The Greatest Disciple of the Evil Sect
Chapter 373- Emperor of the Tianyun Empire

Chapter 373: Chapter 373- Emperor of the Tianyun Empire

It was not only a powerful weapon wielded by the sect master of the once mighty sect, but it was also of a very high grade. Most importantly, it is the source that allowed Bai Changfeng’s strength to spike to a whole new degree. What’s more, it was also his loot, a trophy of his victory.

"Hmm? Why won’t it work?" Yang Chen grabbed the hammer and gave it a few swings. However, unlike when Bai Changfeng was holding it, there was no impressive release of lightning or berserk increase in his strength.

On the contrary, the weapon felt as if it was dead.

"Of course you can’t. This weapon is a soul weapon; only the user recognised by its previous owner can use it. What’s more, you need to practice a corresponding cultivation technique to even bring out its power. It is why I said your Ethereal grade spear is better in that you don’t have to learn another cultivation technique just to use a weapon".

Hearing Amon’s explanation, Yang Chen looked visibly distressed. However, this state of his did not last long since he realised he could sell the weapon for a pretty sum even if he could not use it.

"Amon, how much will this weapon be worth if I sell it to the system? It has to be worth a lot right, given that it is a soul tier weapon and has the power of a powerful practitioner stored inside it?"

The demon grinned before giving his report "I analysed it while you were unconscious. The power stored inside the hammer is quite useful for the system to recover its energy. As such, its worth is even higher than some high soul grade items".

Saying that, the demon extended three of its claws.

"3?... 30,000 points?"

It shook his head.

Yang Chen’s eyes went wide, and he couldn’t help but mutter "300,000 points?"

The demon finally nodded his head, grinning widely. 300,000 points that was such a huge sum of points that it was only natural for one to have a hard time believing it.

All this time, he was desperately working hard to increase his mischief points to the point where he left no stone unturned. Although he was able to earn some decent points from the recent endeavours, 300,000 was still a pretty hefty sum of points.

With this, he wouldn’t have to worry about points for a short while.

"This is the training ground where disciples train, that is the medicinal hall where many alchemists gather and medicinal herbs are grown. That is..."

Two people could be seen walking on a sidewalk. One was a devastatingly beautiful girl whose high spirit turned the world itself around her bright and the other a handsome young man about six feet tall.

Who could the man and woman be other than Yang Chen and Tang Xun’er? That’s right, Yang Chen had hit his growth spurt and was now around six feet tall. What’s more, his constant journey and fights slowly carved the person he was, solidifying his aura and nature.

Everywhere they walked, they would turn heads. The image of a beauty blooming and a handsome man walking side by side was that striking.

Maids would giggle at them, soldiers saluted, and every other person would give them due courtesy. Well, he was just a guest here; the one they were actually paying respect to was Tang Xun’er.

The latter was at this moment acting as a guide, showing him around the palace. However, her identity couldn’t be mistaken. She was after all, the princess of this empire.

"Father said that he wants to meet you, let’s go".

If a princess was calling someone father, then it could only mean one thing: he was about to meet the emperor of the Tianyun Empire.

Slight nervousness appeared on his face as he entered a huge, magnificent palace and stood before a door. The man he was about to meet was a ruler of a nation, a true born leader and one of the few elite practitioners of this world.

More importantly, they were also his benefactor, having harboured him despite the objections of the Yan clan.

"Relax, father is the most benevolent and nice person in the world" Noticing his nervousness, Tang Xun’er couldn’t help but comment.

’Maybe to you, you are his dearest daughter after all’ Yang Chen wanted to remark.

Soon, the door was opened, and a group of armed soldiers whose cultivation each reached the Battle Overlord realm, stepped out.

"Princess" The first thing they did was salute Tang Xun’er before placing their attention on him.

"He is Yang Chen, father wants to meet him".

The soldier who seemed to be the leader of the group, nodded "We are aware. His majesty the emperor is waiting for you inside. Please allow this Guozhong to escort you".

The man was quite tall with a well built and fierce face. With him leading, the two headed in.

The place was a library with numerous bookshelves, stairs and tables decorating the place. At the end of the hall, hung a long tapestry, woven in gold and silver, it depicted the flag of the empire.

Standing in front of it, with his back facing the audience, was a big man with a straight gait. He wore elegant clothes, had a head full of black hair with some white mixed in between, cutting quite a dashing figure.

Most importantly, the aura he carried around him gave others quite an overwhelming and authoritative impression.

"Your majesty, they are here" The soldier named Guozhong spoke.

After him, Tang Xun’er paid her respect, followed by Yang Chen.

"Hm"

The emperor nodded before turning around. He had a stoic face, sharp eyebrows, creases over his forehead, and a well trimmed beard. Broad shoulders and wide back, he was the very embodiment of what Yang Chen thought an emperor should look like.

"Haha, Xun’er you are finally willing to see your old man"

That said, that image did not last long as the emperor’ stoic attitude soon crumbled to give way to a doting father who loved his daughter very much.
