Its trunk was wide and extensive with lava dripping down from its bark. However, it was not the magnificent sight of the tree or the fact that it managed to grow in a field of lava. No, what took away his breath was the white rainbow mist that covered the tree in a profound and enigmatic way.

On Amon’s suspicions, Yang Chen searched the altar. Other than the Soul Spiritual Tree, there was nothing here. To make sure he didn’t overlook anything, he even used his skill and soul energy to search.

However, he found nothing. In this place other than the Soul Spiritual tree, there was only that dias there.

"Could it be..." Yang Chen had this vague hunch and approached the dias. Perhaps, the real treasure that was supposed to be protected by the Sky Devouring Flame formation was something that was on this dias.

It was a vague hunch with no basis. However, it was proven right when he touched the dias. The next second, his vision blacked out and he found his consciousness getting drawn into a mysterious place.

When he could see clearly again, Yang Chen found himself standing at the same place looking at the same scenery.

He was inside the Sky Devouring Flame Formation of the ancient sect. That said, there was a day and night difference between the current formation and the one he was used to seeing.

The Sky Devouring Flame Formation in front of him churned with energy that could annihilate everything. All around him, pillars of flames surged, coiling and twisting like dragons.

At the centre of this vast pool, was the island where the altar was. If Yang Chen had to point out the difference, then it would be the absence of the huge Soul Spiritual Tree that should have been there.

Instead, what was here, was a huge piece of rock levitating on top of a dais.

CRASH... the scene broke and Yang Chen’s consciousness was pulled back to his body.

"What happened? Are you alright? You suddenly stopped moving" Next to him was Amon, his voice buzzing with concern.

"Huff... Huff... I saw a vision"...

"Yeah, you were right. I think I saw the thing that was being protected by this array"

That huge rock that should have been levitating above that dais. It was the only thing that was absent here. That aside, the vision of the rock he saw earlier, he had a vague recollection of seeing something like this before too.

It was during the Infernal Tower Battle, on the top floor. Yang Chen saw something similar when he entered his soul energy into that stone monument. For these stones to be kept in such a remote and protected place. It definitely had to be some kind of treasure.

"Speaking of rocks...!!!" Yang Chen who was in the midst of his thoughts, was alerted by a sudden presence that was quickly getting near.

"They have reached here already?"

This was concerning. The only reason he could reach the centre of the array faster than anyone was because of the Demonic Puppet which became bait for him by attracting the demonic beast towards itself.

How could others reach this place so fast?

Within a few breaths of time, a dark figure covering their appearance with a robe, came rushing from the outer perimeter of the island.

"Hoh, a Soul Spiritual Tree huh? no wonder it is so heavily protected" the figure muttered in a raspy voice. They stared at the tree greedily before finally noticing the presence of Yang Chen nearby.

"Hm? To think someone else managed to get here before me. How is that possible? Hmph, it doesn’t matter. That Soul Spiritual tree will go to the young master of my clan" Without bothering to hide his voice, the figure declared arrogantly.

Nearby, Yang Chen furrowed his brows after hearing that arrogant declaration. Given by their voice, he reckoned that the other party was quite aged. Additionally, the fact that they were able to reach this place so soon also spoke about their ability.
