Although his skin was burned here and there and smoke came out of his body, the injuries weren’t fatal enough to render him incapable of fighting.

However, this wasn’t the only surprising thing about him, the moment he came out of those flames, it was as if the entire aura around him had changed. Their strength had spiked and there was a crimson energy enveloping their body like a defensive cloak.

"What did he do? It doesn’t look like the ability of the armour?" Yang Chen turned towards the demon and questioned.

"It’s not an ability of the armour, but their own. When one reaches the Battle Grandmaster class, the battle energy becomes so dense that they can envelop themselves in it, forming a layer of cloak of sorts that increases their defensive capabilities and stopping most attacks".

At Amon’s explanation, he finally understood what happened. So the other party used the cloak around them to stop his flames.

To be able to hold so much battle energy, no wonder he felt the pressure intensify from the bandit chieftain all of a sudden.

That said, even though he knew what his opponent did, it did not change the fact that it became more annoying to deal with them. He was already having trouble dealing with the armour but now he also had to think of a way to penetrate that cloak.

Given how they stood tall even after taking on his flames, anything less than his all wouldn’t have any effect on them. Yang Chen was clear on this part; however, instead of getting swallowed up by despair, he felt exhilaration coursing through his body.

Every nerve and cell of his body became even more excited at the challenge of facing an opponent far stronger than him.
