Chapter 212: Chapter 212- Slight Complication

"Who cares, if you are done eating let’s head out. Have you thought about where to go next?" Amon questioned.

"Hmm about that, I’ll just go with the flow since I don’t know anything about this city. If anything catches my interest, I will try my hands on it"...

"As I thought so, you don’t have any plans. Then... why not go to the Alchemist Association branch in this city and get your alchemist certification?"

From the diary of the Great Sage Emperor, Yang Chen understood that it was a very important step for an Alchemist to get their Alchemist Certification.

Alchemist Certification was an exam conducted by an association formed by many reputed Alchemists to judge and verify the ability of new Alchemists.

The exams are set up in a way to evaluate and determine their exact ability. Most importantly, the Alchemist certification is what determines a real alchemist from that of an imposter.

It is very important for people in this profession to go through this exam as it would provide them with an authentic identification which proves that they are an Alchemist.

All the alchemist in the world go through such a process and have some form of identification on them to prove their ability. After all, it is not realistically possible for an alchemist to display their skill every time.

In a case like this, having an identification becomes very crucial. Especially for newcomers who have newly stepped into the field and have yet to make a name for themselves. One could get their Alchemist certification from the Alchemist Association or from their recognised branch.

"Alchemist certification huh? Sounds interesting" Thanks to the Divine skill he got from the diary of the Great Sage Emperor, it could be said that he was already a real alchemist.

However, since he planned to practice alchemy in the future, it would make things convenient if he had some kind of identification that proved his ability with him. Or else, just like what had happened back then in the Zhang clan hall, he would have to display his ability to the others once again.

Now that he thought about it, it was a mistake on his part to intrude the Zhang clan posing as an alchemist without having any identification with him.

It was a good thing that the people in the remote city like the cloud city didn’t know much about Alchemists. Or else back then if his enemies had asked for identification, he would have been hard pressed to provide one.

Since that was the case, Yang Chen decided to get his Alchemist Certification from the Alchemist Association branch in Yan City.

"Alright, let’s go give this exam a try" In any case, he had nothing else to do.

Just as Yang Chen got up from his seat, he noticed people come down from upstairs. He was not overly surprised since he heard the other customer’s voice a while ago. Neverhtless, he didn’t think there would be so many other customer besides him in this establishment.

"Hoh, the upper floors must have some kind of array installed that isolated one’s presence. It was no wonder that you weren’t able to sense them" Amon remarked equally surprised.

For a food place to have something like this, it seemed that the place they were in was not as simple as it looked.

"Hoh, so you are the brave one?"

When Yang Chen saw the other party, the latter also saw him. Their eyes which were filled with hubris, suddenly turned amusing and playful.

Even without his heightened senses, Yang Chen could still feel their faint ill intent directed towards him.

"What did I do now? I don’t even know the other person, there shouldn’t be any reason for them to show hostility towards me" He muttered confounded by the other party’s sudden display of ill intent.

"It’s not you.. haa, maybe you are just unlucky"

Amon replied. It felt like it was just a few minutes ago that he talked to Yang Chen about offending anyone without any thought. Yet now, the very same thing he feared, happened.

"Hey, you can’t blame that on me"

While the two of them were bickering, the person walked down the stairs. He was a tall man with a thin build. Decked out in expensive looking clothes from head to toe, he gave off a rich spoiled young master aura.

His face was downright average with no impressive features. The only thing that stood out about him was his crimson long hair and the group of girls that he was surrounded by.

There were also two burly men who looked like his henchmen, walking behind him.

’Silk Pants’ one look at him, and Yang Chen immediately knew what kind of person they were.

The silk pants walked down and was immediately approached by the waiter who also served Yang Chen.

"Young master Yan Ming, I hope that the food was to your liking. If anything bothered you on our establishment, please don’t hesitate to tell me".

The other party’s name was Yan Ming and just like he had guessed they were the young master of some influential clan.

"There was no problem with the food; however..." Yan Ming began, his sleeves moved and a slap came striking the waiter.

BANG... the force sent him crashing onto the tables.

"Didn’t I tell you specifically that I’m booking the whole place and not to take any other customers while I’m here?".

The waiter pulled himself up and kowtowed "You did say that young master Yan Ming".

"Hoh if you know that, then tell me how another customer was able to walk inside here? Did you think that I wouldn’t find out or were you taking my words lightly?" Yan Ming gestured with his chin and the lackey behind him rushed forward and grabbed the waiter.

"Y-Young master, it wasn’t my intention to offend you. I wasn’t taking your words lightly... it’s just that I forgot to put up a notice outside the shop. Before I realised my mistake, this customer walked in and sat on a table. I tried to get him out but then you ... arrgh!!"
