"What old man?" Amon questioned.

"Ah, I believe that my body was recovered by an old man who happened to be near the area. He brought me to that cave and saved me from being the dinner of the demonic beasts"

When Yang Chen mentioned that the old man was his lifesaver, Amon couldnlt help but narrow his eyes.

"Why did that old man save you? Did he tell you something? No wait, don’t tell me that you fell for his words and became his disciple or something? Where is that old man now?" the demon bombarded Yang Chen with a mountain of questions.

"Hold on, you are jumping to a conclusion. There is no way, I would become the disciple of someone I just met. Even I have that much of sense. In any case, you don’t have to worry, that old man is already dead"..

"Dead?"..

"Yeah, dead" Yang Chen confirmed "I found his corpse lying next to me when I opened my eyes in that cave. I know what you want to say, that it doesn’t make sense. However, I checked his body and from his temperature, I determined that he hadn’t been dead for long".

"So I came to the conclusion that he died after bringing my body inside the cave. Of course, the possibility of there being another person on the scene cannot be discounted. But I have met no such person during this time. So I believe it was the doing of the old man"..

On Amon’s insistence, Yang Chen continued recounting his tales. He told the latter his actions after he got out of the cave and how he hunted the demonic beasts of the battle master class.

He told Amon how after reaching the second star of battle master class he got out of the forest and his journey from there. His meeting with Lin Mang and his infiltration into the Zhang clan and poisoning their whole estate.

"After that, I decided that it would be better for me if I got admitted to the Holy Orchard academy and thus I joined the entrance academy while being endorsed by the Lin Clan"

After fishing his entire story, Yang Chen looked at Amon who opened and closed his mouth repeatedly as if they were at a loss for words.

"Sigh~ I don’t know where I should start from" Amon caressed his temple feeling a headache coming "I am amazed how you were able to live so far. Your thinking might have changed for the better and you gained some experience but even still, host you fool, you should have put more thought into your actions. Should I say it’s your bad luck? How can one be so misfortuante?"

The demon’s unexpected reaction, caused Yang Chen to be taken aback. "Why are you saying that? It was the best option I could have made at that point in time. You see, joining the Holy Orchard Academy will not only provide me with a safe environment to grow, I can also learn various battle skills and increase their completion rate".

"Or is it about me infiltrating the Zhang clan? You should know how those lingering resentments within this body will not disappear unless, the Zhang Clan or me, one of us does".

"What about this ring?" The latter tilted his head in confusion. He had gotten so much from this space ring and there are still so many things inside just waiting for him to discover. The ring was basically a treasure trove and the pillar of his growth.

So why was Amon picking out fault with the ring?

"Listen up host, I know you haven’t realised it yet, but picking that ring was one of your greatest mistakes or misfortune should I say? Did you think you would just stumble upon a treasure willy nilly? That ring is marked with a powerful intent that is constantly revealing your position to someone".

"I don’t know who that old man was but he was definitely a supreme expert. This ring that belonged to that old man, I’m sure the organisation behind him will come looking for you one day. Sigh, how could you dig yourself into such a deep trap in this couple of weeks that I was gone"

Amon sighed in exasperation. The host was in such dire straits all the while being so clueless that it was frightening.

As one would expect, the moment Yang Chen learned that the ring was marked with an intent that constantly tracked him, blood drained out of his face and the clueless expression on his face was thrown into the gutters.
