Chapter 259: Chapter 259: The Mighty Little Nephew (1)_1
Qin Yuze didn’t show any irritation, with a faint smile hanging on his lips.
Being watched by the little guy, Qin Yuze didn’t slack off, working through each question one by one.
His academic performance wasn’t actually as bad as his parents thought, he was just lazy and didn’t see the point, so he never really tried on tests.
Now, with Susu acting as the "supervisor," he inexplicably felt at ease and concentrated on the problems.
Susu couldn’t understand any part of Qin Yuze’s paper; to her those heaps of symbols might as well have been hieroglyphs.
But seeing how smoothly Qin Yuze wrote, she thought he was very impressive.
What a fantastic little nephew!
Qin Xingzhi and Susu were separated just by an aisle, which made it convenient for him to keep an eye on Susu at any time.
The person Qin Xingzhi had an appointment with hadn’t arrived yet, so his gaze remained fixed on Susu.
His sister was really adorable, the way she held the milk bottle was so well-behaved!
Qin Xingzhi viewed Susu through rose-colored glasses, feeling that whatever she did was cuter than average.
Looking at his sister, Qin Xingzhi silently decided to double his efforts.
He had to make it through this crisis by any means, to provide her with a good life.
It was no big deal for boys to endure some hardships, and his sons were grown up now, not requiring too much of his worry.
But girls, they should be brought up in comfort.
His sister was still so young and would face many challenges in life. Only if they, her brothers, were strong, could they ensure that she grew up carefree.
While pondering, Mr. Zhu, whom he had scheduled to meet, arrived.
A middle-aged gentleman in suit and leather shoes, with an ordinary appearance and a kind face.
Qin Xingzhi stood up to greet him, "Mr. Zhu, thank you for going to the trouble of coming all this way."
"Please don’t mention it, I just so happened to have business on this side too, and besides, Mr. Guo is an old friend of mine. He seldom makes introductions, so I had to meet the person he recommended so highly," Mr. Zhu replied.
Hearing this, Qin Xingzhi felt somewhat ashamed. Mr. Guo’s recommendation wasn’t because of him, but his sister.
But Qin Xingzhi quickly saw the light.
If it was due to his sister’s credit, he should seize the opportunity even more, striving harder to produce tangible results to repay her!
"Mr. Zhu, let’s sit down and talk," Qin Xingzhi said with a smile to Mr. Zhu.
"Of course, of course, let’s take our time," Mr. Zhu replied.
Qin Xingzhi and Mr. Zhu settled down to discuss business.
They had been talking for about five minutes when a man wearing a duckbill cap entered the restaurant.
He walked straight toward Qin Xingzhi.
Engaged in pleasant conversation with Mr. Zhu, Qin Xingzhi was oblivious to the impending danger.
The man suddenly appeared, grabbed him by the clothes, and yanked him up.
"Qin Xingzhi you bastard! Pay back the money you owe us now!" the man yelled at Qin Xingzhi, "The Qin Family owes so many people their wages, that’s our blood and sweat money! If you don’t pay us back today, I won’t let this go!"
The man’s actions and voice alarmed everyone in the restaurant, and all eyes turned to Qin Xingzhi and the man dressed in black with a duckbill cap.
Mr. Zhu, sitting across from Qin Xingzhi, was also startled.
His body stiffened, tipping backward, and he stabilized himself by grasping the back of his chair.
Qin Xingzhi looked confused, and it took him several seconds to ask, "Who are you?"
He didn’t recognize the man and was even less clear about what he was saying!
Although the Qin Family factory had recently stopped production due to a raw material issue, there had been no instance of wage arrears.
