"It’s a powerful and profound formation used by sects in the ancient times. You hardly see these kinds of complex formations being used these days. Don’t worry, I know how to break the formation. However, it will only be in effect for a few seconds. During that time, you need to make use of that opportunity and sneak in".

Yang Chen and Tang Xun’er nodded their heads. They wasted no time and quietly snuck in front of the gate. Given that many people had come before the gate to try their luck, their actions did not evoke much attention.

"Yun... we are here" Tang Xun’er quietly spoke to her demonic spirit partner.

"I’m on it, it will take some time. Till then, don’t move from here and also try your best not to attract any suspicions".

Saying that, Yun transformed into a flash of light that shot into the gate. As for the two of them, they could only look on and wait for him to complete his task.

That said, standing in front of the gate for so long was a tall order. Their actions were bound to attract a few suspicious glances.

"Hey, you two have been standing there for quite a while. Have you found something unusual? If so then why don’t you share with all of us?" As expected, someone came over while casting a suspicious look at them.

However, that said solving the inscription formation was easier said than done. Forget about one as ancient and profound as the heaven demon array laid on the tower, even the most basic ones were extremely complex and needed a practitioner who has researched and learned about inscription and is adept in deciphering them to actually be able to break it.

A person like that was highly famous and their reputation was not inferior even when compared to an alchemist. There is no way an inscription master would be present among this rag tag bunch of groups.

The inscription on the gate was unbreakable which is why, they were mulling their heads and coming up with some other ideas.

The practitioners listening in were disappointed and removed their attention from the two of them. Yang Chen grinned at the girl next to him. Although she was quite handful and totally unaware of how the world worked, she could be quite cunning at times.

Anyways, just as Yun said, breaking the formation really took some time. During that time, Yang Chen and Tang Xun’er waited in front of the gate.

Many practitioners and groups approached them some with the intention to observe the gate while others wanted to know if they knew something. Needless to say, all of them turned back in disappointment after finding out nothing.

"Yun, how much longer will it take?" Tang Xun’er questioned.

As time passed by, more and more people gathered in front of the tower, getting drawn by the mysterious fluctuation it released. By now, there was a large crowd in front of the tower and given from their auras, it was clear that they were impatient from waiting.

If Yun did not hurry up, they had no doubts that these people would actually try to force their way in, just like how they tried to enter the ancient monolith.

"Just a little more, I am about to break it" On her insistence, the demonic spirit started hurrying up.

Time passed by, finally there was some change. A small formation the size of a plate, appeared on Tang Xun’er’s palm.

As it quietly rotated, it resonated with the large inscription carved on the gate.

A success!! The two of them looked at the formation in excitement.

"That formation is the key to breaking the array. Remember, the formation once activated will only be able to sustain itself for a couple of seconds before the array breaks. You only have a small window of time, use that opportunity to get in"

Yun reminded. With a flash of light, it returned back inside the pendant. Evidently, creating the formation to break the array had exhausted him quite a bit.

Yang Chen and Tang Xun’er nodded their heads. They looked at the throng of people not far away before frowning.

Given the number of people gathered in this place, it was a little too late to break the array without attracting attention. The formation once activated would set the inscription carved on the gate of the tower in motion.

Yang Chen looked at Tang Xun’er who immediately understood his intention. She quickly got into activating the formation in her palm.
