Chapter 210: Chapter 210- Gourmet Pavilion
From this, it could be understood that Alcemhy was not a profession that anyone could just enter. One not only needs talent but also tons of money to practice alchemy.
If not for the [Shop], Yang Chen too would have to buy all those ingredients from the market just like all the other alchemists.
"Hmm, what’s this? This item... the location the [Map] is showing is deep underground" Yang Chen muttered looking at the [Map] in front of him.
"A natural treasure that formed underground! Wait could it be?! Brat start digging, if that item shown in the [Map] is really there, then we have stumbled on a real treasure" Amon suddenly became frantic at the mention of a treasure.
And so on his insistence, Yang Chen started digging. An effort that would prove to be very time consuming...

The next day, at the break of dawn when the first ray of the sun just started touching the land and the morning mist was yet to scatter, a young man could be seen travelling through a large road.
Lines of carriages and people could be seen queuing in front of a huge gate, waiting to get in.
"Huh?!! Hey, where are you going? Can’t you see the line? Hey, I’m talking to you?"
The young man seemingly passed through the lines of people, ignoring their long stares and words of criticism. Especially from a small young girl appearing to be around nine or ten years old, he just passed by.
Her big beautiful purple eyes threw daggers at his back and her cheeks were pouted in a fashion resembling the cheek pouches of a squirrel. She wore a purple colour dress with silver coloured lines embedded in it.
On her waist, she wore a silver coloured belt highlighting her narrow and delicate waist. Her pretty face along with her elegant and noble dress that matched her inborn haughty aura that she released, told others that she was not of low status.
Ignoring all her snide remarks the young man appeared in front of the guard.
"Halt right there, you need to line up to enter. Young man, go behind the queue..." Before the guard could finish, a purple light flashed in his eyes that reflected the young man’s appearance.
"Ah, excuse my behaviour... you can pass through"
The guard stepped aside, his manner of talking as well as his conduct became strange and sluggish.
The young man nonchalantly passed by the guard and entered through the gate. Behind him...
"What?!! How can they allow anyone to just enter like that? Who is that guy? How can he just walk passed by me?" the little girl complained placing her hands on her waist.
"Mei’er calm down, even if that young man enters before us, it still wouldn’t slow us down. Besides, since he can just enter the Yan City without the guard stopping him, his identity is definitely not ordinary. It is better to avoid trouble"
The old man with a gentle smile behind her, spoke. He wore a long exquisite robe that seemed to be made of some fine material and carried himself with grace. He had a full of white hair, a long beard and wrinkles around the edges of his eyes.
At a glance, he appeared to be an ordinary old man without any remarkable features; however, his eyes which carried a sharp astute light, said something else.
The old man also wore a long neckband around his neck that released a peculiar five distinct colour of ripples that an ordinary person couldn’t perceive.
"Hmph, master, so what if he has some identity? Could it be higher than yours? Even though you are such a renowned person, we are still queuing up in the line. Yet that guy dares to cut in without any shame... hmph" Still resentful, the girl named Mei’er snorted.
Sigh... unable to convince his disciple, the old man could only sigh "I hope we can accomplish the objective we came here for".
Walking past the gate, the young man was greeted with a grand view. Tall buildings with graceful upturned eaves lined up across the edges of the road here.
The pavement was big and well maintained, allowing for even big carriages to travel side by side here. Beautiful trees and plants were planted around the edges of the road in a sequential and planned manner.
Ornate bridges spanned gracefully over meandering rivers, connecting various districts. The place was adorned with the colours of crimson and gold, marking the city as a symbol of power and authority while also giving the city a majestic appearance.
"So this is Yan city huh?! It’s way bigger than any city I have ever travelled to ever since coming to this world" the young man muttered. The term grand was truly appropriate for this city.
"Of course, it is, the Yan City is the biggest city in the Yan province said to be comparable to even the capital. Only a few other cities in the empire can match the grandeur of Yan city" A tiny demon seated atop his shoulder explained.
Who could the peculiar duo of man and demon be other than Yang Chen and Amon? After travelling straight east through the Fallen Mountain Range the whole night, he was finally able to arrive at the city at the first signs of dawn.
As mentioned earlier, the place where they arrived was Yan City, the destination that Yang Chen wanted to explore before he left for the new moon City.
"Be careful, I can sense many powerful presences hidden at every corner of the city. They must be the patrols monitoring the order and law of the place. I know that you want to make up for the time you lost lying on your bed in your previous life. However, be alert at all times. Even though you are inside the city and are protected by its law, there are certain things that even the law cannot protect you from".
