you when it comes to business, not to mention how she has gained the favor of the minister’s son, and thus, he has been planning to bring her to this household.
And now that you have committed this mistake, he is going to use this opportunity to throw you and your mother away so he can -" The lady let her sentence hang when she saw the girl crying again.
"No. That’s not true. He won’t do that. My father loves me. He will never -" the girl hiccupped uncontrollably.
She scoffed and stood from her place.
"And here I thought I came to help someone who knows how to fight for herself. I guess I was just wasting my time with a coward," The witch pretended to turn around, and the girl hurried.
"What can you help with?" The girl asked, and the witch smiled.
"I can kill his bastard child," the witch smirked, and the girl looked at her as if she had grown two heads.
"N-no. Killing? I can never think of that. That’s a sin and -"
"And you can see your mother crying in despair and agony? That’s the best solution. If there is no capable child, he won’t send you out even if he wants. If I only hurt that girl, or she goes into a coma, he will have hope, but the end of her will kill every hope," the lady said, and the girl kept shaking her head in denial.
"No. I am not a killer. I am not a murderer. How can I -" the girl kept chanting.
"Fine. I can’t waste more of my time. You and your mother can live happily on the roads after everything she did for you," The lady deliberately created a portal to make it look like she was leaving for real this time.
"No, please wait. Please help me," The girl said in agony, the blisters on her skin making it hard for her to move too much.
The witch smiled.
"No witch ever helps someone out of the blue. What do you want from me?" The girl asked.
"I will tell you all about it soon, but for a hint. I want you to help me get a human girl from your University," the witch smirked, and the girl gulped when she disappeared.
