Not expecting him to react like that, both the other elder and Bai Changfeng were shocked.

"What is heading this way?"

"The powerful presence of the demonic beast I felt earlier. It’s heading this way. However, I have deliberately been avoided venturing into its territory. Why is it suddenly heading our way?"...

"How powerful is it?" the other elder asked.

"From its aura that I sensed earlier, it is a genuine battle overlord realm Demonic Beast. Probably a two star"...

When they heard that, Bai Changfeng’s expression suddenly became ugly. Demonic Beasts unlike humans are gifted with tough bodies thus making them more difficult to kill.

A single demonic beast which was only a step away from reaching the battle overlord realm was already extremely difficult to kill and needed both the Battle Overlord Elders to work in tandem to kill it.

Yet now in front of them stood a demonic beast which had genuinely stepped into the Battle Overlord realm and was a two star on top of that.

"We need to escape right now. Young master we will secure a path for you, please go on ahead while we stop the demonic beast" the elders spoke. They stood in front of him as if shielding him.

"Kuh! Dammit... alright, I will be going on ahead. Join me once you are done here"

He knew that even though both the elders with him were also genuine battle overlord realm experts, they were only one star. Even with them working together, it was not possible to win against that beast.

Seeing Bai Changfeng move away, the two elders sighed in relief before placing their attention on the incoming beast. Apparently, it had already sensed their scent and locked onto them.

"This is going to be difficult but we cannot lose one of the two greatest talents of our sect here". Saying that, the two elders released all their aura and prepared for battle.

It was then, bringing along with it a storm of dust, the beast appeared. The demonic beast that was like the very embodiment of darkness and shadow. Two horns protruded from its head, it had ferocious wolf like head with razor sharp teeth overflowing with drool.

Its forearms were long and wide, easily reaching the ground. It stood on its forelegs and glared at them with the eyes of a predator.

"Dammit is that a Shadow Demon Wolf?"...

"How horrible our luck must be to have encountered it here". The Shadow Demon Wolves are said to be quite an annoying demonic beast to deal with.

The elders grunted. They each successfully utilised their battle skills and initiated the battle.

In return, the Shadow Demon Wolf who stood at more than five meters tall, gave a piercing howl that shook the air and brandished its large claws.

Everything within a few meters area was cleanly bisected into pieces whenever it swiped those claws of its. Not only that, the bite of the demonic beast could shatter boulders and its demonic energy effectively reduced all incoming damage.

Whether it be speed or durability, the Shadow Demon Wolf had the two battle overlord elders beat.

Watching the battle on top of a tree branch, Yang Chen smirked. He tossed what looked like a horn in hand before storing it in his space ring.

"Siren’s Horn, an artefact that is able to call demonic beasts from far away. Well, basically it is like the Power of Hysteria but much better since it can induce frenzy in a demonic beast from the distance silently and stealthily".

Powder of Hysteria was one of the items he purchased back when he was still stuck in the Star Fall Jungle. It had already proven its effect given how he was able to create a demonic beast stampede with it.

However, the disadvantage of the powder was that it needed him to be very close to the demonic beasts to activate its effects. However, the Siren’s Horn had no such disadvantage and could achieve the effects of the powder of hysteria from far away.

"Since it costs so much, I couldn’t buy it before. However, spending points on it now doesn’t seem like a waste. Anyways, that young master of the Ocean Splitting sect went that way. I need to give chase"

Using [Shadow Advent] Yang Chen covered his presence and rushed after Bai Changfeng.

Not far away, Bai Changfeng who was running towards the exit of the forest, could still hear the continuous sounds of the battle.

Everybody fawned over him, the elders were no exception. Be it skill or aptitude, he was a genius and not inferior to the junior sect master of their sect at all.

"I can see through the end of the forest" Just as he jumped off a tree and saw the exit, his right arm suddenly twisted, spurting blood and dislocating bones.

"AArgghhh!!" Bai Changfeng screamed, falling face first on the ground. Blood continuously seeped out from his right hand and multiple of his bones were broken.

"What.. is going on? Where did the attack come from?"

He was just about to reach the end of the forest when suddenly an attack hit him out of nowhere. What was surprising was that he couldn’t see or sense the attack. It was almost as if it travelled through space and hit him in an instant.

"Where did I get attacked from?" Bai Changfeng hurriedly propped himself up. Even though he was injured and taken by surprise, he was nonetheless a genius of the Ocean Splitting Sect.

That said, searched as he much, he was unable to find the assailant.
