Chapter 287: Chapter 287: Susu is Her Unmatched Hero (2)_1
"Yunyun, do you want to see the tiger? Daddy will hold you up so you can see it clearer, okay?" Qin Chengzhi asked.
"Yeah!" Qin Luoyun nodded vigorously.
Just a moment ago, she had been too upset by her parents’ quarrel to enjoy looking at the carnivores outside.
Now feeling better, she pressed her face against the glass window, focusing intently on what was outside.
The sightseeing vehicle moved very slowly, allowing a clear view of the lions and tigers as they passed by.
"A tiger! Mommy, Daddy, look, there’s a tiger!" Qin Luoyun exclaimed excitedly, once again trying to share her joy with her parents.
"Mhm." Qin Chengzhi gave a low acknowledgment.
Taking advantage of the moment, Qin Chengzhi picked up Qin Luoyun, pretending like the other parents, to give his child a better view of the animals outside.
Just as the other children and parents in the same vehicle were focused on the tiger a few hundred meters away, Qin Chengzhi suddenly opened the car window.
The window was quite small, made so for safety reasons; it was impossible for an adult to fit through it.
The designer of this little window probably never imagined that someone would stuff a child through it.
The very next second after opening the window, Qin Chengzhi threw Qin Luoyun out through it.
Qin Luoyun was small, and the size of the window was just right to toss her out.
Immediately after, Qin Chengzhi shouted, "Ah! Yunyun! Yunyun has fallen down!"
Zhang Wanwan was stunned.
She had watched her own husband throw their daughter out...
...knowing full well that it would put their daughter’s life in danger!
Zhang Wanwan was a mother with little sense of responsibility, as addicted to gambling and indulging in pleasures as Qin Chengzhi, and she did not care much for her daughter.
But she still retained the most basic sense of conscience—a mother’s conscience towards her daughter.
Such a cruel act completely dumbfounded her.
Yet Qin Chengzhi seemed unconcerned; to him, his daughter was just a lost cause, dead or alive. As long as he could save himself, that was all that mattered.
In order not to be suspected, he continued to shout, "I just wanted to give my daughter a closer look, I never expected that she would fall out by accident! What do we do? Is she in danger?"
Everyone in the vehicle was drawn to Qin Chengzhi’s cries for help, and upon closer inspection, they saw that Qin Luoyun was already outside.
They hurriedly called out to the driver, "Driver, stop the car! Quick, stop the car! Somebody has fallen out!"
The driver promptly applied the brakes.
Even though the bus had been moving very slowly, they had still traveled seven or eight meters away from where Qin Luoyun now lay behind them.
After falling from the not-so-high minibus, she landed on her bottom, stunned, and for a moment, forgot to even cry.
"Driver, open the door quickly!" The kindergarten teacher was terrified and urgently requested the driver to open the bus’s door.
"No, no, you can’t just open the door like that!" the driver hesitated, unsure whether to comply.
He was afraid that opening it might lead to even more severe consequences.
"A child has fallen out, you should really open the door, driver!" urged another parent nearby.
They were all parents themselves, unable to remain indifferent to a child in danger.
The driver was moved and was about to open the door.
Suddenly, a tiger walked past the side of the bus, heading straight for Qin Luoyun.
The driver dared not open the door any longer.
"No! We can’t open the door! The animals here are raised in a semi-wild state, full of wildness. They hunt; they attack humans!" the driver said firmly.
