As Zhang Zhao barked in anger, he noticed the young man extend his middle finger out to him.

"I have two things to say to you. First, I’m not standing. I’m sitting on a chair. Second, who the fuck are you? I am talking to your clan leader, are you the clan leader? If not then shut the fuck up?".

Extreme mockery, blatant disdain, the youth’s words were full of ridicule.

While the other elders in the hall exchanged glances, taken aback by the youth’s boldness. The target of the ridicule, the third elder, Zhang Zhao seethed with rage at the audacity of the young man’s words.

His face turned crimson with anger, and his hands trembled with fury. How dare this insolent stranger disrespect him and the Zhang clan in such a manner? Even the clan leader did not speak to him in such a manner.

How could Zhang Zhao take it?

"You... you impudent brat! How dare you speak to me in such a manner! See how I kill you today" Zhang Zhao’s voice trembled with anger as he struggled to contain himself. His fists clenched tightly, his knuckles turning white.

He was on the brink of losing control and lash out. However, just when he was about to take action, Zhang Zhehan raised his hands, signalling him to stop.

Feeling extremely frustrated, Zhang Zhao grit his teeth while glaring at the young man. Nevertheless, he still sat back on his seat at the end.

After stopping the third elder, the clan leader of the Zhang clan focused his attention back on the intruder.

"So what business do you have with my Zhang clan?" He asked, his voice calm and composed.

Facing the clan leader who exuded an air of authority, the young man remained unfazed. The latter simply smirked, his black eyes glittering with mischief.

"Hehe, that’s more like it. See that how you discuss, in a civilised manner" The young man’s words were a jab at the third elder whose face looked so red as if they could blow up like a bomb any second.

The young man was plainly saying that he was uncivilised. Zhang Zhao wanted to immediately slap this young man into a bloody paste. However, he still sat back and endured knowing that this was not his place to butt in.

"Are you simply here to create a ruckus? My patience has its limits, state your business now" Zhang Zhehan interjected rousing his battle energy. The hall was immediately covered by his powerful pressure.

"So the clan leader of the Zhang clan is the no nonsense type huh? Fine, I came here bearing good news for you guys. I am sure that you all would definitely like it"

Even though the elders themselves looked slightly uncomfortable facing the pressure released by Zhang Zhehan, the young man on the other hand seemed utterly unfazed. His words were still as irritating as ever, as if he couldn’t care less about the consequences of his words.

"What good news could you have for us?" Zhang Zhenhan inquired aligning his head on his hand resting on the armrest. However, the unexpected words coming out of the youth’s mouth next, immediately caused him to sit back straight once again.

It was not only him, all the elders were momentarily stunned by what they heard.

"What did you say?" Zhang Zhehan couldn’t help but ask again.

"I said that I am here on behalf of elder Zhang Fei. He sent me here to pass you guys a message. He said that the mission was a success, the daughter of the Lin clan’s clan leader was eliminated" the youth repeated.

Not expecting such a message to come from the young man of all people, all the elders seated at their seats, glanced at each other with surprise in their eyes before they all broke out into smiles.

Amidst the mountain of plights, this was the best news they had gotten in these past few days. Words cannot explain how much it meant for their Zhang clan to eliminate that girl.

With the young miss of the Lin Clan who was rumoured to be the greatest genius of their clan, out of the picture, the Lin Clan had now lost the qualification to compete against their Zhang clan.

Things were finally starting to move in their favour.

"As expected of my subordinates. Perhaps I gave them less credit than I was supposed to. So, where are they now?" Zhang Zhao asked expectantly, completely forgetting about his earlier animosity.

Silence descended in the clan hall as all eyes focused on the young man, wanting to know more.

"Hmm?!!... that.. right, a little complication arrived after the entrance test ended. Elder Zhang Fei and the others are currently occupied because of it" the young man explained with a beaming smile.

"Hmph, I bet it is the Lin clan. Now that their greatest hope was extinguished in front of them, they must be wanting to take revenge. This must be why Zhang Fei is late" the third elder hypothesised.

The other elders nodded their heads thinking that was the case. With the revelation of the good news, the previously grave atmosphere of the clan hall livened up a little.

All elders showed various kinds of delighted expressions aside from one person, namely Zhang Zhehan. The clan leader of the Zhang clan unlike the other elders wore a serious expression from start to finish. There was no smile on his face even after hearing the good news.

"You where did you hear all that? There is no way Zhang Fei would disclose such an important secret mission to an outsider. Young man you are lying. Who are you?" Zhang Zhehan questioned with a solemn voice.

It was only when their clan leader pointed it out did the elders felt that something was wrong. It was just like their clan leader had said, there was no way the fourth Elder would reveal such a top secret mission to an outsider, much less task them to pass on the message.

"Bastard, are you playing with us? Where is Zhang Fei and how do you know all this?" rousing the battle energy inside their body, the Elders questioned while glaring at the young man.
