The Goddess Made A Mistake Again -
Chapter 434 - 434 - A Forest Girly [ Part 2 ]
At my words, all the people above the trees instantly aim their bows and pulled out arrows to shoot.
The huntress sensing my intention slowly pulled up her bow while bringing out an arrow and strung it, "Do you intend to push this matter even further?"
"Hmph!" I smirk, "We are on an important mission and no matter who tries to stop us, all will be met with the same end!"
At that, not only Keira and Lucian pulled out their weapons but the three thousand soldiers riding behind me aimed their bows at the trees.
All parties, ready for a fight.
…
The young huntress looked around her and calculated quickly. Even though the soldiers had blindly aimed at the trees, the sheer number of those arrows would definitely kill more of her people than those her people would kill.
And that was just the insignificant soldiers, the man in front of her with the humongous sword was even more dangerous.
The young huntress's eyes narrowed as all her instincts tells her to avoid him. She had never felt such danger before and those that came close to such were nothing short of dangerous monsters she narrowly escaped from.
The bow in her hand was steady and ready to shoot just like all her people were. With just one action, she could maybe have a chance to hit a vital point of the monster… but something told her that was a faraway illusion.
The huntress sighed as she slowly put down her bow. Aiming to settle this matter without any violence.
"Alright, you can take the forest and ride through it… but-"
…
I listen attentively, "But… I will take you there personally under my people's vision and if I see you doing anything remotely suspicious, we will attack."
"It won't matter if you have the upper hand, you will not get out of it without difficulty."
I smile at her change of attitude, "Alright, not like you were going to let us pass without security anyway."
I put away my sword away and Keira, Lucian and the soldiers also put away their weapons.
The soldiers feeling satisfied at the situation.
My words didn't change her strong expression and she walked forward.
Jacob smiled and moved ahead to create space, "Miss, you can sit behind me. That guy won't say anything to you with me here." The idiot patted his chest.
Yet like every girl that heard his words, this one too ignored him.
The huntress came beside Reverence and without saying anything, climbed up on her own accord. Sitting behind me, while supporting herself.
"Let's go." She said.
"You can grab me for support if you want to."
"Do you want me to kill you!" Her voice was cold and it came out honestly.
"Well, don't blame me later." I tell her as I kick Reverence's stomach and he reared up at that.
The young huntress, shocked at the movement, grabbed my waist for support.
I look at her hand and smile, "Man, you forest woman really are quite forward."
"You!" The girl felt angry and was about to take off her hand when Reverence starting running.
The huntress having no choice, kept on hugging my waist as I felt her body rely on me. But the sad thing was that, because of my armor, I couldn't feel those huge boobs press on me.
Reverence ran freely ahead as I saw her people on the trees follow us closely.
"Your men are good. They can follow us at our current speed from the trees." I tell her as I feel a prideful smile come to her.
"Of course they are, We of the Wodonic Tribe have been living at this forest for very long. We can freely do anything we want in here." She said.
"So you're from the Wodonic Tribe." The name brought me some memories, "No wonder your behavior felt somewhat similar."
"You… did you just trick me into telling my tribe's name?" She angrily asked.
"What trick lady? You're the one who said it." I tell the girl.
The Huntress coughed at her own slip and her eyes turned curious, "What do you mean by similar? Have you met one of my people before?"
"No, no… it just felt similar to the things written about you guys."
"Really?" She narrowed her eyes suspiciously, "Or have you fought one of my people and are lying about it?"
The huntress made her grip strong and threatened, "Because if it's the latter, it won't end well for you!"
"With how it's going, I might want it go further."
The Huntress felt confused before she understood what I meant and cursed, "You pervert!"
"Since we're already so well acquainted, might as well tell me your name." I say.
"You don't deserve to know it."
"Come onnn, tell me. How about this, mine's Henry, now tell me yours. It's common courtesy."
"Your courtesy could go take a shit!" Her words were quite rough.
What a vulgar woman… I like her.
I laugh at that, "Damn, I like it when a woman speaks her mind. Hey, do you have a boyfriend or something?"
"A boyfriend?" The Huntress narrowed her eyes, "I don't know what you're talking about, but I feel as if your intentions are not pure."
"It rarely is."
The huntress clicked her tongue at that. Then she pointed ahead, "Take a left, there's a trap ahead!"
"As you say, ma'am." I smile and call out, "Follow me everyone and beware, traps ahead!"
"Yes, Sir!"
As per directions, I move left and my company followed me left as well. Just like that, an hour goes by as the Huntress who doesn't tell me her name, directs where to go and I listen attentively.
In reality, I didn't really need her instruction as my eyes already saw far ahead. All the traps in the forest was laid bare to me and I can easily avoid them. But still, I listened to her, not because I wanted to spend time with her… though I wanted too, but because my history tells me I was very bad at direction.
"Stop!"
The Huntress call out sharply and we stop our approach.
She quickly dropped off Reverence and said to me, "This place is enough, you can go ahead from here and would meet the bandits that you're looking for."
"Well, well, little huntress, I didn't say anything about bandits and you already guessed it. Seems like you already know more than you let on."
"Didn't you say you were in a hurry?" She said ignoring my previous words, "Stop chatting and move on."
"Talking with you feels so good that I don't want to leave you so quickly." I say and my eyes wonder around the place.
'So this is how far her tribe has eyes on.' I guess, 'Back then when she directed us, my eyes didn't spot a living soul kilometers around which meant she took us far away from her village.'
'But still… I did see a strange thing once, which makes me think-'
"Lord Tax… shouldn't we be going?" I hear Keira ask and break out of my thoughts to see the Huntress looking at me suspiciously.
I smile and try to tip my hat when I remember I don't have any, "Well then, Little huntress with no name, let's hope we meet each other again."
"I'd rather not."
"Haha… oh, something tells me we will." I wave to her, "Ta Ta!"
With that, we leave ahead as the Huntress stayed at that spot and watched us leave.
…
'That man… did her figure something?'
A man suddenly dropped beside the girl and whispered, "My lady, the chief is calling for you."
The Huntress looked at Henry's back once more before she jumped up and vanished quickly.
