The Chef Rules the Last Days -
Chapter 396 - 395: Blown Away
Chapter 396: Chapter 395: Blown Away
"Kill her," the President didn’t answer her question or rather disdained to answer.
Su Mo curled her lips, her gaze dangerously fixated on that hint of virtual projection, "Mr. President, I will come looking for you."
Feeling like being targeted by a venomous snake, the middle-aged man sitting in a luxurious room trembled his fingers, severed the connection, and glanced at the superpower users guarding outside, all above Level 5.
Kill him?
It was simply a fool’s dream.
Behind Su Mo, a gust of wind attacked; she swung her right hand, and a shield formed, blocking numerous Wind Blades slashing toward her.
These Wind Blades were unlike any she had seen before. Instead of disappearing after striking her shield, they embedded themselves into the steel plates overhead and rapidly attacked her again within seconds.
Su Mo no longer concerned herself with the Wind Blades; her target was directly locked on the man in a combat suit controlling the superpower output.
She arched her body like a cheetah, stepping over numerous corpses as she lunged at her opponent.
Facing Su Mo’s emotionless eyes, the man suddenly froze, his nose and mouth beginning to bleed, an unbearable sensation of boiling blood scorching him from the inside.
The Level 5 Superpower User’s head exploded instantaneously, the burst Crystal Stones turning into a nutrition-less powder, scattering all over his comrade’s face.
"Eyes! Don’t look at the eyes! Attack, attack! Surround her!"
"Team 2, pay attention, Team 2, pay attention, flank from the back door!"
Su Mo was now heading toward the back door, aiming to escape this meeting room that severely restricted her movement; she was also well aware that in this game, there could be only one winner!
At the back door, blinding Thunder struck like a sharp sword directly at her chest.
Su Mo was hit without warning, flung backward to crash against the cold wall, and fell among a pile of corpses.
"Target hit, target hit, real-time strike."
Five or six superpower users entered through the back door, guns raised, their bodies tensed, their focus highly concentrated.
As they approached closer, the disheveled Su Mo lying there was indiscernible whether dead or alive.
At the moment the opponents fired, a vigorous power emanated from within her. Her eyes, showing no emotions, suddenly opened wide like Medusa’s Eye, meeting their horrified gaze.
It wasn’t petrification; it was an explosive manipulation of blood.
The bullets jammed in the muzzles, superpowers ready in hand, but, among those surrounding Su Mo, not one succeeded in attacking.
Among those subsequent team members who arrived, it was like a bloody feast had started, five or six superpower users without heads all fell backward, fountains of blood spurting meters high from their necks.
"Monster..."
Someone had given Su Mo an apt description, which coincidentally was how she defined herself.
Despite so many warriors dying by her hand, not one backed down, for them, following orders overrode their own lives.
This relentless kamikaze warfare and attack mode meant that even Su Mo at her peak was accumulating more and more wounds.
That uncontrollable joy in slaughter tormented her heart yet spread a peculiar smile across her face.
She burst out of the meeting room, its layout shaped like a Swastika, with elevators at the central core; she needed to find the President.
"Stop her! Quickly, stop her!"
Everything the warriors did seemed in vain; Su Mo apparently felt no pain from the special bullets fired into her body.
After knocking down two guards and acquiring an elevator card, her hand formed into a shield once more.
After blocking the last attack, she swiped the card, and the elevator began descending again.
"She’s going down! Teams below, be alert! Protect the Central Control Room! Protect the President!"
In the elevator, her consciousness cleared up a bit, and she began feeling pain. Su Mo tilted her head to look at her shoulder, which had been shot, her expression complex.
"Ding!"
Her ears twitched, and immediately, her right hand transformed into a Wooden Shield, blocking the flames gushing from Xiong Xiong.
She was forced into a corner of the elevator, the high temperatures broiling the box beneath, making her back feel as though it was being grilled on an iron plate.
"Ah!"
She let out a roar of anger and pain as the wooden shield began showing signs of burning but forcefully pushed it out.
The opponent was a Level 6 Fire Ability User, and what had just been grilling her was a Fire Dragon conjured from illusion.
The instant she stepped out, the shield in her right hand was swiftly withdrawn, countless wood vines with flames drawn into her arm. Enduring the pain, a Tang Blade appeared in her left hand, and she charged directly at the superpower user.
The opponent looked to be a superpower user in his thirties, sporting sideburns, and wearing sunglasses, seemingly unaffected by Su Mo’s gaze.
The Fire Dragon lingering around him lunged at Su Mo once more.
She increased her speed to the maximum, the blade in her hand poised to strike down as she appeared in front of the man.
He caught her right hand with one hand, scoffing, "You’ve taken down so many people, and this is all the skill you have?"
Su Mo stared at him unflinchingly, a cold smile suddenly playing across her lips, "You’re too complacent."
Her right hand’s wood vines gathered again, but this time not into a shield but rather a spindle-shaped sharp weapon. The Tang Blade was just a diversion; she never used the blade with her left hand.
The right hand’s shield was retracted just to give her superpower a moment to buffer.
The elongated, nearly half-meter-long piercing wood vine shot directly into the chest of the man in front of her, shattering his breastbone, protruding from his back, and piercing into the metal floor behind him.
Su Mo withdrew her hand, following which a splash of blood sprayed out as the man slowly fell, his expression behind the sunglasses indescribably shocked—he hadn’t expected she had another form.
After retracting the wood spike, blood stained Su Mo’s entire arm red. She wiped it on the dead man’s body, then slowly stood up.
Surviving a challenge above her level was merely by chance.
Feeling an incoming projectile from ahead, she reflexively lifted her shield and retreated.
A huge explosion erupted right in front of her.
Afterward, her right hand lost all sensation.
Su Mo was blown down the corridor, leaving a long trail of blood as she fell to the ground.
Her right arm was completely detached from her shoulder, lying on the ground.
The heart-wrenching pain made her scream aloud.
Her arm was gone, blown off right below the right shoulder, flesh and blood scattered everywhere.
Down the hall stood an exceptionally strong man holding a special firearm.
The black gun still emitted faint wisps of white smoke from the muzzle.
Then came the sound of combat boots clicking and clacking on the floor.
The pain made Su Mo’s mind more lucid; she no longer looked at her arm, sweating coldly as she observed the man approaching her.
Bald, roughly four meters tall, his substantial physique almost filling the entire corridor, resembled Jianxiong’s stature.
He was the last line of defense here.
Just hold on a little longer, just to kill him, just to kill him!
