"This does not make sense" Yang Chen muttered to himself.

It would have made more sense had the Yan clan placed their people all around the province and the various cities. However, from the look of things, they seem to be concentrating their forces specifically around the new moon city almost as if they already knew where he was headed.

It couldn’t be, could it? The graveness in his eyes intensified before being replaced by a sudden surge of ruthlessness.

Since the Yan clan wanted to become complete enemies with him, he would show them how brutal he could be. Even an injured animal can bite back once pushed to the edge.

"Hehe" Yang Chen laughed sinisterly and placed his attention on the seven lambs that the Yan clan offered to him.

Since these people knew an awful lot about him, he needed to investigate them, especially that Battle Grandmaster. He was the leader of their group and he obviously held a lot of information.

And so, while the seven people intensely discussed about the person named Yang Chen, the topic of their discussion himself slowly drew near them. Just when he was a few meters away from them, he extended his hands and grinned.

"[Thousand Shadow Chains]" Immediately, the shadow underneath flickered and multiple solid black chains shot out from his shadow.

Blood came from the mouths of these people as they were suspended in the air by the chains and could barely turn their heads around to see who it was that attacked them.

When they saw it was a youth who looked fourteen or fifteen years old, had an exceptionally handsome face and gave off an evil kind of elegance, their eyes widened and they immediately recognised who it was.

That appearance, there was no way they wouldn’t recognise it after all, it was on the wanted poster everywhere around the Yan province.

The youth in front of them was none other than the perpetrator who had attacked their fourth young master. Just a second ago, he was conversing with his juniors and fellow member when suddenly chains came out of nowhere and pierced a hole through their chests.

Being a Battle Grandmaster, he was barely able to sense the attack and dodge it; however, his teammates weren’t as fortunate as him. As he saw their lifeless cold corpse and the smiling expression of the perpetrator, a chill ran down his spine.

This youth in front of him was the person their Yan clan was hunting and their topic of discussion. Who knew he would suddenly pop up in front of them out of nowhere?

"Dammit, I need to send the signal to the clan" His eyes lingered over the corpses of his fellow members for a few more seconds before he made an ugly face and turned around to flee.

However, at the very instant when he turned around, he realised that a black chain protruded out of the ground where he was standing on and was tightly binding his leg.

"When did it?" He did not have the time to mutter the whole sentence as the chain broke out of the ground while pulling him with it.

Now hung upside down, the One Star Battle Grandmaster could only look in defeat at the youth whose shadow these chains protruded from. No matter how he struggled, he was unable to break free of this chain.

To make matters worse more and more chains came flying at him, tightly binding him in place.

"Dammit," It was only now that he realised that he didn’t manage to dodge the attack but was instead deliberately left off alive.

Why would the other party do that? Yang Chen looked at the One Star Battle Grandmaster who was now suspended upside down in the air in front of him and grinned. There was only one reason he left this person alive and that was to investigate him.

"Are you going to use the [Soul Searching Skill] on him?" Amon asked looking at the pitiful Yan clan member with half opened eyes.

Yang Chen nodded his head. Earlier, when he was observing their group, he understood that this person clearly knew a lot of information and he needed to investigate that to understand his situation better. What were the Yan clan’s plans and how did they know he would be arriving at the new moon City?

Step... As he stepped towards that one Star Battle Grandmaster the latter tried to break from the bindings. However, the fiercely he struggled, the more he realised that the tighter the chains were constricting him and it was impossible to get out of it.

What’s more, he was also starting to feel weak all of a sudden as if all of his energy was disappearing mysteriously. Evidently, these chains were draining his energy.

With an aghast face and eyes widened to their limit as if he had seen a ghost, he looked at the youth and asked "What are you? This... this is demonic skills... you are a demonic cultivator?!!"
