The Little Ancestor Teaches You How To Live -
Chapter 522
Chapter 522: 522
I’m going to die of anger. This crybaby even has the nerve to talk about me!
"I won’t let go!" Not only did Luoyun refuse to let go, but she clung on even tighter.
Luoyun never used to be so brazen.
Lately, under Susu’s influence, even her speech had become bolder.
She dared express her true thoughts now, and wouldn’t start bawling just because Huo Ting chided her slightly.
"You!" Huo Ting kept a stern face, and though he was angered, he still didn’t shrug off the small hand that Luoyun had on his clothes.
He, the bigger person, wouldn’t stoop to arguing with a crybaby like her! Humph!
"Keep up! If you get lost, I’m not responsible for you!" Huo Ting warned again.
"I got it, hurry up and find Aunt Susu! I want Aunt Susu!" Luoyun muttered.
"Fine, fine! You’re so annoying!"
Huo Ting, while finding Luoyun disagreeable, searched around for a sight of Susu...
It wasn’t just Huo Ting and Luoyun left behind by Susu and Lu Zhanyu, but Sangzi as well.
"Susu! Susu! Where are you, Susu?"
Sangzi also gave chase, but with the dim lighting inside the haunted house, coupled with the many forks in the path, she not only failed to catch up to Susu but ended up getting lost herself.
Looking around, there wasn’t a single familiar face in sight.
This is the end!
Now which way should I go?
Sangzi was in a panic, sweat beading on her forehead.
Suddenly, a hand reached out from behind her and tapped her shoulder.
Sangzi slowly turned around, only to come face-to-face with a horrifying ghost mask worn by a staff member.
"Ahhhhh—"
Sangzi leapt back as if she could jump three meters high, her face turning pale with fright.
She stumbled back several steps and then bumped into a solid chest.
Filled with terror, Sangzi stiffened her body and slowly turned around...
Barely making out the silhouette of a person, Sangzi screamed in fright once more, "Ahhhh—"
"It’s me."
The voice that came from above was not that of a ghost, but rather the deep, magnetic tone of Qin Yuhuai.
It was him!
Sangzi breathed a sigh of relief, but she still didn’t dare to let her guard down completely.
"Are you afraid of ghosts?" Yuhuai asked.
"Wha... What? Me... I’m not afraid... of ghosts or anything... They’re not real... I... I’m not scared..."
Sangzi countered, refusing to admit it.
Yet her trembling voice undermined her denial completely.
"If you’re scared, hold my hand, and I’ll take you out," Yuhuai said.
"No... no need..." Sangzi tried to refuse rationally.
"Are you sure you don’t need it?" Yuhuai asked.
"Positive!" Sangzi answered firmly.
"Then let’s go, we shouldn’t keep Susu waiting too long." Yuhuai didn’t insist.
He moved straight ahead.
Seeing him move away from her, Sangzi panicked. Instinctively, she wanted to grab his arm.
Just at that moment, a sudden shriek emanated from somewhere, scaring Sangzi into a continuous scream, "Ahhhhh—"
Then she quickly ran towards Yuhuai and caught hold of his arm.
Yuhuai stopped in his tracks and looked down at Sangzi holding onto his arm.
"I..." Sangzi paused for a moment, realizing that she was holding onto Yuhuai’s arm, and felt an immense wave of embarrassment.
Yet she couldn’t bear to let go.
His arm felt sturdy and strong, offering her a sense of security in this situation!
"You... you said I could... could hold your hand!" Sangzi said in a quiet voice, clearly lacking confidence.
In the dim light, the corners of Yuhuai’s mouth lifted slightly.
"Yes, you can," Yuhuai said, his voice steady.
