In some people’s eyes, a magical scene unfolded: although she was all alone, any insect or zombie that approached her was repelled several steps away.

Su Mo’s ears twitched; the voice was hauntingly familiar. She looked toward the source of the sound and saw a middle-aged man crawling out of a battered tent.

Su Mo unconsciously walked a few steps toward him, following Su Huaguang was Mrs. Su.

But she had become an infected person, her face swollen with blister after blister, each filled with several white worms, her eyes nearly bursting open from the pressure.

"All clear," Lu Chen pulled his head back and moved the infected and the car at the front a few feet away.

Li Qian immediately put the car in reverse. "Get in quick!"

Su Mo waved her knife and whispered, "Give me one minute."

Su Mo didn’t miss the worms wriggling under the skin of his arm; he was infected.

Her grip on her knife tightened, and she walked past him toward Mrs. Su. Because of the protective barrier, Mrs. Su was immediately repelled to the ground.

Su Mo held up her knife and whispered softly, "Farewell."

With a swing of her knife, she ended Mrs. Su’s life, releasing countless worms.

Su Huaguang staggered back in fear, "Daughter! Forget about that woman! Save me, quick!"

Su Mo pulled out her knife, turned around, her eyes cold as ice, "You’re infected."

"What, no! I’m not!" Su Huaguang reached out to grab her, looking terrifying. "Save me, hurry!"

He, too, was repelled by the protective barrier and fell to the ground, groaning in pain, "Are you rebelling? Isn’t my life miserable enough?"

Su Mo stood beside him and chopped off an infected person reaching toward her.

Su Huaguang’s body began to tremble, his stomach inflating like a balloon.

Su Mo’s eyes darkened, "Goodbye, Dad."

She raised her hand high and plunged it into Su Huaguang’s head.

Pulling out the knife, both blood and worms spewed out along with the body.

Su Mo left without a backward glance, striding away.

Lu Chen had been waiting by the car for a while, and they both climbed into the back seat, positioning Ling Ye between them while Zhao Changsheng climbed down from the roof and sat in the passenger seat, "Hurry, more are coming from that direction!"

Li Qian started the car and drove off.

Jin Han and Rong Bai were already leading the way, their combined groups amassing a total of ten vehicles.

Rong Bai’s group consisted mainly of soldiers.

As they neared the exit, the number of crushed and damaged cars in the vicinity increased until they were forced to halt at the exit.

The reason was apparent: a pile-up at the gate, with zombies faintly visible entering from outside.

Up ahead, Rong Bai and Jin Han had already disembarked with their men.

Su Mo shut the car door firmly and instructed Ling Ye, who was inside the car, "You and Aunt Jiang stay in the car and don’t move."

Although Ling Ye was frightened, she nodded firmly, "Go, Sister Su."

"Be careful, Chenchen!" Jiang Yulian shouted from the car window towards Lu Chen’s retreating figure.

Su Niang was on the rooftop, surrounded by Mo Yan, Huang Qi, and others putting up a desperate resistance.

But the vehicle below them started to shake, and the people on top could barely keep their footing.

Seeing this, Li Qian sped up, his spiritual power materializing into countless threads, entwining the infected blocking his path. In an instant, their heads were neatly sliced off by the invisible spiritual power.

She relied solely on her protective shield to blast a path through the swarm of corpses.

But it was still too late. Huang Qi hit the ground hard, and Su Niang rolled to the side.

With the two of them as distractions, the number of infected on the other side of the rooftop where Mo Yan and his team were positioned dropped by half. He immediately said, "Go! Let’s break out from this side, Ruo Lin hold our supplies tightly!"

"Commander, Huang Qi is still down there!" Ruo Lin widened her eyes in disbelief.

"He can’t survive, don’t forget these creatures don’t eat grains!" Mo Yan shouted, his flame-throwing mouth targeting the side with fewer infected.

A large area of infected and bugs were scorched, and Mo Yan immediately leapt off the vehicle leading the charge.

Erin stomped her foot, weighing her options for a few seconds before shouting down at Huang Qi, "I need to live, sorry!"

With a few more decoys, everyone on the rooftop jumped off and ran.

Su Mo used her protective shield to temporarily protect the two of them.

Lu Chen hurried over, activating his Cold Ice Barb in a semi-circle beneath his feet, encircling several people inside.

Li Qian quickly went over to help Su Niang up, "Can you walk?"

In his eyes, there was undeniable concern.

"Don’t touch me!" Su Niang pushed him away, one of her hands abnormally bent, a bone poking through, as a creamy-white bug visibly disappeared.
