Feng Kang smiled in contempt and rushed towards the intruder without a care. In his mind, even if his opponent used a weapon, as long as he had the Mindless Slaughter armour, they would not be able to critically injure him.

He was soon proven right when the sword connected with his armour and was unable to do anything. The grin on Feng Kang’s face widened.

The Mindless Slaughter armour was given to him by Wu Zhong and was even inscribed by an Inscription Master. In terms of defence, even a Three Star Battle Master will have a tough time breaching its defence. Much less needs to be said about an ordinary weapon.

On one side watching the battle, were Wu Zhong and Yan Hong who were making quite a peculiar expression at this moment.

"Did you feel it?" Wu Zhong asked.

"Yeah, the fluctuation of their aura seems to be no denser than a Nine Star Battle Master" Yan Hong replied.

"But how can that be? If they are only a Nine Star Battle Master how could they have killed Wuya Zhu, a Battle Grandmaster practitioner and so many of my subordinates?".

It did not make sense to him that the intruder who was able to bring down his entire Iron Blood Bandit brigade and even cause him such wariness, from them to be a mere Nine Star Battle Master.

Wu Zhong believed that the other party was concealing their strength. However, earlier during the battle when the intruder released his battle energy, he clearly sensed the aura of the Nine Star Battle Master from their body. This fact confused him even more.

"They are indeed a Nine Star Battle Master; however, they possess battle skills and items that are clearly above their level. Wu Zhong, take a look at the sword he just took out"

On Yan Hong’s insistence, Wu Zhong looked at the sword in the hands of the intruder.

"What about that sword? Don’t tell me that..."

"What?" Wu Zhong opened and closed his mouth, his eyes glaring intently at the sword in the intruder’s hands.

How could that ordinary looking sword be of equal value to the [Mindless Slaughter] armour he was wearing?

Although he was doubtful, he knew that Yan Hong wouldn’t lie to him. And besides, when it came to artefact refining, the clan that Yan Hong comes from has much more knowledge about it.

The [Mindless Slaughter] armour was also something that came from that clan.

"It’s not only their weapon, the battle skill they are using also seems to be of high grade, especially the Fist skill they are using. Given all of this, it’s no wonder that they were able to kill Wuya Zhu"

Yan Hong surmised, he attributed the other party’s bizarreness to the battle skills they possessed.

It is in human nature to focus on something when it is being flashed. With Yang Chen showcasing his flashy Three Star Sword and battle skills, like flaunting banans in front of monkeys, it was bound to attract attention.

Greed and envy could be seen in the eyes of Wu Zhong and Yan Hong who felt that it was a waste for such treasures to be in the hands of a mere Battle Master.

They were now fully convinced that the only thing to be worried about the intruder was their uncanny skills and the weapon they possessed. They became sure of it after seeing the weapon leave cuts and injuries on the body of a battle grandmaster like Feng Kang.

Although the intruder was just a battle master, the weapon and battle skills they possessed could kill a Battle Grandmaster.

Convinced, that this was the reason behind Wuya Zhus’s death, they did not even doubt for a second there that, Yang Chen had deliberately taken out his Three Star sword and flashed his battle skills to them.

It was all done with the purpose of convincing his enemies that all of his achievement was due to his high grade battle skills and weapons rather than his own strengtH.

He wanted to portray himself as a weakling and wear the sheep skin to play the sheep to eat the tiger.
