Yang Chen answered with an affirmative nod. The next second, the elder got up and snapped his fingers. Immediately, his battle energy erupted like a volcano, dispersing and scattering the darkness around them.

"I sealed that guy in the depths of this abode by burning my essence blood".

A path leading deep inside the underground chamber was made. Du Wen glanced at Yang Chen and snapped his finger once again. A barrier covered the latter, hiding his presence.

Deep inside the underground chamber, there was a crimson blob of matter. Like a tumour, it pulsed with deep crimson light, diabolical and unsettling.

Tendrils sprouting from the tumour spread around the surroundings, slithering and sliding down the ground like a tree. These tendrils that looked like roots moved from time to time and produced the eerie darkness that was present all around this underground chamber.

BLOB... suddenly, there was movement deep inside the tumour, and a pair of unsettling eyes opened.

"Du Wen, it seems like you still haven’t learned your lesson. The likes of you cannot kill me, give up".

Du Wen stepped forward and snorted "Even if I have to grind my existence today, I will cleanse this world of filth like you"...

"Kekeke... all those years ago, when me and my people invaded your sect, you were all helpless against our might. We easily destroyed your sect and killed all members. Their screams as they watched one after another their fellow sect members and beloved getting killed, still echoes in my ears like a symphony"...

"Kill me you say? The likes of you? You failed then, becoming this hideous figure just to suppress me. No matter how many times you struggle, the result would still be the same" the voice from the tumour cackled.

"Shut up, today will be the day we come to a resolution"

BANG... Du Wen was in no mood to mince any words, he swiftly made some seals and numerous mysterious orbs formed around him. These orbs revolved around his body and released extremely destructive energy that scarred the very space.

Ten beams of light targeted the tumor. However, before they could come closer, a purple hand made of gas, destroyed all of them.

RIP... A long slit appeared on the tumor and from it, covered in gooey and repulsive substance, slithered out a man.

He was tall, had long black hair and unsettling pale skin. His eyelids were red and the aura he gave evoked fear in others. Clothes made of battle energy appeared on his person as he stood in the air in front of Du Wen.

"Haha, my body is almost complete. Looks like your effort was for nothing. After I kill you, I’ll get out of this place and kill any remnant descendants of your sect... kekeke" The man proudly declared.

Du Wen eyes shook when he saw how nearly complete the body of his adversary was. The horrors from three hundred years ago flashed in his mind. However, he quickly suppressed all fears and channelled his battle energy to his limits.

Numerous stars appeared before him, turning into energy particles that pierced through space.

"Today, you must die here Chen Xuan... [Star Purifying Light]"

Numerous light rays packed with extreme destructive power, formed all around the underground cave, lighting the place like it was the time of the day. These light rays that looked like actual stars, shoot towards Chen Xuan.

In response, the latter puffed his mouth and released a deep gurgling noise. The darkness inside the underground chamber churned as if heeding his will, forming a gigantic mouth that looked like the maw of the devil.

The light rays that could even penetrate through space, seemed to have met its match. All light rays when it came in contact with the mouth, was swiftly devoured. Du Wen didn’t stop there, he used various other skills and means to destroy the mouth.

BOOOM... BOOOM... BOOM... unable to handle the powers of two super powerful experts, the entire underground chamber shook, ground and ceiling collapsed in many areas and it looked like mini disaster.

"Such power!! These monsters" Observing their battle from a place not far, Yang Chen couldn’t help but comment. The battle between these two monsters from hundreds of years ago, was eye opening and broke all of his conception about his own strength.

Every little move or exchange they had was packed with devastating powers, too swift for his eyes to follow. From his view, they might just be bands of light, streaking across the place. He couldn’t imagine him taking a part in this battle.

"So the person he wants me to kill is that guy huh"

Yang Chen muttered as he swiftly drew near the tumor. The skills the man named Chen Xuan used, was all dark and chaos type that was abhorred by this world.
