Chapter 319: Chapter 319: Whether the child can be saved depends on Susu (3)_1

On the way back, the words she had thought through seemed to vanish when they reached her lips.

Wang Qing turned her head to look at the Qin family matriarch.

The Qin family matriarch simply watched, with no intention of speaking for Wang Qing.

Wang Qing then turned to look at her husband.

Qin Xingzhi gave her an encouraging look.

Still, Wang Qing hesitated.

Qin Yuze said directly, "Mom, didn’t you figure it all out on your way here? Just say it! Little aunt is very reasonable!"

"I... I understand." Wang Qing looked up at Susu, her voice hoarse, "Susu, I have something to ask of you."

"What is it?" Susu asked.

"I... I want to ask you to let Master Yang treat me. I know I haven’t been nice to you before, and I’ve said some bad things..."

Wang Qing’s voice trailed off involuntarily.

"Okay," Susu agreed without hesitation.

"What did you say?" Wang Qing suddenly looked up, disbelief filling her eyes, beginning to doubt whether she had heard incorrectly.

"Okay, to treat you," Susu repeated.

So definite, so clear, without a hint of hesitation.

Wang Qing was stunned.

Just like that? She agreed to her request so simply and easily?

"Susu, you’re not... not mad at me?" Wang Qing couldn’t help but ask further.

"I don’t like you, but this little nephew inside here is from our old Qin family! I’m his aunt!"

Susu’s delicate fingers pointed to Wang Qing’s stomach as she spoke.

Her childish voice pounded heavily against Wang Qing’s heart.

Susu’s forthright answer highlighted the pettiness and small-mindedness of Wang Qing’s prior behavior, leaving her feeling utterly ashamed.

Not only was Wang Qing taken aback, but everyone else was surprised by Susu’s reaction as well.

It was reasonable yet beyond expectation.

They all knew Little Susu was a straightforward, innocent, and lovely child.

But witnessing her candid response, Qin Xingzhi, Qin Yuhuai, and the others felt their hearts pounding erratically.

Especially Qin Xingzhi, he almost cried.

Such a well-behaved and considerate sister!

Having Susu as a sister, he felt incredibly fortunate!

Susu looked up at the old man, "Uncle Bai Huzi..."

"Whatever you say goes," before Susu could speak, the old man agreed with a cheerful smile.

Then the old man said to Wang Qing and Qin Xingzhi, "Since Susu has said so, I agree to treat you."

As expected, as long as Susu agreed to the treatment, Uncle Bai Huzi would readily agree.

Though they didn’t know what had transpired between him and Susu, he was truly honoring his promise to treat people only for Susu’s sake.

"Thank you, Master Shuyi. Thank you, Master Shuyi," Qin Xingzhi was the first to thank Uncle Bai Huzi.

"Don’t be hasty in thanking me, and don’t get too happy too soon. I make no guarantees about a cure, but if you’re willing to take the risk, I will proceed with conservative treatment," Uncle Bai Huzi said.

"We’ll take the risk, we’ll take it!" Qin Xingzhi asserted.

They had already discussed it; if Master Shuyi treated her, there was a chance the baby could be saved.

Otherwise, this little life, which they had only just learned about, would leave them.

After thanking Uncle Bai Huzi, Qin Xingzhi turned and lifted Susu in his arms. Looking at the soft, delicate little sister in his embrace, Qin Xingzhi’s face was filled with tenderness, "Sister, thank you."

Susu saw the redness in Qin Xingzhi’s eyes, reached out with her small hand, and wiped his face, "Big brother, don’t cry. I’m here! I’ll protect you!"
