The Greatest Disciple of the Evil Sect -
Chapter 112- Power Gap (2)
Chapter 112: Chapter 112- Power Gap (2)
Yang Chen was not a Battle Apprentice stage practitioner like them, but a genuine genius at the Second Star of the Battle Master stage. There was such a vast strength gap between him and those four people that there was just no comparison.
Just a little pinky finger from Yang Chen was enough if he wanted to defeat these people. So imagine what would happen if he was also geared up with Two Star Armours on top.
Whatever damage they could bring out even with their Battle Skills activated, was negated by his Two Star armour and his powerful body.
"B-Battle Master stage?!!" the four people facing him weren’t idiots, they finally somewhat guessed the strength of the person they picked a fight with.
A sense of dread enveloped them, but before they could react, Yang Chen vanished from their line of sight in an instant. The sudden disappearance left them bewildered, their eyes darting around in search of his presence, filled with a mixture of fear and trepidation.
Confusion filled the air as the four individuals exchanged startled glances, their voices tinged with panic.
"Where did he go?"
Suddenly, one of them caught sight of Yang Chen and urgently alerted the others.
"Look behind you!"
Their heads snapped in the indicated direction, their eyes widening in disbelief as they saw Yang Chen standing there all carefree.
"What?!! How is it possible for him to move so freely? Even if he is a Battle Master, didn’t he just arrive on this floor, he should still be adapting to the flame energy,"?" one of the guys blurted out their plan in panic.
However, he soon closed his mouth realising that he had inadvertently revealed their plan.
"Hoh, so you guys were aiming for that huh? No wonder you picked a fight with so much confidence"
A knowing smile curved on Yang Chen’s lips as he listened to their words. It became clear to him why these individuals had chosen to attack him at this particular moment on this specific floor. Their confidence stemmed from their assumption that they would be at a disadvantage, after climbing to the third floor right after.
Every floor has a different level of flame energy, the higher one climbs the more fierce the infernal flames become. Thus when a person enters a new floor, they have to cultivate to make their bodies accustomed to that level of flames.
These people were precisely aiming for that moment when a participant is at their most vulnerable and weakest state. No wonder they did not care about their numbers, these people were that confident that their tactic would work.
And frankly, it was a very good plan. Had Yang Chen been an ordinary person, this tactic might have worked that is. However, too bad for them, Yang Chen was an anomaly amongst an anomaly with a system.
The infernal flames that made all the participants feel an immense pressure bearing down on them and a need to fervently cultivate, only made Yang Chen feel slightly warm. There was no pressure nor any need for him to accustom himself to the flame energy.
Unlike others, the interior of the tower was no different than taking a stroll in the park for Yang Chen.
"Since you guys already attacked, I believe it’s my turn now" Yang Chen flashed a dark smile. He waved his sleeve and in an instant, a scorching blue flame, hotter than even the infernal flames on the third floor, materialized around him. The intense heat radiating from the flames seemed to devour the surrounding air.
These blues flames swiftly condensed together to become a whip in his hand. TA!!...As he swung the whip through the air, a resounding crack echoed, causing a nearby rock to disintegrate into molten fragments. The destructive power of his whip was on full display.
Thanks to practising alchemy in the past few days in the Zhang Manor, Yang Chen had reached the intermediate completion stage in the [Great Napalm Command].
Now the flames that he produced not only had increased heat, but he could also shape and control them any way he wanted.
Seeing the power of that whip, the four opponents facing him gulped audibly and took a step back subconsciously.
When they discussed this plan over with Zhang Hei and Zhang Lei, those two never mentioned that they would have to face a Battle Master stage monster like Yang Chen. At this moment, their stomach was filled with bitterness and they could help but curse the Zhang clan participants in their mind.
They have been fed the wrong information. Their target was a Battle Master rank practitioner who for some reason was able to utilise their full strength even though they just climbed and had yet to acclimate to the infernal energy on the third floor.
Seeing the vast power gap between them, they had already made up their mind. Run!! That was the only option they had.
However, just as they turned around to run, they felt a powerful heat target their back and a swish sound of air being split.
TA..TA..TA..TA...
All four of the participants who were hit by the whip, immediately had their clothes burnt and skin scorched with a hideous injury appearing on their back.
The force of the whip sent each of those four people flying whereafter they crashed on the ground face first and laid there motionless.
"So weak" Yang Chen grinned as he observed the defeated and twitching opponents before him. They were still alive.
Yan Chen chose not to deliver a final blow since killing fellow participants within the tower would tarnish his reputation, something he couldn’t afford at this point. As he aspired to enroll in the outer academy, he needed to uphold a certain image and maintain his character, at least in the public eye.
As such no matter how tempted he felt to kill them and collect their experience ad mischief points, he did not kill them. That said, the elder did mention that in a battle injuries are unavoidable.
While these four individuals had managed to hold onto their lives, their fate was no better than death itself. Struck by Yang Chen’s fiery whip, their bodies, ill-prepared to handle the intense flame energy on this floor, suffered an overwhelming influx that resulted in the destruction of their cultivation.
